Running foot outward

Common Questions and Answers about Running foot outward

foot

Avatar n tn ) ) my right foot was caught parallel to the fence, whereas I was running perpendicular into it. Ever since then, I have had a bad, achy pain in the right side of my knee on the joint line, especially when standing and I pick my foot up. The worst pain is when I rotate my toes outward with my knee bent. It occasionally hurts when decelerating, and definitely when going down stairs. I got an MRI today and am waiting the results, but does this sound like a tear?
Avatar m tn It bent his foot outward (toes going away from the middle of the body). His pain is in the rear, outer portion of the ankle, where the CFL ligament is. Doctor asked if we're sure if his ankle rolled outward, not inward. Yes, we're sure. Why would the pain be on the outside if his foot turned outside?
Avatar m tn X-Rays have shown that it is not broken, and physical exam has shown that it is not sprained. The pain is on the outward side of my right ankle. It is a sharp pain whenever I put weight on it, but it also hurts to try to lift my foot up off the floor. Often times it hurts when I am just sitting and not moving. I cannot bend my foot up or down, and have difficulty moving my toes. The Dr. suggested that it could be some type of nerve damage, but I am unsure of what the symptoms are.
Avatar m tn 4 1/2 years ago I suffered an injury while coaching soccer. My toes on the right foot got caught in a net during a swing of my leg causing them to point directly outward. Something in my knee gave. I was unable to walk for days, unable to do fully support my weight on that leg for months. Over the next several months I gradually got better, but began to experience a dull stiffness and pressure in my knee cap.
Avatar n tn ve had MS for 22 years and over the last 5 my right knee has locked up and my right foot turns outward. I also have foot drop in the leg. Will breaking the leg help with my knee problem and if not, do you suggest anything that may help. I am considering a stem cell procedure in Costa Rica after speaking with several patients who have had amazing results. You can respond by emailing me at the address I provided below. Thank you kindly.
402504 tn?1241996524 It is like my foot is turned outward at a 90 degree angle. I can force it to turn straight if I focus, but it is much less painful when it turns outward. I have been having a lot of leg pains and was wandering if this was my body just compensating anyway it can to reduce the pain, or if this is a change in how I walk? Any ideas?
338416 tn?1420045702 s quite foot drop yet, but I certainly have to *think* about lifting my foot up. They make a foot brace that would hold my foot up, but it's plastic and clunky. I don't think I would have started running again if it wasn't for the weight. I get so frustrated, because I'm really trying to restrict my calories, and it doesn't do a bit of good. Working out on the trainer was exercise, but it just wasn't enough. I'm starting to wonder if I have a thyroid problem.
Avatar m tn i was going to hit a long shot(not punch) bt accidentaly i hit my leg on the groung with no contact with the ball. my foot got bent outward. i thought it might be a minor pain and so i waited for 2 months. but it did not heal. inspite of that i did not go to the doctor because i got a zonal tournament on october. i played the tournament with the injury but it was my luck that i did not get more injured.but still i couldnt hit shots but jst run with the ball and pass.
Avatar f tn Babinksi in normal people means when he stroked the side of your foot with something like a pen, your foot did not turn down as if to grab it, it probably "flayed" outward and upward. Both of my feet do that, turn out and up. No need to be afraid yet. MS doesn't move rapidly usually at onset. The MRI will tell your neuro a lot. He probably is also running blood tests?? to rule out the other mimic diseases that cause symptoms similar to MS.
Avatar n tn I am suffering from extreme leg and foot cramps at night. A year ago I had back surgery (Laminotomy (Hemilaminectomy), Decompression of Nerve Roots, Partial Facectotomy, Foraminotomy And/or Disc Removal, Lumbar Notes: Minimal access, left sided L5-S1 hemilaminotomy, mesial facetectomy, foraminotomy and microdiskectomy ) copied from my records. For the past couple of months I have been having similar symptoms to the ones prior to surgery.

