ambien

Avatar f tn If you have the same doctor prescribing the gabapentin and the ambien, the safety of mixing those two medications would be a question best asked of your doctor. And while 5HTP is more than likely not prescribed, a doctor should be able to address that as well.
Avatar f tn Hi, Sleepwalking or somnambulism is a sleep disorder where the sufferer engages in activities that are normally associated with wakefulness while he or she is asleep. It is more commonly experienced in people with high levels of stress, anxiety or psychological factors and in people with genetic factors, or sometimes a combination of both. It is often diagnosed by a polysomnogram, which provides assessment of sleep duration and quality.
Avatar f tn Under these circumstances where you do not have knowledge of his status I think it is better to err on the side of safety.
1102799 tn?1269237714 yes our friend took Lunesta and his wife found him a couple of nights walking in the house in the middle of the night, he had no memory of it and did not have this problem with Ambien. Ambien generally gave me a buzz when I took it at night, I would feel euphoric (but no sleepwalking) - I do not have this side effect with Ambien CR. I guess one needs to be careful with all of these sleeping pills!
739988 tn?1386672969 Along with the narcolepsy comes severe insomnia. On top of that, my body adapts to sleeping medications rapidly. In addition, I am on the last ditch Rx sleeping med that my team of three drs can come up with (general practioner, sleep specialist, psychiatrist). The med is Rimeron and I've been on it less than a week....it will be useless soon. Already I am having to boost its power with clonazepam (anti-anxiety) and non-drowsy cough medicine.
1932244 tn?1323292210 For this reason, you should be sure to consult with a high-risk pregnancy specialist or other experienced OB/GYN early in your next pregnancy and ideally before conception. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn It can cause some residual drowsiness or mental fog in the morning, but typically that goes away in a few hours. Of course, everyone reacts differently to medications, so the employee should be mindful of how they feel after taking the Ambien. There have been some pretty substantial reports of Ambien causing a person to sleepwalk and even do tasks in their sleep without their knowledge.
Avatar f tn I would recommend you waiting till your in your second trimester to start exercising cause the baby's so small and fragile any wrong move could cause your body to try to expel the baby but it is safe as long as your body is excepting it & your comfortable don't push yourself to hard or lift to heavy I'm 25 weeks & still work out like a champ every other day
Avatar n tn If you are taking ambien too constantly, then your brain simply cannot sleep without it. With it, it sleeps like normal brain without ambien, which means that it could be addiction.Try not taking it for a week and then take 10mgs and see what happen.
Avatar f tn t move to toss and turn or get up to pee cause of the pain. So instead of any kind of pain meds he gives me ambien. Anyone else taken this drug??
Avatar f tn I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby. Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep. No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.
Avatar f tn Well I USED to. Have not touched it in about a month. It was tough but I went ct off of Percs, oxy, ambien and Ativan. I have been off of everything except the perc's and Oxy for a month. Those I had to start over and am now at day 4. Ambien are addictive and have bad wd's. Just look them up.
Avatar f tn most ob/gyns advise the use of condoms as well as the b/c pills to help even more with the prevention of pregnancy.
Avatar n tn You can sleep on right side as well . You can try doing it now though to get used to it . Later on in pregnancy if you wake up on your back just roll over baby is ok . He or she will most likely make you uncomfortable before anything bad happens your body will signal a response to you most likely . I had thos worry and sometimes I still wake up on my back just get used it your side sleeping now while its still comfortable for you .
Avatar f tn I'm only about 5-6 weeks I'm on prescribed adderall 40mg daily and Ambien 10mg at bedtime. Has anyone been on these medications while being pregnant? I'm very concerned about my baby being affected. My doctors says it's ok to continue taking these medications......
Avatar f tn Normally it is safe thru your whole pregnancy but it would be best to talk to your doctor since you did have spotting! Need to make sure the baby is ok.
Avatar f tn I am in my 36th week of pregnancy. About a month and a half ago my IC pain became so severe that I had to be hospitalized. I was prescribed Lortab 5 for pain and told to take one or two every four to six hours (as needed for pain). When I followed up with the doctor later she instructed me to try not to take more than one every six hours. I usually have to end up taking two at 5 am., two at 1 pm., and then again around 7pm. So obviously I am over the reccomended limit on some days.
Avatar f tn In general, drugs such as Ultram (or tramadol) are not recommended during pregnancy or during breastfeeding because there is a lack of safety information. This does not mean that it will necessarily cause problems for the fetus or baby, but since the information is not known, it might. Animal studies have shown that the drug crosses to the developing fetus, but the danger to a developing human fetus is not known.
Avatar f tn Hi yall . I am an addict and an alcoholic . I was sober for ten years between 2004 and 2007. I have been in and out the last 10 years . I recently went to a new psych (an addictionogist ) and was told him straight out that I was an alcoholic and an addict . He prescribed Xanax , Klonipin ,Adderrall and Ambien . As an " out there " addict - I couldn't refuse to fill them . Of course I used them as any addict would - and ran out shortly of the Xanax and Adderral .
Avatar f tn Studies on melatonin show that while it isn't addictive, your body can get lazy in the natural production of melatonin and can thus make you dependant on it. No specific studies have been done on pregnancy because it's classified as a supplement and therefore the fda doesn't require the same safety studies but it is absolutely not recommended. Dr.
Avatar f tn no she is not pregnant.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever been given ambien during pregnancy? I just started on it last night to help me sleep. Anyone have any negative effects? Should i be worried about my babies?
12796163 tn?1436135189 They wouldn't prescribe you something unless they felt the benefits outweigh the risks. Maybe Ambien isn't safe earlier in pregnancy while certain systems are developing but becomes safer later on?
