Most of the time they tell you to take it at night before bedtime for restless leg syndrome but since I have the same problem you do I was told 2x daily. The only side effect I have noticed is nausea but that hasn't happened in a while, though it was a problem when I 1st started it ( I took a dramamine about 3omin before & that helped too). Hi, Not sure about everyone else but I know that for me the restless legs is one of the worst symptoms. I told my doctor that I was struggling and he prescribed me Ropinirole tablets, one to take before bedtime. I took one last night and, fingers crossed, it seemed to work. Most of you are probably aware of this but for those who aren't, it might be worth a try.

I have suffered from a form of restless leg for over 20 years, when my brain wants to relax especially at bed time, my leg muscles in top & bottom start to go into spasm, causing my legs to kick out. Its so sever that if prevents me from falling asleep. I am on tablets called Ropinerol they work to a point but the older I get the worse the spasms get.

I am a 39 year old male that has suffered for years with restless legs, leg/joint pain, both of which have caused many sleepless nights. The pain is more noticeable during weather changes (doesn't matter if its warm to cold or cold to warm). My legs twitch almost constantly and is very noticeable especially when sleeping, I have been told i have had my legs have spasmed to my chest. I have also had multiple arthroscopic knee surgeries due to a parachuting accident when i was younger.

Does anyone have restless leg syndrome and if so what do doctors recommend to take so you can sleep? No matter what position I am in it hurts which it makes it hard for me to sleep I am so tired so any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you ask your neuro if the freezing feeling comes from your medication. Maybe even look into restless leg syndrome..(RLS). ...I was dx with RLS after feeling like my legs had a mind of their own....ropinirole 2x a day.

been on 100mgs over a year now.. 50 mgs 2x a day..i use it for my restless leg syndrome..i was prescribed a new one ( ropinirole) I need to stop this tram. can I cold turkey it or a taper? I wouldn't see how I could taper it, its only 50 mgs tabs.. have you experienced this? thanks!!

I told my doctor and he prescribed it for me and it works wonders! I take it about 2-3 hours before I go to bed. I have restless leg real bad. I used to control it with a glass ofmilk and a banana every night but it progressed beyond that. Try it!

I've been dealing with a form of dysautonomia since 2006, with symptoms that are ringing in the ears, Raynaud's, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea, a sensation of choking at times,but most troubling a sensation of being drunk/ dizzy...I have had high blood pressure in the past which resolved on its own. I read that Hypothyroid disease can cause Restless Leg Syndrome. Since I already have RLS, will I have to look forward to an increase in the severity of my RLS??? I am very worried. I take Requip (ropinirole) for RLS but it is not a total relief of it. RLS is hell as you dread going to bed, you dread movies, you dread airplanes as you know that your legs will instantly start to ache and you will have the compulsion to constantly move them to relieve the discomfort.

I have severe Restless leg Syndrome. I have been on Mirapex for about 6 years now, and never had a problem. I am unemployed now, and do not have any health insurance. My doctor has been great to give me samples, however; they are out of them right now. My doctor tried giving me clonazepam 1 mg 2 nights ago, I walked the floors and tossed and turned all night. I called my doctor, and she said to increase my clonazepam to 2mg before bed.

Besides Mirapex, the other medications that are approved to treat Restless Legs Syndrome are Neurontin, Requip and Neupro. I recommend speaking to your doctor about these medications to see if one may be appropriate for you.

This is causing him more problems along with what else they are giving him in the hospital. Better to have restless leg symdrome and not have to halucinate because of the Requip.

ve also read there is an over the counter medicine, Restless leg at Walmart. Hot baths with Epsom salts. Mine were so bad last time, I bought white medical tape & am going to try taping my legs up tight. This time I'm going off pain pills gradually,so maybe the restless legs won't be as bad. Thats called restless leg syndrome. Requip is the medicine for that or the generic is ropinerole.

Naturally, I have been told that it is probably all in my imagination (NOT!!). I am on low doese of ropinirole for restless leg syndrome and lorazepam at bedtime to help me cope with the claustrophobia of a CPAP mask, and no other regular medication. I am 64 and female and overweight.

My RLS started over 20 years ago and has been really bad for about 15 years. Ropinirole, once I was put on it in 2007, was a Godsend and just about covers it as long as I don't miss a dose (currently 4 x daily starting at 10am) My consultant has now suggested trying Slow Mag (Slow release magnesium) in hopes that I can reduce the number of Ropinirole I have to take to be able to function normally.

My uncle just turned 60 years old and a doctor recently diagnosed him with RLS. But, the symptoms just don't seem to fit the typical pattern. I take carbidopa /levo ER when my restless legs kick in and it has not failed me yet. I get it almost daily. It is a parkinson's med, but I only take 3-6 a day when it gets bad and those with parkinson's take 36 a day. So the warnings are for those larger amounts. The non generic name is sinemet cr.

My doctor prescribed me clonidine for withdrawal. ROPINIROLE for restless leg syndrome. Ambien Cr for sleep and valium for anxiety. It all helped but the first week is hell on earth.

put me on high blood pressure med.s and Ropinirole, which is for restless leg syn. Which that is not the entire reason I am not sleeping. Truth is my mind is going a mile a second. Chol. is high to boot, and I've lost about 8 lbs in a week...not trying at all. At night when I try to go to bed my leg gets real restless .. I'm not sure how to describe how it feels .. Not like painful but more annoying than anything? Has anyone else experienced this when they trying to sleep and if so, what did you do to try to get it to go away?

How can you cure restless leg. My husb has it and takes a med at the highest level. He has to take it 2hrs before bed. Please, can he be cured?