Avatar f tn Now his left foot seems to be showing the extra stress. He has pain on and off in that foot/ankle and the little toe seems to be turning outward. He has to go for a functional capacity test next week (work injury-workers comp). Any suggestions?
18870592 tn?1469110523 Same feeling in the morning when I first wake up and the blood rushes to my foot. Foot and ankle appear to operate fine, but when I try to rotate my foot out outward (more so when up or down), its almost like stretching a cut or scabbed up flesh. Tendinitis, tear, thoughts? Thanks.
Avatar n tn My wife noticed the bone structure where my foot and ankle meet is larger than my left foot. Podiatrist feels ankle pain is attributed to compensation from the pain of the Plantar Fasciitis. I wear prescribed orthotics. The pain in the ankle area is horrendous when I'm working. With burning and sharp pain waves. I've tried forcibly walking with my foot straight, and my foot and leg feel as though I'm trying walk pigeon toed and the pain increases.
5176007 tn?1371145679 From the ultrasound I had, I knew which was a foot and which was a hand, my little one likes to shove outward on my stomach right after she kicks me. lol I'm only 25 weeks though..
Avatar n tn Is there anyone else who is having this problem. For the last week my right foot has been in so much pain and so swollen that my tips of my toes are curling upward. The pain seems to be in my heel only on my right foot though. Feels as if it is bruised. When walking it swells so much that I have to sit down and rest because I can't take the pain in it anymore. Also the back of my left calf feels like I have a constant Charlie horse in it.

233622 tn?1279334905 When they doctor checked my feet my left toes curled down, my right toes flared outward while my big toe pretty much stayed still. Any idea if that is a Babinski? I was not comfortable asking this particular doctor. He is nice but not the one I usually see. He is the director of the MS clinic. He felt I have had a relapse and is trying to figure out if it is from stress or progression. Any idea on the reflex?
Avatar m tn I still suffer from the same problem, a pain kind of on top of my foot where the foot meets my shin, but feels like its in the joint. Only hurst for 10 seconds or so first thing in the morning when I put weight on it. Don't want to see a orthopedic doctor if I don't absolutely have to as it will be quite expensive.
Avatar n tn I like to stay active so I try to go walking and running in town. Halfway back from my walk it hurt unbelievably bad. My hips would not stop popping. I noticed that if I even push down on my hips it feels extremely painful. This only happens when I walk, run, or even ride horse. I don't have any clue of whats causing it and can't decide if I need to go to the doctor for it. Please help!
Avatar m tn Several years ago, when she was 4 or 5 a painful spot developed on the outside of her left ankle, located in the soft spot just forward of the bony ankle bone bump. The only outward evidence of any abnormality is a small soft bump, about the size of a penny. She calls it her "foot spot". Any touch to the spot, even light pressure, causes her intense pain.
Avatar f tn if you wear a shoe that has little height in the toebox, the toenails get bruised when you walk and bleed. the blood dries and has to grow outward with the nail. the nail grows 1 mm/month. it usually only happens to the big toes b/c they are the thickest and get rubbed more readily in these type of shoes. clogs can do this too...even though they are roomy in the toe box. the toes extend and brush up against the top of the shoe when you swing your feet during the walking gait cycle.
Avatar f tn Naturally, I wanted to see if it was true and my son had his back turned outward against my belly so I started rubbing his back and all of the sudden he rolls around and sticks his foot out so far i cpuld even see all his toes and lets me cup it and move it around, its cooler even in person lol. And when I would stop he would push out even harder until I would do it again lol.
Avatar f tn ) and i do intervals of walking and running, more walking than running usually. a few days ago my left heel started getting very sore during my run and when i got home it was a sizeable water blister, probably from the friction of my sneaker, even tho i was wearing socks. i safely popped the blister with a sterile needle, drained it as much as possible and put a blister treatment pad over it and medical tape.
Avatar f tn All that I have now is disarthria and a turning outward right foot which is correctable with an ankle w/arch supports brace. But thanks for your response. I am waiting for dementia etc..... I am 63, otherwise in good health....
Avatar f tn I have been out of work since Wednesday for a foot injury and my job is hesitant on letting me come back concerned for my safety since i am 8 months pregnant. I'm getting nervous bc i have bills and I'm not sure how I'm going to maintain. Any suggestions?
