foot

Avatar n tn It clicks everytime I land on my feet. When running it clicks when my left foot hits the ground and clicks when the right foot hits the ground. Other than that it doesn't.
Avatar f tn It is literally just localized to that one are and it is not my whole ankle or foot. When I walk on just the upper part of my foot there is no pain as well as sitting and twisting my foot around there is no pain. As I stay off of it it does not get worse and it actually felt a little better this Thursday morning. Although the pain increases on it as I use it more. I am very concerned and I am running a half marathon this coming Sunday.
338416 tn?1420045702 s quite foot drop yet, but I certainly have to *think* about lifting my foot up. They make a foot brace that would hold my foot up, but it's plastic and clunky. I don't think I would have started running again if it wasn't for the weight. I get so frustrated, because I'm really trying to restrict my calories, and it doesn't do a bit of good. Working out on the trainer was exercise, but it just wasn't enough. I'm starting to wonder if I have a thyroid problem.
Avatar m tn I have a strange intermittent and recurring pain in the front right part of my foot ie directly under the toe. When the pain starts I can feel a muscle propping up in the same area.Pain becomes excruciating if I try to run(only when I use the front part of the foot and don't land on my heels).I have to appear for a physical exam for admittance in the army in January. Please help!!!
Avatar f tn You probably over stride and land hard on your heels. Try shortening your stride so your foot strikes a more of a glancing blow beneath your hips. Decreasing foot contact time with the ground makes you feel lighter on your feet and a smoother runner. Quicker leg turnover is necessary to compensate for your new, shorter stride length. Good runners take about 180 steps per minute, or 90 in 30 seconds. Count your number of strides for 30 seconds and try to hit 90 consistently.
Avatar f tn I am in limbo land, and for the last 30 hrs my small toes on my left feet have been curling under my foot when I walk, tis very weird, anyone else had this sort of thing happen...
Avatar m tn Three and a half weeks ago I was in a skateboarding incident were I land on my board sideways from six foot up. I sprained both ankles and severely bruised my right foot. After all was healed there is still a bump in front of my heel in the arch of my foot where I landed and it hurts to stand on for periods of time and to put little pressure on. What is it? Why is it still there? Will it ever go away so I don't have to worry about pain every Tim I land slightly wrong?
148588 tn?1465778809 But these pumping rates are excessive and unsustainable. Wells are running dry. In some areas of the Central Valley, the land is sinking by one foot or more per year.” ....... .....the North American food supply will also suffer a devastating blow because the state’s agricultural production zone is smack dab in the middle of the drought’s most severely hit area.
Avatar f tn When I lift my left foot to walk, my knee jerks and then I place my foot on ground, usually I land on forefoot. There is swelling on medial side of knee as well. and lots of stiffness. My ROM is good, Extension 0 and Flexion 133. I had uncemented TKR, and latest Xray showed bone has not fused with prosthesis yet. Can someone help me. Thanks.
11183374 tn?1416514458 We got a trailer and were going to put it on his parents land in the next couple weeks. Avatar m tn 4 1/2 years ago I suffered an injury while coaching soccer. My toes on the right foot got caught in a net during a swing of my leg causing them to point directly outward. Something in my knee gave. I was unable to walk for days, unable to do fully support my weight on that leg for months. Over the next several months I gradually got better, but began to experience a dull stiffness and pressure in my knee cap.
Avatar f tn I just accept all problems now as part of my back history. However, only my left leg/foot were affected. Right leg/foot are fine. - Significant decline in “sensitivity” in my feet. Both feet, not just the left that was affected by the L5/S1 disk. Episode of darkness in parking lot. It was dark and had been raining, when I noticed that I couldn't feel my feet or see the pavement and had no idea how I was standing up or how to walk.
649848 tn?1534633700 We started out slowly, not going very far because of my foot and having to wear the ankle brace but my foot seems to be getting stronger, so I decided it was time to strike out and try the sidewalks uptown again. We've done that 2 days in a row. I have to rest for a while to let my feet recuperate (mostly from my neuropathy) after a walk uptown (even though it's not very far), but it's a nice change of scene.

