Hiya everyone I know I havn't posted in a loooooooooong time but been so busy getting my house all cleaned :D So heres the problemo 1: We're moving to the third floor and We'll have a railed balcony. Not screened in. Around my neighborhood i see cats and such on the balconies and I wonder if i let my babies out will they try to jump/climb down? I thought of harnessing them up and tieing the leash to the slider door for safety but if they were to fall...they'd get hurt.

I hi live in a building with a shared balcony and when i was on my balcony barefoot, i looked down and saw an old condom wrapper!! and its not mine, im assuming one of my neighbors threw it out the window and it landed on my balcony. I am pregant and I am worried.. is this an hiv concern? what if it hit me in the face when it flew on to my balcony! discusting!

10mins later I go out again to get some Pepsi and when I come home I forgot I had the shoes in the balcony and threw the bottle to the balcony (my parents hate seeing me drinking caffeinated drinks), And it may have hit the shoes. I know this sounds extremely paranoid. But help me out here, my germophobic OCD is not helping me out at the moment.

PLEASE some one answer ASAP!!!!!!!! my 6week old Rottweiler fell off my balcony on to concrete platform when i was not looking. the balcony is 15foot high. not sure how she landed however i pressed her body all over and she did not cry so no part is broken, i gave her some sugar water and brought her back upstairs. she stood and walked about 20 feet pied and "had a dump" then walked back. now she dont want to walk she sits up on her two front legs but when trying to walk she cant.

After about 10 minutes, Cash walked down the balcony stairs very slowly. A few minutes later, he walked back up the stairs and waited for someone to open the door, Cash collapsed again, and seemed to have no energy. He then slowly walked down the stairs and layed down on the grass where he died at 3:40am. His leg was slowly twitching, and blood poured out of his mouth. When we checked in the morning there was some blood on the balcony. The guilt is killing us and are devastated.

Once again my neighbors in a nearby building have locked their cat out on their balcony. It was crying it's heart out, but now it's stopped. It's 7 degrees outside, cold enough to kill the cat or give it frost bite. We called our landlords, and as I'm writing this they just now let the cat back inside. I feel terrible, like next winter when I move the cat doesn't stand a chance.

thanks for being an advocate for this little kitten....I agree with calling animal control or some sort of rescue if you cannot catch this kitten yourself to take in....she sounds like she needs someone to help her out.....

Hi..m so sorry for being so late in replying. anyways...abt my daughter ... .thank god she is absolutely fine now...all her scares are gone...touch wood!! my suggestions for you on the base of my experience.... 1. Don't Panic.....jst don't at all....it will pass on with time. 2. Don't force ur child to go in wind or whatever she is getting scared of.. just let her be inside for few days...away from any kind of wind or air. 3. slowly ..

I would keep the kitties off the balcony for now. They are going to associate it with the big bad boy for a while, and they know he is still around. The sprays to use are ones for cleaning the smell of cat urine especially, and also there is a good anti-trauma product that puts "good smells" over "bad smells" that I think is called Feliway.

I know it sounds over board but I do it all the time for the safety of my children. I am trying to quit this time around because even though I have never had any health issues with my babies, I don't want to risk it or risk ny kids picking up the discussing habit. Good luck and just be honest with the facts with your mom and if she cares about the health of your baby She will do it with no problem.

Hi, My 2 and a half year daughter has started fearing wind (even the lightest wind) badly. She does not let me open the balcony doors and not even the pedestial fan. She gets panic if i switch on the fan or if i stand in the balcony. The last time i tried diverting her mind and took her to balcony, she was calm until a slight wind blew and my scarf blew slightly. She just ran inside crying and panicly asked me to get inside and close the doors.

So weekend over and off to work she goes, and off to the balcony I go because as I was laying in bed for 2 days I kept thinking the wind was gonna blow the pill bottle off the balcony and I would be saaaved. So I am standing on the balcony and I can see the bottle filled with delicious yellow pills on top of the roof next door. As soon as I saw that bottle it was OVER... I AM GETTING THAT BOTTLE AND I AM RELAPSING AND NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP ME!!..
