Avatar n tn This is a good discussion to have with your doctor. Metformin, the immediate release version and Metformin, the extended release version are the exact same medication. The extended release version just doesn't have to be taken as often as it is released over time. The bid or twice a day schedule with the Metformin you currently take will work as well as the once a day extended release version. That's really the main difference.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried the extended releExtended release Xanaxase Xanax? I know it has been on the market for a bit but I haven't heard any feedback.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Has anyone tried extended release Topamax or Topiramate? It is called Trokedi XR. I am going to try it because my memory is so bad on Topamax. My neurologist said it might be better with Trokedi XR but it is very expensive. So if you can tell me before I buy it I would appreciate any feedback.
Avatar f tn t seem to be much you can do if it is, the main stay of treatment seems to be behavioural treatment like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) some of the behavioural treatment include a Water bed, or Memory foam Mattress & Pillows, although your littleun sounds a bit young for any of this yet.
Avatar m tn I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 due to a 7.5 A1C test. First question: during the last 2.5 months, I have been in pain and stressing from a herniated disc. It was actually the pre-surgery screening that caused the A1C test to occur. On top of that, for 10 days about 6 weeks ago I was on Prednisone. The docs seem to be discounting all that and believe the A1C still to be accurate. At the office, my first reading 2 hours after breakfast was 132.
1079474 tn?1256006863 I cant sleep, i can barely eat ( in 4 months i went from 160lbs to 110lbs), my eye sight has gotten worse, i am always mad, i have no energy when before i had alot of energy,my memory is horrible, i am unable to stay focused on one thing ( just this section has taken me an hour to do), and i am no longer able to perform daily tasks like normal people do. This headache has affected the way i am with my children and my husband.
Avatar f tn Thought they were migraines as they happened once every 6 weeks Last 2 months they have been getting worse, headaches with sickness every day. Once or twice a day, dizziness, memory loss, behavioural changes, confusion, slurred speech, balance issues, pain in left leg and blurred Vision. The pain is that bad she has told me she wants to kill herself because she can't take the pain. I have been to the gp and hospital.
1831849 tn?1383228392 Plegridy, Biogen IDEC's new version of Avonex, has been delayed by the FDA. They have extended the review period without asking for additional studies. Plegridy is Avonex on a less frequent dosing schedule. http://www.reuters.
Avatar n tn Many people report an increase in heart palpitations after switching from Toprol XL to its generic version, Metoprolol. My guess is that the generic version is ****, which is the case with many generics, despite what the FDA tells consumers.
405614 tn?1329144114 Kathy - I recently had Dragon Naturally Speaking - Professional version, installed on my PC at work. The microphone just arrived before I went off on vacation for Xmas, so I will start using it once I'm back to work in January. They installed version 8, however there is now a v.10 that is supposed to be quite superior. I will try v.8 first and see if it suffices before I consider requesting an upgrade.
1855076 tn?1337115303 Well, they switched me to a long-acting med. Same medication, same dosage but the extended release version. Me being me, of course, it's not that simple. Seems there's something in the long-acting ingredients that are making me itch like crazy. So, it's back to the immediate release version. Thankfully, for whatever, reason I am, at the moment, in pretty good shape.
309783 tn?1271958229 When i picked up my prescription last time I was given Viepax instead of Effexor. Presumably these are a cheaper generic version but are the ingredients identical? Eloise.
Avatar f tn I did not understand properly about the extended release version. I dont know whether it is the correct time for me to stop xanax or not. I am student and I have loads of reading to do for a day. Is the confusion because of over dosage. I think I read about it somewhere. I had some pain in my left chest area and my left hand goes numb and it will be paining. It is not exactly numb but I feel so. Previously when I started taking it my dizziness will go after an hour I wake up.
Avatar f tn If memory serves (Who am I kidding? MY memory?!?!), there is now a specific antibody test for NMO a.k.a. Devic's. If that's what I think it is, mine was negative. Last year? No, earlier this year. Sometime. Whatever you have, get well soon!
Avatar f tn If you don't follow the instructions you won't get a useful test. If you don't have a useful test then test again.
Avatar n tn reasoning, and more by repeating things immediately, 15 minutes later, half hour later, little puzzles and test to test your ability to sort things and solve problems. That test takes a few hours.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know about these? It's the extended release version of tramadol but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything else? I was prescribed it in Canada on vacation by a doctor in my mother in laws clinic. I am using it until next Friday when I'm on a long weekend and am going to stop taking it and going med free!
Avatar m tn When a household family member died about four ago I suddenly lost all of my short-term memory. Within a few days I also sunk into a bad depression with lots of crying. After various doctor visits, therapy, antidepressants and antianxiety meds, work-up at Stanford, etc., I am still having the same level of memory loss, although the depression has finally begun to weaken some. They call the memory loss Pseudodementia (believe me, there's nothing pseudo about it).
Avatar n tn Did the doctor test your ANA when doing your blood test? The fatigue made me think autoimmune. Do you have any body aches?
Avatar m tn As I said it is behavioural there is nothing medically wrong with him I am the second owner he has done this with he does this when he is angry with you. So when my youngest was in the nicu for 2 months he would soil my bed every time I left the door open. If he isn't fed what and when he wants he will vomit there it never food in it as he holds out for what he has decided he wants to eat. He has been checked so yes he is evil, As its behavioral.
