427258 tn?1266445242 I would definitely talk to your Doctor or Midwife before taking anything at all. I had a yeast infection very early on in pregnancy as well and my doctor prescribed a one dose treatment called Gynazole that worked quite effectively. It was expensive even with insurance but it worked really well for me. I would definitely call your doctor however before doing anything.
Avatar f tn I went to my doctor and she told me monistat was on the safe list and that I did indeed have a yeast infection!
Avatar f tn I've only had a yeast infection one time & it was during this pregnancy, monistat actually didn't help me & I had to go a week suffering from it waiting for the doctors results just to find out it was actually a yeast infection which is what he thought it was but they couldn't give me anything until the results, either way I got monistat 7 & it didn't help me, but everyone is different. I just used ice packs until I got a prescription.
Avatar f tn I suggest you go to the doctor and confirm if it's a yeast infection or not. If you treat yourself for yeast infection and have a bacterial vaginosis instead, you will only make it worse.
Avatar f tn Yes antibiotics always give me a yeast infection. I forgot to ask myself today I had a root canal and I'm on amoxicllin. Does anyone know if diflucan is safe to take during pregnancy? Creams haven't worked in a long time for me.

Avatar n tn Has anyone had a yeast infection before? I'm 35 weeks and I'm dealing with a yeast infection right now. I'm treating it with a cream that my doctor prescribed me, but I've been getting a pink discharge after I wipe myself, well everytime I put on the cream. Can it be the cream that's causing the pink discharge? Im so lost this is my first pregnancy and this is the first time that I've gotten a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn I have had a few yeast infections, but not yet during pregnancy. They are not a big deal, not dangerous to your baby, and you can get suppository medicine to make it go away, so try not to worry. Here is a link with some information about yeast infections during pregnancy, I hope it helps you feel better: http://www.babycenter.com/0_yeast-infections-during-pregnancy_485.
Avatar f tn My doctor subscribed that to me. For me, I get a yeast infection as a sign for pregnancy. And I was scared this pregnancy because I had a miscarriage before. But I took it at 5 weeks, and now I'm 35 weeks.
Avatar f tn Monistat or something similar is safe to take during pregnancy and if the baby is born vaginally while you have a yeast infection, he or she could end up with thrush in his mouth and that would be much trickier to get rid of. Unfortunately, yeast infections are just more likely to happen during pregnancy. I never had one in my life until I got pregnant and now I've had two! Both were diagnosed by my midwife and both times they told me to take the over the counter remedy.
Avatar f tn ) My doctor said I might have an yeast infection. Is it something to be worried about? What are the treatment options?

Avatar n tn Try the AtoZ yeast infection pills. I'm 5 weeks and they seem pretty safe for me.
