738075 tn?1330575844 Well, I got my 15 minutes of fame in a full page ad in April's issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine (pg 83). Kind of a cool thrill. Too bad I can't play for more than about 20 minutes at a time, or it would be the perfect vehicle to start touring and selling all those darn CDs gathering dust in my front room. I keep hoping my strength comes back. I asked a neuro about this issue, being 4 months out from my last flair, and was it permanent?
269143 tn?1310795352 OK - now you have me involved in reading your stuff - your lot will keep improving and your music will also grow - keep in mind what you are working for - walks are good - and so are women that can support guys like us thru this thing....best of luck!
Avatar f tn Music has played a huge roll in my recovery so far. I wrote and recorded my own songs for such a long time, but after the vics took over I lost interest. A song I listen to all the time is Never Too Late by 3 Days Grace. Different music style entirely, but it's written about the singer's battle with Oxy. It's very powerful. In fact, the entire album is about it. The name of the album is One-X. Very good album, but very heavy and dark rock/borderline metal.
884770 tn?1244472251 I though maybe it would be nice if all those who had music help them through the w/d period and after that maybe sharing songs with those of us who are in need of something, anything....may help. I'm working on a few that have got me to day two...Its a start, right?

Avatar m tn However, the presence of an acoustic neuroma could not be excluded if widening of the internal acoustic canal was absent. It was not certain whether contrast filling of the internal acoustic canal occurred at M-CTC in the four cases so examined. One case of intracanalicular neuroma was diagnosed by gas- CTC, which is the most sensitive and reliable technique for detecting and excluding small tumors.

674607 tn?1240017232 More along my lines. I like to listen to something depressing such as anything by Nick Drake or Syd Barrett and work those feelings out. Then having gotten over them I move on. I tend to listen to cheerier music when I am hypomanic. Its only recently after recovery from psychosis that I am aware of it but the music I listen to matches the affect I am in. As for Pink Floyd I know as a kid growing up, that half of the kids when they felt angry at the world listened to "The Wall".
266539 tn?1281402152 It depends on what type of music your into and what you dont like :)
2048234 tn?1330814100 Hey all. I am trying to put together a little book of positive notes for my sad days. Do any of you have songs that help you get through the tough days or quotes? I just want something I can keep with me whenever things get tough. I really want to go home, or atleast go outside.
Avatar m tn acoustic reflex is a reflex associated with the stapedial muscle, sounds in the right ear can cause contraction in the left which is called contralateral reflex. Abnormal adaptations of this reflex can cause pain. Acoustic neuroma is one cause of such pain" I don' t know what to think about this, i have fluttering + tinnitus in one of my ear with no pain but i don't know if i have to worry or not. Is that true that acoustic neuroma can cause such disorders(pain/flutter) ?
Avatar f tn Mine is down to front placenta. I had extra scan at 26 wks and have 2 more to booked along with extra indie appointments. If your unsure ring up midwife who will advise you or listen to baby heart beat for reassurance.
Avatar n tn I've had suspected labyrinthitis for nearly six weeks now. The symptoms have been pretty mild all the way along and at this point the dizziness has all but disappeared - yet the hearing in my right ear is still fairly muffled and I have mild tinnitus pretty much constantly now. My doctor has referred me to an ENT specialist and said they would probably do a scan for Menieres and something called an acoustic neuroma, which I'd never heard of.
Avatar f tn Yes I cried badly because my boyfriend was sleepy and didn't want to talk and it made him sad so he talked to me but I was still crying because he didn't want to talk to me in the beginning!
