Ritalin and xanax together

Common Questions and Answers about Ritalin and xanax together

ritalin

So it isn't rare for a patient who is trying adderal to help treat depression to already be prescribed Xanax, Klonopin or Ativan. Xanax and adderal often work well together as the benzo can relieve the anxiety and jitteriness caused by the adderall which in turn keeps the patient more focused and awake, as Xanax is used for insomnia and can make many users groggy. The idea that uppers and downers are bad for you is a myth.
com and it did state interactions between the drugs alprazolam (Xanax) and Wellbutrin XL but did not state the two could not be taken together. This is what it stated below: MONITOR: Excessive use or abrupt discontinuation of benzodiazepines and other sedatives after chronic ingestion may precipitate seizures in patients receiving bupropion. Conversely, bupropion may antagonize the central pharmacologic effects of sedatives.
are these drugs safe together in the dosages I mentioned above and 2.
And always remember to never take any of the meds (bupe, Ritalin, xanax) to close together or it can really mess you up. Esp the Ritalin and Bupe. Try and give that a good 4 hour window. I'll be sure to write back and share with you. I was the first in my part of town to do subs. Now I'm the first who is gonna be sober. Glad to know there is a few of us out here. And I'm lucky enough to have one of my beat friends on the same exact prescriptions except he takes adderall which I absolutely hate.
I found a bottle hidden in an empty file drawer in his office. And found 2 bottles of ritalin, and 1 of concerta hidden in the garage. And a bottle of ritalin down in his office. So he has 4 bottles with pills in them. I also notice increased sweating. Yesterday I looked at him at dinner time and his scalp was full of sweat beads ( I could see it through his hair) And he has complained himself about these night sweats he is having.
I have tried Cipralex, Efexor, Fluanxol, Xanor (Xanax), Rivotril, Seroquel, Ritalin, Wellbutrin, Esperide. All had horrible side effects and and had to stop and try something else. I am currently taking Valdoxane and Molipaxin, but feel completely detached and unemotional, which is a problem as I have been married 9 months and my wife is 7 months pregnant. My doctor hads taken my off Molipaxin and prescribed me Lyrica to take in conjunction with Voldoxane.
I tried multiple anitdepressants and had a difficult time with them mostly because each had it's own postives and negatives. I was diagnosed with ADD at 5 and was on ritalin until I did the same thing with that at 20 as I did with the anitdepressants. I went to school without either at 22 and although it was VERY difficult I got through and started a very good job. It was after starting that job that I realized how to accept both the depression and the ADD and accept help for both.
The reason why Valium got a bad rap is the same reason why barbituates got one and why oxycodone and other drugs are street drugs and why Prozac and the SSRI drugs are massively overprescibed as is Ritalin and many anti biotics. Doctors facilitate patient drug use and abuse.
I know what it's like to live with anxiety and fear over your heart. About a year ago I was on prozac and ritalin and I was in a stressful relationship so I was drinking...a lot. one morning out of the blue my heart began to race and would not slow down...I went to ER. Once there they wheeled a corpse past me and I saw a woman die in front of my eyes on a trolley...the look on her face still haunts me.
but he said thats only if you r prone to seizures...so i went to drug checker and put in all my meds ritalin, xanax and wellbutrin....it says the combo of wellbutrin and ritalin really increases the chance of seizures and so does the xanx..so im scared to take it now,dr also said i could drink a couple beers and i think that increases seizures to.............I have never had a seizure so maybe im worried for nothing ..anyone been on this combo?
Has anyone else experienced weight gain AFTER reducing their Effexor dosage? I stared taking Xanax about a year ago, as well. And I'm diabetic. My sugar levels stay in the mid- 300's( not good). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I just snapped one day and ended up in the hospital for a weekend, after drinking wine, taking xanax, and then slashing my wrist. Clearly I was bad at it, since none of the 3 worked very well :). I just sold my house, and am moving to Florida as soon as I can orchestrate it. I really believe it will be better.
I've recently gone back on to my add med (Adderall - I Hated Ritalin and Concerta (concerta is just extended release Ritalin) - I'm also taking Xanax w/Ambien at night. I've been on these meds for awhile and have had no issue with them. That said - they both are extremely addictive. Amphetamine's are easier for WD's, but harder on the body if not used as perscribed. Benzo(whatevers), are easier on your body (as long as used as perscribed) but have worse WD's than opiate's.
Spouse taking Seroquel, Lithium, & Geodon. Auditory hallucinations & delusions began about a month ago with no prior history of mental illness (we've been together 14 years). He was however abusing oxycodone, oxycontin, xanax, soma, & ritalin. We took him to the ER 3 wks ago & he was put on risperdal 1mg x1 wk, then 2mg before going back to ER. With no past mental illness history & age ~40...
