Rsv virus replication

Common Questions and Answers about Rsv virus replication

rsv

Avatar m tn To date, only a limited number of studies have reported finding an influence of ordinary nutrients on hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA replication. However, the effects of other nutrients on HCV RNA replication remain largely unknown. Here, using this OR6 assay system, we comprehensively examined 46 nutrients from four nutrient groups: vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids, and salts.
Avatar f tn My 11 week has rsv .. He was full term .. Has any other mother had this in a infant ..
593530 tn?1263847957 I brought Brody to his pediatrician last week because he was very congested. After a nose swab was tested it was determined that he has RSV. Since it's a virus it can't be treated with antibiotics, so she instructed me to get a cool mist humidifier and keep his nasal pasages clear by using saline solution. The only symptom he's had is the congestion. There's no fever, coughing, mucous coming out, etc.
Avatar n tn My son is going to be 2 months old soon and a couple of days after he was born they told me he has RSV, i have been in and out of the hospital so many times and he dose not seem to be getting any better. I have read everybody stories and How they lost their loved ones and i am so scared that it might happen to my son. Please is there anything that i can do to prevent this from getting worse???
Avatar m tn RSV ( Respiratory synctial virus) is an antibody test that detects antibodies against RSV virus thats related to a respiratory infection. Lets wait till other experts comment on your query.
Avatar f tn Finally a few days ago i took him in again to the ER n they found out he has a virus newborns have been getting its Called Rsv n if they would have tested it before they would have found it i was So pissed!!! So now today we got out of the childerns hospital they sent him home with oxygen but to me he still seems bad but they that he was Fine!!
Avatar f tn s immune systems may be doing a great job----perhaps too good in terms of provoking a viral response--and the virus may be responding to this immune pressure by stepping up replication. When immune pressure subsides viral replication rates can come down-- a paradox. There are some theories as to the exact nature behind this process, the most plausible one to me being the propensity of all things to attempt to achieve balance.
Avatar f tn cid=153 with hbeag pos he has a lot of virus replication but hbvdna is needed to confirm of much, if he is cronic hbe pos it is difficult he can control it, virus cannot be eradicated but choice of correct drugs can lower replication and so alt disease virus quantity can t be exactly measured (hbv is complicated and made of various parts plus virions) you can only measure its replication
Avatar f tn my baby has RSV. I felt sick a little before we found out she had it and then a cople days later I got a cold do you think that could be it? and thank you.
Avatar f tn This could be asthma and it could be related to the respiratory syntactical virus (RSV). However, you or your son’s doctors should not assume that asthma or cough-variant asthma is the diagnosis. Other causes of nocturnal cough should be investigated including, but not limited to, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), chronic rhinitis and sinusitis and cystic fibrosis (CF). He may need to be seen by a pediatric pulmonologist.
Avatar f tn However, though the exhausted cells seem to lose the function of getting rid of the virus, scientists found that they still contain viral replication in chronic infections to keep the amount of virus at a low level. Scientists discovered that a subset of exhausted CD8+ T cells expressing the chemokine receptor CXCR5 plays a critical role in the control of viral replication in mice that were chronically infected with lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus.
Avatar n tn The antiviral treatments only help to suppress the replication of the virus, but do not cure the disease. Once you stop taking medicine, the virus replication rebounces, in most cases much stronger that could damage your liver. If, in any case, you decide to stop treatment, then it must be done under strict monitoring to see if there is any rebouncing of the viral replication.
Avatar f tn PS: DAAs interfere with replication of the virus. They do not ramp up the immune system like Interferon does.
Avatar n tn For instance juvenile diabetes is thought to be triggered by a virus - the child was already set up to be vulnerable to developing it, they catch a viral illness and a few weeks later their pancreas starts to stop working and they develop signs of diabetes. Same goes with rsv, a very common respiratory virus that in infants and the elderly ( or immunosuppressed ) can cause them to be very ill.

Avatar m tn 10miu/ml you can stop after 6 months but this happens on 3% hbe neg and 5% hbe pos the drug is to avoid cirrhosis and liver cancer due to virus replication so it is a life treatment, maybe hbsag will get very low in 10-15 years but nobody has used it more than 6years because drug is new
Avatar f tn Have you been to the doctor? RSV is quite prevalent this year. And cough that is a bit relentless is a symptom. Also, unfortunately, once our respiratory tract gets irritated, coughs can linger for quite a while after a virus has dissipated. Do you have a fever? I'd see a doctor for a cough that goes on for three weeks. I'm sure you are exhausted. Sleeping with a cough is tough.
Avatar n tn you have to consider one thing is liver damage by replication of the virus and another is the virus, tenofovir (viread, tenvir) and entecavir (baraclude) make replication of the virus so low that there is no liver damage but the virus is still there.
Avatar m tn positive, Does it mean I am still in an inactive replication phase? Am i infectious now?
