I was reading through the studies found in the internet. I got scared of the others saying you should only take omeprazole if it outweighs the risks.

In reply to how long can you take it. I have been taking it for 12 years and it still works and no side effects. I produce more acid than normal and still get the acid gpoing into my lungs if I eat too late at night so 5 years ago my lung specialist changed the dose to one in the morning and two at night and it made a big difference.

I would recommend you waiting till your in your second trimester to start exercising cause the baby's so small and fragile any wrong move could cause your body to try to expel the baby but it is safe as long as your body is excepting it & your comfortable don't push yourself to hard or lift to heavy I'm 25 weeks & still work out like a champ every other day

I had this horrible pain or tightness on the top of stomach under the breast omg what is that gas? I called my doctor in emergency he said take gavascon and pepto spoon of each if does not go away he said go to hospital he will run test omg hv any of you ladies experienced this?

most ob/gyns advise the use of condoms as well as the b/c pills to help even more with the prevention of pregnancy.

You can sleep on right side as well . You can try doing it now though to get used to it . Later on in pregnancy if you wake up on your back just roll over baby is ok . He or she will most likely make you uncomfortable before anything bad happens your body will signal a response to you most likely . I had thos worry and sometimes I still wake up on my back just get used it your side sleeping now while its still comfortable for you .

Normally it is safe thru your whole pregnancy but it would be best to talk to your doctor since you did have spotting! Need to make sure the baby is ok.

Here it is January 2014 and I am pretty sure I have one of the possible side affects of taking omeprazole, severe itchy skin. Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Omeprozole is not a narcotic pain killer. It is a heartburn med that isn't much different than over the counter Prilosec. I've never heard of it being administered via I.V. Omeprazole does nothing except preventing heartburn.

If your main symptom is burping, I would try going off of the omeprazole and switching to gas-x or some other type of gas relief medicine. As long as you aren't having a lot of problems with heartburn or acid reflux, you would probably be fine to discontinue using the omeprazole. Otherwise, it is okay to keep using it until your symptoms are under control. Have you tried modifying your diet to cut back on symptoms?

Every woman and situation is different.. Most doctors recommend some form of moderate exercise during pregnancy(as long as there are no complications) and if you have been exercising regularly you should be fine. I would suggest doing light exercises and see how your body reacts. If you have any bleeding, cramping etc... I would stop. Congratulations.
