1530342 tn?1405016490 Capping a 13-year effort by supporters of whistle-blower rights, the new law closes loopholes created by court rulings, which removed protections for federal whistle-blowers. One loophole specified that whistle-blowers were only protected when they were the first to report misconduct. Obama also signed legislation that protects U.S. airlines from having to pay into a European Union program to cut down on pollutants.
Avatar n tn My father ( 80yrs with Alzheimer's/mild Parkinson's symptoms) has been a relatively "low" does of the risperdal for some time now. The nursing staff claim that it keeps him from being agitated. It however, leaves him in a catatonic state. He cannot speak and he sits and nods off with his pupils like pinholes. They claim this is for his "safety" and that of the nursing staff.
1932244 tn?1323292210 Pregnancy loss due to cervical incompetence is a risk for the next pregnancy. For this reason, you should be sure to consult with a high-risk pregnancy specialist or other experienced OB/GYN early in your next pregnancy and ideally before conception. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn In Australia there is a site called kidsafe that rates all available car seats, prams, strollers, cots etc that are available. It rates everything from safety through to prices. Just wondering if perhaps the US has a similar site!
Avatar f tn My question is will it harm me in any way for staying on it? I dont want to cause any more problems for myself by staying on it but evidently I lack serotonin and the paxil replaces it. Any info that you might give me would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn This is a legitimate question for your cardiologist, who knows about your condition and level of fitness and can weigh the risks.
Avatar f tn Doggie is always safe, I'm not sure about the jumping jack though.
Avatar f tn They say that light exercise throughout your pregnancy is good for you..just dont over do it.
Avatar n tn I had thos worry and sometimes I still wake up on my back just get used it your side sleeping now while its still comfortable for you .
Avatar f tn me and my boyfriend (long distance) have both admitted to each other we're virgins. we've also discovered i'm the one with more experience. he's never gotten a ******** or a hand job, etc. i'm going over to visit him for a while in the summer, i've arranged to get on the birth control pill, and had mutliple talks with my mother and experienced friends about it's use in preventing pregnancies.
Avatar n tn You had no risk for HIV. HIV is only transmitted by having unprotected intercourse, and by sharing intravenous needles. You should discuss your concerns with your supervisors, because in this profession, you are going to get a lot of bodily fluids on you, and you're going to need to know what constitutes a risk for HIV and other infectious diseases.

Avatar f tn If a safety pin could prevent birth defects, doctors would be telling mothers to wear safety pins their whole pregnancy.
Avatar n tn t I ow I am pregnant as I was advice by my other managers and previous supervisors not to disclose that I formation just yet. I felt so nervous not mentioning this huge thing. Has anyone been in this predictament.
Avatar f tn No HR is there to help not to stir pots, the last company I worked for was completely horrible other managers all were gossipers. One called me a ***** in front of the DM and she didn't do anything except say "keep it professional" because I started crying..
Avatar f tn As a retired nurse who has been splashed with a great many unthinkable substances, your supervisors/superiors were correct that you had nothing to worry about.......but, in my humble opinion, they were unkind and unprofessional to laugh. You had a very legitimate concern and they blew a great teaching opportunity. Shame on them. (Hang in there.........
Avatar f tn I find working to be difficult. I say make sure to stay on your meds, keep in close contact with your support people, and be ready for bad days because they happen. I was an at home mom/ house wife for 5 years in the early 2000s. It was hard going back after that, but at that time I was not diagnosed and no treatment. I have held this job I'm in now for 2 years, which is the longest I've ever held a job.
Avatar f tn I got a playpen with a bassinet for when shes tiny, but have a crib for when shes a few months older. I did the playpen because I can take it on trips, and she can still use it when she gets older, I can have it in the living room or anywhere. A bassinet works for newborns for a short time, so in the long run I'd do a playpen with a bassinet option, don't have to get the big ol fancy ones either. I think I spent 60 on mine. And a crib that grows with your child is good as well.
Avatar f tn I think it is your preference. I will have my daughter in a sleeper for the first month at least. I want her right next to me. The crib is safe, but I will be more comfortable with the sleeper.
Avatar n tn I am a female with herpes 2 for 21years, am on meds. My male friend is SO scared when using a condom that he will not go into me very far for fear of getting it on the unprotected part of him. Obviously I do not have sex if I have leisons, which I have not had for a long time. Also what is his chance of getting it on his hands if he touches me there and he has no cuts or anything on his fingers? Are the chances the same for oral sex? I feel like a leper!
