Hello! Which sleeping pill is stronger, Belsomra or Rozerem? I take 2 tablets of Belsomra at night for 20 mg plus 2 tablets of Donormil. Should I try Rozerem?
Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours.
I know I just need some sleep!

One good option you could ask your psychiatrist about is the medication Rozerem which works to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. There are other options as well but that's one worth asking about. Also it might be a simple matter of timing. If a medication keeps you awake at night you could ask your psychiatrist if you could take it earlier in the day and see if that helps. Discuss all this with them and see what they say.
It appears to be similar in efficacy and like Ambien is meant for short term use only. Unless you've tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. There are safer sleeping medications such as Lunesta and Rozerem. My concern about Trazadone is the fact that it can cause tardive dyskinesia. If you are not taking it for depression but as a sleep aid you might want to ask your psychiatrist about the two I mentioned.