Hello to all.... First I want to say that I am not giving up my meds just yet. I have been weaning off ogf them though. It is sooo hard, I feel like **** and I got drunk on Saturday. I got wasted and slept for 18 hours. My husband didn't like that either, but that was his suggestion. He really is clueless, which is why I will continue to take my meds and function accordingly. You have given me some options, none of which are suitable for "our" lifestyle!
I also take adderall for add and xanax for anxiety. The reason that you are experiencing anxiety like symptoms from the adderall is because adderall is a stimulant. It is a mix of amphetamine and dextoamphetamine salts. It is a schedule II drug. Schedule I drugs are the worst classification and it goes down to schedule V. This is not uncommon, I have this problem as well. The question is can you live with the extra anxiety if the adderall is really helping you?
I have a really hard time being around friends and family. I dont think Ritalin can do this to anyone, even if its snorted and abused. When i think about how I feel, the best way to describe it to someone else is the feeling of being hungover. I have a hard time believing that something called "depression" has nothing to do with being depressed. I'm not upset or mad or anything, I just want my functioning skills back!!
I also CT'd Ritalin, but I'm not sure if it's one that should be stopped or weaned. Mine came from a Dr, and unlike Roxie's, I didn't abuse Ritalin, and just quit them. Other's here will know. You so can do this. You and your spouse have a wonderful, full life to look forward to, clean.
I used to take Synthroid and Prozac together before I had a baby last year and I was fine. I'm not necessarily concerned about mixing the two because it was never a problem for me before. The only thing I'm wondering is if the Prozac is going to help if my thyroid levels aren't stabilized.
However the best medication that I take that helps me with my anxiety is Xanax and Ambien. I have found that if you crush one Xanax and one Ambien and mix them together to snort them works unbeleavable great. It is a great anxiety/stress reliever and since I take Ritalin it doesn't make me nod out. I just feel positive and great about life. Do not try this until you know your own tolerence. I do not recommend trying this to anyone that doesn't have a history of an Opiate addiction.
This is where I began taking Xanax. Xanax made (and still makes me) sleepy, but at least it helped me cope. But I found that I didn't want to stop using it because it was working overall. Now today, it is almost like I can't sleep without taking it. I shake uncontrollably sometimes until I take a pill to calm me down. My doses are as low as 0.5mg. I have a friend who is like this too who is my same age.
I am on Ativan and Ritalin too. The Ritalin is new it is to see if it would help me stop crying but I dont know if I am depressed from the drugs or just losing my mind.
I found it very effective and i had the exact same symptoms as you and was preoccupied with them day in and day out. I tried XANAX prior to clonazepam and it actually made my anxiety worse because it was too strong and doesnt stay in your system as long. As for the pot, I would highly recommend quiting as it will make your anxiety worse. You should also try modate exercise, eating and sleeping properly.
I've since tried most of the ADs after that (having tried Effexor, Ritalin and Xanax) still with the same lack of results. I haven't gone to see a psychiatrist. I'm CURRENTLY on Zyprexa from my GP, it's been just under a week.
I have certainly contemplated Xanax and the like and that drug wasn't ever even mentioned to me until I finally was officially ADD tested and they said i DIDN'T have it. I'd even had a doctor prescribe Zoloft to me in the past, because she's the one that diagnosed me with ADD as a child and when i got continually more frustrated as a young adult, she stated that anti-depressants were a common way to treat ADD in adults.

amphetamine (Dexedrine®, Adderall®), methamphetamine (Desoxyn®), and methylphenidate (Ritalin®). Other Schedule II substances include: amobarbital, glutethimide, and pentobarbital. Schedule 3 Substances in this schedule have a potential for abuse less than substances in Schedules I or II and abuse may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.
The drugs Adderal, Ritalin, Amphetamine Sulphate, Concerta, Vyanase, Dexedrine, and Methedrine and the like are all similar. They are all classed as pharmacological stimulants and they all work in roughly the same way after they are taken, that is by making more dopamine available in those part of the the brain (like the frontal lobes, for example) that are dopamine deficient due to problems (with dopaminergic nerves and dopamine receptors, etc) that have been caused by ADHD.
i was heavily addicted for over two years to snorting oxycontin and/or heroin, along with xanax, any other benzo, or sleeping pills. basically any pill i could find a way to snort i would take it. i got help, detoxed, and went to treatment. iw as on a suboxone treatment plan for 8 months, but then i severely broke and separated my wrist which ended up leaving me in the vicious cycle of addiction all over again.
