I don't know what songs he's singing but I like his songs too. This will be my first concert and I'm 19, its sad to say haha.

It's hard for me to pick an all time favorite. It depends on my mood and what things are on my mind at the time. High on my list is Enya - Athair Ar Neamh. It's sung in Irish Gaelic. The translation is beautiful. It makes a good song to play in the background. It's kind of sad, but the translation is beautiful. I use it when I'm writing. Often when I am writing I prefer music without lyrics, because then I can focus on the setting/character's dialogues, etc.

Sadly enough when i was severely depressed and at 30 painkillers a day and binge drinking (previous to getting help) I made a playlist of songs that i loved but made me feel sadder and wallow in the deep depression...the first song on the list was: Another morning stoner by "And you will know us by the trail of dead" Are you asleep, are you in a dream?

Hey all. I am trying to put together a little book of positive notes for my sad days. Do any of you have songs that help you get through the tough days or quotes? I just want something I can keep with me whenever things get tough. I really want to go home, or atleast go outside.

Any of you pregnant ladies ever cried your eyes out because you weren't able to do something by yourself because you can't lift or pull weights? I'm used to doing everything myself and I'm sitting here in my room and can't pull things out from under my bed cuz they're too heavy. and I'm crying like there is no tomorrow. It's ridiculous!

well had a fight with my bf but thats nothing new..but the weather gets me down and all i feel like doing is listening to sad songs and making myself cry...does any one else feel like this??? i do suffer with depression...but always more in the winter and rainy seasons..

While taking care of my dying mom for 2 years I never listened to music because to me music=happy and it was a very sad time in my life,after mom died dad got sick,I took care of him also for 2 years without music(not even in the car) he has also since passed, and I make sure I listen to some kind of music everyday,I believe it is a type of therapy weather it is heavy metal,country or classical music it works!!

I saw a suggestion on Pinterest to get the baby an email and start emailing songs, stories and pictures, along with a blog and keep doing this until its 18th birthday... Btw, Pinterst has great baby stiff ideas for decorating, seeing/crafts, etc... Great way to pass the time! :) Try music therapy (think ckassical), and what I REALLY suggest along with the others, is to read your bible. Start in the book of Psalms. You can go online and read it, too.

And with Ed McMahon yesterday, this has been a sad week. With all of the struggles people go through, at least we can be greatful we are still on this earth.

Me and my bd are lost as to how or if we should tell his family. He's punjabi (east indian) im black and his family & their culture disproves of dating outside the race and if they find out he is afraid they will cut off all family ties not to mention all the money they have from all of their businesses. So lost about this should we keep it a secret?

I'm a teenage boy, i'm 14. I think i'm depressed but i'm not sure. I stay up almost everynight, then at school i'm sometimes very tired or quite hyper. I feel very sad when i'm alone, i feel quite guilty but i don't know why. Lately this past week i've been listening to songs actually about depression on repeat over and over. I don't have feelings of hurting myself but i do feel worthless sometimes. I want to get help but i feel scared to do so.

I quit listening to Tori Amos because of it. I love her songs but I always end up in a really bad place. When I am in a bad place her songs come to mind. I listen to Christian Contemporary or Country. The lyrics you can sing along with and they usually don't make me cry. Some country songs can be pretty depressing too though so I have to watch.

I've become absolutly engrossed in music In my last 5 months clean. But it doesn't make me think of my pills. Some songs make me feel guilt of the things i had done,some caused grief in the things I've missed out on,some cause love because they remind me of my husband,some cause sadness because they remind me of someone I lost but didn't have the emotions at the time to grieve for them because I was high. The music makes me hate the pills more but never love them.

For quite a few months now I have had bad nights due to songs going over and over again in my head. It can be different songs every night. I have tried counting sheep (literally) flat on my back in batches of 50 but before I know it that tune is back in my head. I can get up to use the toilet and on way back to my bed the song is back in my head. It is really worrying me and upsetting me as I am having very little sleep.
