My son is 2 months and just received his first shots yesterday including the rotavirus vaccine. I noticed that after his shots and today he has been pooping yellow colored like normal but it is very chunky. He is exclusively breast fed and always has a little bit of a seedy stool but this is very chunky. I'm Just curious if anyone knows if this is normal or not. Could it be from the rotavirus vaccine because they do ingest it. Thanks.

I have a 22month old client with a trach and g-tube and she had rotavirus, this was like 2 weeks ago, causes diarrhea, i didnt go in to work while she had bcuz i didnt want to get anything on me and give it to Trinity. But ever since she has been in daycare she always get sick, now she has given her cold to me and LaDell, we both started taking vitamin c to hopefully prevent us from getting sick.

He should see a Dr. Also, make sure he is staying well hydrated. Food is less important then fluids. Juices, pedialight, even milk. Dehydration is always the biggest concern. Is he energetic or listless? That too can tell you alot. If he is listless and weak, then he should be seen right away.

So if you have a type that is viral such as one caused by norovirus or rotavirus you could have a contagious type or a bacterial one like Clostridium difficile, Salmonella or Shigella pr Ecoli that has a toxin (not all strains have it). So you need to find out which one by having the doctor do some lab tests or telling you which one you have. The main thing is washing your hands well after using the toilet.

she had rotavirus from birth but that is sorting it self out and has been putting on weight steadly so we are sort of hoping that the sweat test will come back negative do i have a glimmer of hope for a misdiagnoses?

It seems that Seattle does not have any support groups in the area? How do people cope when they find out they are positive for HSV 1 or 2? I was diagnosed over 3 years ago through a blood test IGg. I have pretty much isolated myself from going out, meeting anyone and I have no one to talk to at all. I got blood tested after going online and requesting the STD test through quest diagnostics laboratory. My results ccame back positive for both HSV 1 and 2.

To me, there are two types of groups, 1) Support and 2) Self Help. Support Groups are places to go and feel safe. Lead by others with medical conditions like ours, opinions are shared by all, and comfort is widely given while tears flow. The discussions are personal and individualized making this the place to be when your chin is on the ground. Self-Help groups relieve a different pain. In this setting professionals teach you the steps necessary to better yourself and your position.

I have shied away from going to support groups for various reasons but am beginning to think now maybe one would be helpful. Thoughts? I feel like I am losing ground daily not only physically but also emotionally. I have applied for social security disability (something I said I would NEVER do) because my physician refuses to release me to go back to work. I just feel that I can no longer be the "strong" one.

Besides the MS society chapter in Nashville, I would encourage you to attend any of the free programs (usually sponsored by a big pharma company like Teva) that you can find in your area. Talk with the people at your table and ask what groups they might attend. I have found three different groups through this method. It is universal that MS patients everywhere like to share... :-) Contact your drug mfg or look on their website.

The Northern Ireland Association for Mental health most probably run groups in Belfast and i beleive they ran groups jointly with the local community mental health teams as well. Mind is another grouping which i'm sure has some groups in Belfast which maybe helpful. Rethink I'm not sure about.

It's been 2 weeks now that I notice red spots in form of groups in the part of my real breast not the reconstructed part all the way to my shoulder and the bottom of my neck. I had a mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction on july 13 2009 , followed by 8 rounds of chemo and 37 radio ended on march 23rd 2010. Can this be a recurrence? so soon?
