risperidone seroquel

I took it for a while and was surprised at how quick it worked. There were aspects of it that made me stop taking it but it was mostly just that I couldn't really tolerate it with the Seroquel. I decided to let it go instead of the Seroquel. It is a great medicine though for most and I am glad that it is improving the quality of your life. Are you still going to stay on a low dose of Seroquel or ccome off of it completely?

ve been taking Lamictal for about 7 months, along with a secondary anti-psychotic to after a major mania episode. I started on Seroquel for about 3 months, and the combination seemed to work well. I had to D/C the Seroquel when my insurance changed and it wasn't covered. Since then I've tried first perphenazine (4 weeks), then thiothixene (six weeks), but they were too sedating and I was having a problem working.

She has been on risperidone for many years. Recently we have tried other drugs and her symptoms of aggression have increased. She is currently on Strattera, serequel, and hydroxizine (to help her sleep). She has only been on the serequel 2 days and it is not helping. The risperidone was stopped immediately because of weight gain. I need some suggestions on what we can do. HELP!

morning 25mg seroquel, lunch 25 seroquel, supper 1mg stelazin, dinner 25mg seroquel+1mg risperidone before going to sleep). Today, when I posted (does mania come suddendly), for the 1st time, my stelazin didn't work it lasted only for 2 hrs and I started feeling the devil inside me like I want to kill someone, I also saw the devil in the mirror. I will be taking instead 50mg seroquel before going to bed, hoping to land again by tomorrow. However I discovered something new.

I am on risperidone 1mg, seroquel 150mg (a strange combo) which worked well. So i removed 25mg seroquel. I resemble this by throwing one bag of sand to lift the balloon. My 2 questions: -- If I keep throwing more bags, is it OK so long it lifts me up. But suppose this doesn't lift me up in the end, but helps me to survive, is this OK as far as BP handling is concerned, i.e. should I take anything even though I can more or less handle my problems.

For instance 100 seroquel = 1 risperidone = 3 zyprexa. My information is that all are given to prevent mania and reduce dopamine responsible for psychosis. Yet seroquel especially is given for depression too this is why it works as a mood stabilizer. Some say all atypical are the same but seroquel seems to be different from readings and at least it works for me. My combo is 75 seroquel + 1 risperidone + 1 stelazin (typical AP). It's weird and crazy usually one AP is enough.

No i mean your view as experts. I'm afraid i consider you experts. In egypt there is a proverb "ask a patient not a doctor" becayuse he has a lot of experience with meds. So it was you whom i meant from what you wrote so far i see that my views agree with yours. Still when i mention my meds to people some of them tell me and some don't "you should take an MS". I am on risperidone 1mg, seroquel 50mg and stelazin 2mg. So i consider myself taking an MS.

Hi, seroquel made me paranoid (something was always behind me and going to grab me any sec), I couldn't have any one touch me, I couldn't sit through a movie or listen to music. It gave me weird dreams but I didn't remember them. I would get up in the middle of the night, cook an entire meal, eat it and kind of clean up all without being fully awake. I barely had any idea what was going on with that. In the morning I'd see bits of food on the floor and unwashed dishes.

I started to take invega because risperidone was making me gain a lot of weight. I changed but I can't lose that weight. I was already taking sertraline I still take it. I stopped having my period when on invega and Pregnancy is not on the table already done the test. Can anyone help me?

The more I up my mood I sleep better and more calm. I use seroquel for up to 2 years to control my mania without affecting more or less my mood, so i don't an AD any more in 10 years. What irritates me is that I take 150 of seroquel. I add 1 risperidone. Actually they are equivalent; for each 1mg of the latter is equivalent to 100mg of the former. My problem is that I wish to reduce my seroquel a bit but each time I do this I have mixed states.

Ive been on seroquel and amitriptylne for abt 6 yrs now. They suddenly stopped working so i quit them. Over the last 6 months ive tried every med out there for sleep and nothing has helped. Ive had severe insomnia since i was a child. Anyways ive tried various antipsychotics through my psychiatrist. The most recent one i tried was olanzapine. The thing is, i only took 2 doses and right away i got muscle spasms and tics through my entire body. I came off it.

I'm on Lorazepan 2,5mg, Paroxetine 10mg, Seroquel 200mg, Risperidone 0,5mg, per day. Eventhough I feel sad and depressed. Can I try to take Tryptophan pills?

Doctor tried to up the dosage for Solian, it made me feel constricted again like the Risperidone and doctor suggested I try Risperidone again. This time, the same dosage as the last year, 2 mg Risperidone, made me feel okay and I began a new period, with a new job...I was also switched on Prozac(fluoxetine) 20mg and it worked fine for a while. I did a stupid thing, took 5 pills of Prozac because I was bored, wanted to use them sort of as drugs and I ended up hospitalized again...

My Pdoc had suggested an extremely slow tapering of risperidone over 10-12 weeks but I tapered it over 6 weeks and only had minimal withdrawl symptoms.I am yet to go and see him.I am stable on tegretol 1000 mg with no side effects.Hope it stays good.

50mg seroquel, 1mg risperidone, 1mg stellazin (typical antipsychotic) my last mania 4 years ago. I extinguished it by 300 seroquel. After which I kept reducing seroquel dose, until a month ago succeed till 50. Perhaps at this dose no antidepressant effect of it. Perhaps should be higher than that. Already I am BPII so depression is my problem.

If I were you I would taper and stop the Risperidone and Stelazine and raise the Seroquel to thereuptic range or stop all three and start on Lamictal which is a known MS.You run the risk of Tardive Dyskinesia,diabetes if you take 3 AP's simaltenously.

i take lithium btu i havent gone through anything like that though.. i have gained like 30 pounds on it and and got the shakes really bad.. when my dose was to high it made me throw up but nothing major...

Hi, For the past year I am taking LUVOX 100mg every night and from the past few months I was feeling getting panic very often that's why my Dr. prescribed to take RISPERIDONE 0.5mg to take with LUVOX 100mg. I just want to ask you guys is it safe to use these two drugs at once. Very often I gets kind a panic and very often gets angry. Please help asap..

it occurred to me that seroquel is frying my brain and changes it. I take risperidone 1mg and another AP (typical) 1mg. If i cut these two any time nothing will happen seriously except in the long run. In fact i did that many times in the course of my bloody illness. But as soon as i cut seroquel i feel it right away with my mixed states. I know each of these nasty drugs causes something or another but seroquel is by excellence the worst.