1413587 tn?1289659823 I had been trying to convince myself that the 2nd MRI I had on Tuesday would bring about a true diagnosis, but alas, I'll have to wait! My MRI remained unchanged from before. On my MRI the impression once again states "white matter lesions consistent with multiple sclerosis" and my neuro is having me come in in January for the next follow-up visit. Nevertheless, each day I feel like I have some type of irritating symptom(s).
Avatar m tn Hello! A month ago,I was kicked in my right shin while playing football/soccer.There was sharp immediate pain which dissipated into regular constant pain in about 10-30 minutes, there was no discoloration of my shin nor any bleeding or punctures but there was pain when I walked or extorted pressure on the foot .I elevated and compressed my shin for the next week and the pain was reduced further,it continued healing for 3 weeks until the pain was gone, for those days,I mostly laid on my bed.
Avatar m tn I still suffer from the same problem, a pain kind of on top of my foot where the foot meets my shin, but feels like its in the joint. Only hurst for 10 seconds or so first thing in the morning when I put weight on it. Don't want to see a orthopedic doctor if I don't absolutely have to as it will be quite expensive.
Avatar n tn I jumped off of a bridge at 16 weeks and my son is just fine.
Avatar n tn I like to stay active so I try to go walking and running in town. Halfway back from my walk it hurt unbelievably bad. My hips would not stop popping. I noticed that if I even push down on my hips it feels extremely painful. This only happens when I walk, run, or even ride horse. I don't have any clue of whats causing it and can't decide if I need to go to the doctor for it. Please help!
Avatar f tn ) and i do intervals of walking and running, more walking than running usually. a few days ago my left heel started getting very sore during my run and when i got home it was a sizeable water blister, probably from the friction of my sneaker, even tho i was wearing socks. i safely popped the blister with a sterile needle, drained it as much as possible and put a blister treatment pad over it and medical tape.
Avatar f tn I have been out of work since Wednesday for a foot injury and my job is hesitant on letting me come back concerned for my safety since i am 8 months pregnant. I'm getting nervous bc i have bills and I'm not sure how I'm going to maintain. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I rolled my left foot in a hole while running in July '09. I have had pain in the left side of my foot in the heel area. I can apply pressure massaging the heel area and feel a sharp pain. I had mornings where my first step out of bed was agonizing pain. The more I walked the more it hurt. I have used ice/heat/ibuprofen and nothing has helped. I started wearing my running shoe to bed on my left foot. I believe it has kept my foot straight at night and allows for healing.
Avatar n tn *Also recently when i run and i pick up my lefft foot it will shake uncotrollably and ver violently.
Avatar n tn m really worried I was late on getting my young son from school so I ran and felt a prick on the bottom of my foot. I forgot kinda about it and took a shower when I got out I looked at it and did see a small red dot that looked like a poke on the same foot I felt the poke. I decided go back and check were I felt the poke on the sidewalk 3 hours later. I could not find a needle but I did find a disposable glove In that spot I though was strange.
Avatar f tn Good posture puts less stress and impact on the joints, which reduces injury risk and increases efficiency, meaning you can run longer with less exertion. While running, keep your chest up and your shoulders down. Your feet should land underneath your hips, positioning your body in a straight line from your head to your toes. Avoid leaning forward from the waist, which can tax the lower back. Keep your hand unclenched to prevent unnecessary tension.
296076 tn?1371334474 As the 11th generation Tuttle man to farm this now 134-acre plot of land in New Hampshire, Will Tuttle says he has no regrets. "I'm not a museum curator, I'm a farmer," Tuttle says. He's tall, lean and tanned from head to toe, apart from his red cheeks and white beard. Shaking his head underneath the beating sun, he adds, "I wasn't the first one. I may be the last one. You can't live anybody else's dream, and 57 years is enough.
