Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 35 year old woman and I've been suffering from vertigo and dizziness for about 8 months now with tinnitus and hearing loss in my left ear. (I've had these symptoms on and off for about 10 years). Every doctor I've seen has mentioned Menieres but now my ENT consultant has said it's low down on the list and has now referred me to a neurologist and for an MRI. I'm terrified that there is something seriously wrong with me.
655875 tn?1295695107 Maxalt is a a 5-HT1 agonist triptan drug containing rizatriptan benzoate. It is recommended that doses should be separated by at least 2 hours and no more than 30 mg should be taken in any 24-hour period. However, the safety of treating, more than four headaches in a 30-day period has not been established. Analgesics and other over-the-counter pain relievers are often associated with rebound headaches.
Avatar f tn sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate. Yesterday my skin was freaking out again and I hadn't changed any of the products I had been using. But, much of the irritation was around my mouth which brought me to look at foods I had recently been eating. I made the connection that perhaps the preservatives of the smoothie I reacted to were in the ham or cheese or fig newtons I had just recently added to my diet. Fig newtons contained both sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.
Avatar m tn A friend of mine noticed a tiny lump at the root of his penis and is painful during erection. I have surfed through the internet; the best treatment is to take Potassium Para-Amino Benzoate. Some recommend Vitamin E and little other. option. Where can I buy Potassium Para-Amino Benzoate in Malaysia. What is the best treatment beside surgery?
Avatar m tn My dermatologist prescribed me to rub in benzyl benzoate 25% for five days. I have been using the benzyl benzoate, but at the very beginning I have noticed that it is kind of "weird", it is really liquid like water, and white-ish. And when every time I have used it, I didnt feel any reaction such as tingling, as the doctor and pharmacist suggested I would.
Avatar m tn I went to a neurologist and they prescribed me Nortriptyline, Methylprednisolone, and Rizatriptan. Since I have taken these medications I have gained a little relief however, it all just came back after a week. When I was on rizatriptan it constricted the vessels on the temporal regions of my head and I did not feel them throbbing too much, however, there were still headaches.
Avatar m tn Hi, Maxalt is brand name for Rizatriptan. It belongs to the category of medication known as Triptans. Triptans are very effective in treatment of acute migraine attacks because they are known to reduce the swelling of blood vessels. Dilatation of blood vessels in the brain is known to cause migraines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rizatriptan It is nice to know that you are finding this site useful. God bless!
Avatar f tn By way of background I have chronic daily headaches as well as migraines with aura, and have had those since I was 14 (I’m 32 now). I take rizatriptan for the migraines and Tylenol and ibuprofen for the daily headache.
Avatar f tn I have a history of horrible migraines since my early teens and they just recently began. It's been exactly a week since I've had this particular migraine and since tylenol is the only safe thing I can take, I am in agony!! I'm used to taking excedrin and rizatriptan but neither of those are safe for the baby. I've tried sleeping, cold rags on my neck and forehead, head rubs, everything! And I just can't get rid of if! I'm to the point where I want to go to the e.
Avatar n tn The last 2 weeks or so my migraines have gotten more frequent and less apt to respond to Rizatriptan. I am wondering if I am just having a bad week or if the accutane is to blame.
Avatar f tn I had cataract removal surgery over a year ago with premium bifocal implants via laser. I've had occasional migraines since then but has come to daily occurrences since June 2022 (most of pain is behind left eye). I've seen my ophthalmologist twice since surgery and she says I have 20/20 vision with nothing wrong. I'm currently seeing a neurologist and he has prescribed Nortriptyline for preventative (which hasn't helped) and Rizatriptan to get rid of migraine.
Avatar f tn html I would suggest you to discuss this with your prescribing doctor if it is getting difficult to cope with this side effect. There are other triptans available which you can try like Rizatriptan. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn Apart from Excedrine Migraine, the other abortive drugs are the triptans (Sumatriptan, Rizatriptan) and ergot alkaloids. And some of the preventive drugs are anticonvulsants and antidepressants.

Avatar f tn m taking (Rizatriptan, Diclofenac, and Fulticasone) since I have only started to take the medication last year. I was on ibuprofen but stop taking them since the doctor thought the bruising was caused by it. The doctors are treating the conditions that I mentioned separately. I'm not sure if they should be treating the symptoms together or separate. I'm starting to get scared, I'm just want to know what is happening to me.
Avatar n tn Treatment options include either topical or oral medication. Topical options include permethrin cream, lindane, benzyl benzoate, crotamiton lotion and cream, sulfur, Tea tree oil, oil of the leaves of Lippia multiflora Moldenke, a shrub found growing in West Africa Savannah. Oral options include ivermectin. You could read more about this at the following links - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scabies and http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/scabies/factsht_scabies.
7364027 tn?1391791254 I use an oil free face wash with salicylic acid and I use a topical spot cream with benzoate or whatever it's called. I only put on foundation when I go out now too. I had bad skin before I got pregnant and it got way worse but I'm also more diligent about treating it now so compared to before my skin actually looks better.
Avatar m tn Specifically Imitrex works. Rizatriptan not so much.
Avatar f tn My daughter had the same problem and they found that she developed an allergy to the chemical in deodorant, alkyl benzoate I believe is the ingredient , so we found a sensitive skin one by dove without that ingredient
Avatar f tn I've tried the OTC hairball stuff for cats, but there is a scary ingredient in it. It's called Sodium Benzoate. It is poisonous for cats!!! I think it does something to the nervous system. I saw this info on-line somewhere. I sure wish I could remember where I saw it. I was very upset when I came across that info, because a lot of the companies add this poison to their meds. The brand my vet sells is called Catlax. Do you believe, that brand has that junk in it??????
Avatar f tn Water (Eau), Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA The website also says not for use by nursing mothers or women who are trying to get pregnant, as well as pregnant women. Yowser. I would post the website but it's kind of pornographic and I don't think it passes Medhelp rules.
Avatar f tn t know what they are? Do you eat lunch meat with sodium nitrates?....breads with sodium benzoate?.... Breads at all are not good for you because of yeast. Yeast is deadly and bread is made from grains that have mycotoxins in them (brown rice is O.K.)..no white sugars, use honey instead. Know what you are putting in your mouth!
Avatar f tn It has been four days now but I have this weird pressure in my temple that doesn't go away. It almost feels as though it radiates to the bone behind my ear. I have migraines and have taken plenty of ibuprofen and my rizatriptan and those aren't making it go away. It doesn't ache really it just feels heavy. I also grind my teeth at night but I am not sure why I'd only have it on one side but I have tried my Flexeril as well and that hasn't helped.
