He was lovely, he spoke to me and diagnosed me with Bipolar disorder and referred me to the recovery team, he gave me blood forms and ecg forms before any mood stabilisers were given.

Is there such thing if the person is not on meds? Can a bipolar disorder be less extreme than it is known to be.

I have poor memory when I am kinda depressesed and good memory on elevated mood and mania and my intelligence , creativity etc also improves. Doctor told me that I have Fluctuating mood and he gave me a Tetracyclic Antidepressant (Mirtazapine) and an antipsychotic Risperidone. Yes, I had psychosis . But now I am avoiding my doctor's advice and taking only antidepressant and my memory/cognition is improved. But I am very little mania type now.

Taken regularly you may control the anxiety you are feeling. I know that your bipolar disorder and anxiety are often hard to treat in tandem.

If I were you I would taper and stop the Risperidone and Stelazine and raise the Seroquel to thereuptic range or stop all three and start on Lamictal which is a known MS.You run the risk of Tardive Dyskinesia,diabetes if you take 3 AP's simaltenously.

So your doctor must have a point to allow you to stop seroquel I remember in 2006 I finished college and i went to my pdoc saying anxiety is off and no stresses so i want to stop the med (i was dx OCD then) i was taking risperidone and anafranil (an AD) so the stupid fellow said OK, I asked which to ween off from 1st he said the atypical so i stopped the risperidone. I've been taking Lamictal for about 7 months, along with a secondary anti-psychotic to after a major mania episode. I started on Seroquel for about 3 months, and the combination seemed to work well. I had to D/C the Seroquel when my insurance changed and it wasn't covered. Since then I've tried first perphenazine (4 weeks), then thiothixene (six weeks), but they were too sedating and I was having a problem working.

I read that Its 50/50. Depends though, I know ppl that are bipolar and have three kids, one has mood disorder. I'm bipolar, so is my husband and were having a baby in Nov. So I'm curious to see how this will work out. Either way what better people to help a child or someone deal with it then someone who actually has it themselves.

Have u googled the meds? I knw citalopram is for anxiety and depression. Risperidone is for mood disorder. My daughter takes them. Not sure bout the others. Google may help. Sorry couldnt be of more help. Good luck.

t know maybe its side effect of those new medicaments but Im terrified when i read abt RISSET(RISPERIDONE) because this med is to treat sichzophrenia or bipolar disorder and that is antiphcychotic .I have no an idea what to do...

I have been on 1500mg of depakote for 6 months for bipolar disorder and I was wondering does anybody know how to get off this stuff without all the seizures and withdrawals. Any help would be appreciated.
