Hi, Not sure about everyone else but I know that for me the restless legs is one of the worst symptoms. I told my doctor that I was struggling and he prescribed me Ropinirole tablets, one to take before bedtime. I took one last night and, fingers crossed, it seemed to work. Most of you are probably aware of this but for those who aren't, it might be worth a try.

I was dx with RLS after feeling like my legs had a mind of their own....ropinirole 2x a day.
I only recently learned that Ropinirole should be taken several hours before going to sleep. Made all the difference for me. I had been popping it 1/2 hr. before bedtime and wondering why it wasn't working. By taking it earlier, the sensations are gone before I get into bed.
Idaho, Have you tried Ropinirole? Seems like your symptom is mainly pain, rather than restlessness, so I'm not sure if this will work. I have had pain, but not to the same degree. Worth a try, though.
So they have in ropinirole (I forgot how to spell it) but 1mg doesn't seem to be working. :( what other meds can I request?
Early on I was diagnosed with primary paradoxical syndrome, but was negative at a later date...I take Midodrine, (rencently started) and gabapentin, baclofen, ropinirole which I have been on these 3 for years
What is causing this is extreme sleepiness?? I cannot function...any meds or test?? I'm open to suggestions to help me function...
So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night. I had some psychosis and was up all night long, but laying and I had the shakes at first but I'm actually proud I made it through the night without popping that pill. Took my medicine this morning and slept for about 5 hours and no psychosis, hallucinations or anything.
Get a sleep consult, a sleep study (in lab, unfortunately) and a [while you are waiting, talk to your PCP] prescription for Ropinirole. Starting dosage is around 0.5mg but it depends on your physiology. They may try Mirapex, Gabapentin, or other drugs. You should also avoid caffeine as much as you can, as this will aggravate the hell out of this.
I have been taking Ambien for 5 years now and take anywhere from 20-30mg, plus Lamotrigine for Depression, Ropinirole for RLS, and a few others. The Ambien does not work well for me anymore and this past month my insomnia has escalated. In addition to the RLS I have body jolts, hallucinations while I'm falling asleep, and these electrical zapping sensations throughout my body.
Since I already have RLS, will I have to look forward to an increase in the severity of my RLS??? I am very worried. I take Requip (ropinirole) for RLS but it is not a total relief of it. RLS is hell as you dread going to bed, you dread movies, you dread airplanes as you know that your legs will instantly start to ache and you will have the compulsion to constantly move them to relieve the discomfort.
Dopamine agonists such as ropinirole, pramipexole, carbidopa/levodopa or pergolide are used and you have to monitor these drugs.
There are some issues with the use of dopamine agonists. There are conditions where the drug itself causes symptoms to increase in severity and/or occur earlier in the day. Monitoring the adverse effects of the drug and titrating a proper dosage is important for your daughter.

I want to become a mother again. I have a 19 y/o. I am a newly wed. My husband has no children we are considering IVF but it is so costly. Not sure if I am able d/t high FSH. didn't get result for AMH as of yet. But if its not possible for me to have one biologically we are considering using DE. My question. Is it cheaper using a family or friend as a donor in comparison using an anonymous donor. Where I am living, it cost $16,500 for DE...IVF cost almost $20,000.
Oh my goodness! That is so expensive. Here in new zealand all medical care is absolutely free. It seems unethical to charge someone to give birth!

hello again, thanks to all the people that responded. was wondering about the cost of meds. interferon and ribavirin, im checking with my ins. to see what they will cover. i may have misspoke about this thing on hepititusccure.net i dont think it is herbal? it deals with fatty liver tissue. but its only 50 bucks to read about it so i dont really have anything to lose. going back to doc in 3 mo. not sure why till i decide on tx. if tx takes care of virus, do people go back to normal lifestyle?
