Avatar f tn Is there a medication that would also work on the central nervous system to provide adequate relief from a tension migrane as does the butalbital that I could bring up for discussion with a doctor? My Spanish is not as good as it should be and my interpreter has no medical background, so some words are just beyond explaining. any advice would be much appreciated, as I have had a tension migrane for 5 days now. I have acess to Panama and Nicaragua as well as Costa Rica.
Avatar m tn Well I'm another worried idiot that did something he/she regrets. I was in Costa Rica at a big strip club (I'm New to that seen) and I'm worried about HIV. I had a condom break and didn't realize it until a position change (maybe 2-3 min. in) which then killed the moment of course.
Avatar m tn I have been living in Costa Rica for 2 months. My boyfriend and I are in a monogamous relationship and he recently came to see me. My past couple months here, I haven't been doing normal "up keep" on my vaginal area for many reasons. However the day he arrives, I decided to shave as I used to do normally. I didnt use a dull razor, or do anything any different than before. My boyfriend and I had vaginal and oral sex, not really do anything different than normal.
335728 tn?1331414412 However, last month, federal Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq cautioned Canadians against travelling abroad for the treatment in the wake of the death of Mahir Mostic, an Ontario man who underwent the procedure in Costa Rica and died after blood clots subsequently formed around the stent in his neck.
Avatar n tn I´m not in the US (Costa Rica) and the last post was exactly what the test said. except it was in spanish. What kind of test should i ask for?
6726276 tn?1421126668 Sounds like volunteering to do something like that might be a great idea to try, then, if it's possible in Costa Rica! Hope things start looking up for you.
Avatar m tn I was in costa rica and i of course purchased a sexworker. we went back to the hotel and she began to give me a ******* without a condom for a long time. i kept getting soft and couldnt not get fully up because my mind was distracted by the fact that she was a sex worker.

605595 tn?1233683332 Has anyone had plastic surgery in Costa Rica, particularly at the Rosenstock clinic? I'm anticipating having a facelift done soon and want a little more feedback from anyone. What should I watch out for after surgery -- any physicians able to answer that? Thanks!
Avatar m tn Hi, I am 18 years old and I just came back from Costa Rica about 5 days ago when I realized my breasts and back were extremely itchy. I went to take a shower later that day and i noticed small flat bright pink dots COVERING my boobs. Like I said, I just got back from Costa Rica so it was hard to notice the dots on my arms and lower abdomine bc i was so tan but believe me, I could feel them and it bright light I could also see them.
Avatar f tn I'm lined up for plastic surgery in Costa Rica in 2.5 weeks... just looked up info online re metracril. It sounds like it will never be approved in the US, so I'm not going to give it a try. Generally our FDA is pretty good regarding their research on new products. Where did you stay in Costa Rica, and who did your surgery, if you don't mind posting here? Thanks!
Avatar f tn he might have felt a constant underlying anxiety that came to a head after you got settled in Costa Rica. Anything else stressful going on in his life? Any family changes? Moves? Mucinex is a fairly benign medication, with serious side effects being pretty uncommon, although anything is possible. If I were to guess, I would say this is anxiety from another source, and the timing is just suspect for the Mucinex. Here is some info on Pediatric Mucinex.
Avatar n tn Now, the thing is I booked a trip a long time ago to Costa Rica and I am leaving on Monday. I am a bit worried about having complications there and not being able to get the care I have received here. My question is, if I were to get complications (vitreous detachment then retinal tear), how fast a do things evolve? Does anyone have any input or experience to share? I know that, if a tear were to occur, immediate care/laser is critical. Should I call off my trip? Am I worrying too much.
Avatar m tn Two months ago she told me she missed a periond (one week before I went to Costa Rica) i figured she was trying to stop me from going but this is the rest of the story! She and her son (really good Kid) moved in about a month ago. she has not had a period since I came back from Costa Rica, (missed 3 sofar) I wanted to know if she was pregnant so I got some EPT test, she took 3 of them (between one month and 1 1/2 months after missing her first period but said they were negative).
Avatar n tn Could I have gotten HEP C from a dentist in Costa RIca from a teeth cleaning?
4522800 tn?1470325834 Sounds good CRS..I have my Bags Packed..What time will you be picking me up???
490426 tn?1286262753 Thanks for your answer and for emphasizing! On the suicide factor, I've been in hospitals for severe depressions and attempting it (a few times). Here in Costa Rica I currently have no doctor, and like I said, I'm very concerned about the psychiatrists here - don't want to end up worse. Still, I am in the process of searching for somebody that can help. My doctors back in Israel (whre I was living before) perscribed 40 mg of Citalopram and 0.
Avatar n tn I recently developed severe stomach pains with cramps, diarrhea and what feels like acid indigestion that has lasted for almost a week. Everything I swallow with the exception of water, makes me hurt terribly. We were in Costa Rica when it started so my G.P. thinks it's either a parasite or a staff infection. I wondered if it could be from my chemo and radiation treatments.
Avatar m tn I started a dose of Doxiciclina (100 mg, 2 times a day for 7 days) in Costa Rica for it. It has been 1 day and I have not seen any change in symptoms, still have pus discharge, no real pain but discomfort, red end of the urinary tract on penis head. How long does it take before I see it subsiding? I don't want to go back to the doctor and complain that the drug is not working.
Avatar n tn If I turned out to have an STD anyway from this partner (who was a prostitute in Costa Rica), how long would it take before I had painful urinations or discharges from my penis? If I go to a regular doctor or urgent care facility, what kind of test can they run to see if I got an STD? i.e. can everything be done via blood/urine? I heard once that one of the test can be putting a cotton swab up your penis which doesn't sound pleasant. Thanks!
Avatar m tn thanks teak! I read it takes up to 3 months even if no testing is need it, in Costa Rica Doctor mention up to 6 months, why is that? I don't believe that is a safe practice of witting 6 months for a result.
429647 tn?1249753429 Kerry sending you positive vibes all the way from ooooops freezing Las Vegas.. usually I send it from sunny Costa Rica... but alas I am home for a couple of weeks...
9055982 tn?1414980421 i live in costa rica. here they dont let us take any over the counter medicines. the most they ever gave me was a pill they call aceptaminofen for pain and fever.
Avatar m tn Welcome to the forum. You don't describe the nature of the encounters, so I cannot comment on whether or not they were truly low risk. I don't know the HIV situation in commercial sex workers in Costa Rica, but my guess is that relatively few are infected. But test results ALWAYS outweigh symptoms and exposure history, if done sufficiently long after exposure.
Avatar n tn Many thanks. I know it is clearly not about the hair, but I think hair loss it one of the first tangible signs of the sickness, or road to recovery- because up this point, other than x-ray images, abdominal bloating and weight loss, we could not actually "see" she was sick- and that is how my mom is looking at it I think. I will look into the book tonight, great suggestion. I notice you're from Costa Rica. Vacationed down there a few years ago- Guanacaste region.
