i have been reading and i believe that estrogen plays a very important role in conceiving! am i wrong? do levels get higher throughout your cycle? has anyone had troubles conceiving with low levels? . can someone take estrogen supplements? we've been ttc for over three years and i have had the fertily workup done back then and there is no blockage in my tubes, or anything.
what is the role of progesterone in invitro fertilization? I just had a transfer done 3 days ago. I have read that progesterone is not supposed to be given while pregnant or while trying to get pregnant, yet, my doctor has me injecting myself with 1 ml per day, plus vaginal inserts of endometrin four times per day. Is this normal procedure?
Can you check these levels yourself or is this something you have to go in and have a doctor do? Only curious because I've been considering going in to seek professional advice too.

20%). The results page says my estradiol is out of range. it says 10L with a range of 13-54 pg/mL. Does 10 Liters convert to 10,000 mL which is 185times the normal maximum range. I didn't have cortisol measured.
My Dr. said Testosterone was fine. He never mentioned anything about the estradiol level. He suggested I had depression. I've had chronic anxiety but don't feel depressed. We've tried a few SNRI's. It's been 2 1/2 months since tests results.
I am currently taking Lupron and Estradiol leading up to my IVF. I am having awful headaches and some nausea with the estradiol. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? Thanks!

Hi, everybody. My name's Kristin. I really, really hope someone here can help me. I'm terrified. I'm twenty-four, but for the last eight months or so, I've been having menopausal symptoms. My doctor had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol levels tested twice. Here are my results:
FSH
first test: 6.2
second test: 6.8

first test: normal apparently, but I didn't see what exactly it was
second test: 7.
That was 2 years ago and since then I have had a lot of stress and upset in my life. I have recently started with stabbing pains in my right breast again and for a few months now my joints, especially my lower back have been so painful. I have a new Dr who has read up on my condition tho and has said that there is a link between IGM and joint pain! Correct, its presence indicates a pregnancy. I didn't know it was necessary to create a pregnancy, I thought it was an offshoot of pregnancy (I was told it is produced by the placenta). All serum levels in my basic chemistry panel, CBC plus differential, thyroid panel, and urine analysis were normal except my estradiol. It was 84 with a lab range with an upper limit of 54. My testosterone was normal at 630 and my DHEA was normal at 265. I am thin and I have no masses on the testicles that can be felt. But, i am nervous about the elevated estradiol. My doctor seems not alarmed and will be repeating the test.
I haven't got my testing done yet but I'm probably around 3 weeks. I stopped taking birth control in October and haven't had a regular period sense, I think I had a false pregnancy or miscarriage 3 1/2weeks ago. I've had unprotected sex sense the day after and have felt completely pregnant even more than before and progressively more the last few days. We are hoping pregnant and I honestly feel it so much.
Much worse then pms. Could this be a side effect of the estradiol, or could it be pregnancy effects. I go for a pregnancy test on 2/25. When I called and asked my dr. about these side effects I was told it is just a reaction to all the hormones inside my body, and that my progesterone level was excellent# to hold a pregnancy. Was told to take tylenol, but it does nothing. Has anyone else taken estradiol after in iui and experiences these reactions?
