ROXIES is a slang name for Roxicet. Roxicet is the generic name for Percocet. (oxycodone + tylonol.) Very potent, highly addictive but very effective schedule 2 narcotic. Illegal to have without a prescription. As to why it is being snorted, snorting is a way addicts use certain drugs as a quicker way to achieve a high than ingesting. Opiates give a feeling of greatness and euphoria that nothing can explain. The reason people pay so much for them is in short one of the more potent pain killers.

I am currently snorting 8 30mg's of Roxicet per day. I also take about 9 10/650 loricet mixed in. I want to quit and don't want to do Suboxone again. I have a supplier and access to him so I can go as slow as needed. Please provide a taper schedule that will allow me to work through it. No one knows about addiction and can't go to clinic or through serious withdrawals. Is that even possible? In the meantime I have started to try to take 1/2 roxicet and swallow other half.

I take roxicet 30 mg 3 to 4 times a day...for bout 2 weeks now...b4 that i took 3 percocets 5mg 3 times a day...I flushed everything I had down the toilet...bout 50 roxies....I quit cold turkey...I already have the runny nose...I have 4mg dilaudeds..but only plan on takin 1 of those maybe once a day..for about 7 days...will this help...or am i in for a rude awakening???? Also...I noticed long after the withdrawls are gone..I have an extreme lack of energy and motivation...

I have degen disc's and my spine is really hurt from genes and car accidents, I am 29 and my doctors have me on Avinza 90 2xday and 15mg roxicet 6xday .. I always run out early and I am buying the 10/325's from friends and snorting all the drugs. My plan is to stop snorting the drugs and get back to takin the drugs. I have reached a point where I must let my 29 yr old son go; I can do nothing to stop his self-destructiveness & any attempts on my part are met w/ near-violent hostility, denials, excuses, and placement of blame on everything & everyone except himself. So I have been on oxycodone and roxicet ( not at the same time, the dr will write it for one or the other) Both meds are 5-325 strength. It seems like everytime I get a script for the roxicet I end up getting very sick to my stomach and vomiting. I am taking the medication as prescribed. I've been on doctor prescribed Roxicet (5/325) for the last 4 years due to neck and shoulder pain. I had gotten to the point where I was taking 2 pills every 4-6 hours. We have been dating for two years now. Before this onset, I was aware that my boyfriend was snorting Roxicet for recreational drug-use, "Blues" we call them. He always told me when he was on them or doing them, and I never really cared, I would be a hypocrite if I did. I have been taking Roxicet for 7 years and need to come off now for work. I take about 5 a day and found that i cant ween with roxicets. I want to ween with suboxones so i picked up ten of them. i have been tapering off norco, slowly for family reasons, and ran out before the taper was complete. i have 4 roxicet given to me, and want to know how small to break them up to equal 1/4 norco. i need to do this to get through the weekend as i need to drive in the city and cznnot have any more nights of zero sleep. i know driving in the city is nothing to a lot of you, but i am a country girl, and need my wits about me.

Secondly, telling a doctor that you have an opiate addiction does not mean you won't be treated for pain. If the doctor is a good doctor, then it just means that they are more cautious with treating your pain. That's why addictionologists are great alternatives for us addicts.

my boyfriend of 2 years just told me 2 days ago that he has been addicted to roxicet for the passed 3 years. He says he wants to stop because he knows all the consequences and he doesnt want to live like that anymore. He does, however think that he can kick this addiction without seeking professional help...can he? he also smokes marijuana because he says it helps calm him down during withdrawal; should he stop smoking too?

I've had 2 major surgeries in 2 months and have been given roxicet by my doctor. I am no longer in pain and have stopped the pain meds. I now feel constantly nauseous, hot and then cold and would like to know how long this terrible feeling will last.

I'm on day 4 of a Roxicet taper and having a terrible time sleeping. I just can't lie still in the bed. My doctor had prescribed me Soma for muscle spasm which I had been taking 1 each night before bedtime. Its a great relaxant but I cut them out too (completely) when I started tapering off the Roxicet. Would it be ok to take one at bedtime to help with the sleeplessness or am I backsliding? You need to speak to your doctor and get yourself off of these, immediately. How far along are you? It can also cause breathing problems in newborns, as well as withdrawal symptoms.

i think my boyfriend has become an addict and i believe he is snorting the pain killers or maybe the antidepressants he is on. what are some things to look for. he is always broke, super emotional and takes vicodin for knee pain, clonapin for whatever and lexapro, vistiril. I am thinking of leaving we have a two year old and i want to know if what i believe is true i need to know if my sone is safe.

I'm so afraid that you can catch HIV from sharing snorting gear. I did it twice with people and I'm scared to death. There is not a lot of info about it on the internet. I called the CDC and they said that it was low risk. Does anybody have an opinion? Should I keep getting tested?

s for family reasons. i ran out of the norco too soon. was given some roxicet. i know it is stronger than the norco, and want to know how small to chop the pills to get the same as 1/4 norco. i only have 4 pills, so this has to be it. please help me.

Hubby & I both have been addicted to the 30 mg roxicet, snorting them, 1-3 a day, him for the last year and a half, me for the last 7 months. He was prescribed them for severe pain but it wasn't long before we both were abusing them. Today is the 2nd day no roxis, or oxys. We have each been taking a small perc in the morning and a .5 mg xanax for the anxiety. What is the worst of this? How long is this going to last? Even having the small dosage of percocet we still feel awful.
