344602 tn?1244232730 So does anyone else have really wird vision issues I tihnk this is related to my heart rate but im sure It looks like flat surfaces are condensing into a center..as if what im seeing is moving to the center of my eye toawrd the pupil?/ does this have something to do with the blood being pumped in the eye or what..anyone get this?
Avatar f tn Well, I know that spots and vision changes can be associated with preeclampsia and other health issues. It may also be no big deal though. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and call your doctor just to keep them in the loop. They may want you to come in and it's always better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I did but I actually had extreme light sensitivity and small vision changes. It went back to normal after. This second pregnancy I've had some blurriness and light sensitivity but it seems to adjust itself.
915119 tn?1341948989 Is anyone having vision changes? This is the first time this happens to me. So today I drove to my doctor (about 45 mins. away). I was at the mall and started to notice a spot from which I could not see (on my left eye). So I ignored it and then within a little while I started to see like a string of flashing, again in my left eye. Within a couple of minutes it started to be present in my right eye. Somehow I managed to get to my doctor's office.
7891785 tn?1397532007 Has anyone had changes in vision since being pregnant? I JUST had an eye exam like 2 wks before i got pregnant got my new glasses and such, prescription was totally different than my last. I use to be able to see fine w/out my glasses. Now i struggle to walk w/out them. I know it is also affected by the new prescription, but it shouldnt be affected this much. I know i need to go back and see my eye dr, and i do plan to, just curious if anyone else has had issues with their vision changing.
2010625 tn?1329372056 I may have to go off my Risperdal. My doctor is checking my hormone levels because my periods have stopped and I am lactating. He said if my hormone levels are high I can either add Abilify or replace the Risperdal altogether. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any medications that I could replace the Risperdal with. I don't go see my psychiatrist for another 2 months.
Avatar n tn My 13 year old son is bi-polar. He is taking a drug called Risperdal, which can directly affect glucose levels, cholesterol and triglycerides. He has always tolerated this drug very well...been on it for 3 years. We routinely have bloodwork done. In the past 4 months he has gained nearly 20 lbs, drinks and urinates constantly and craves carbs and sweets. He was always a normal weight before.
898530 tn?1268618782 The Neurologist just started her on Risperdal Tabs 0.5mg but after reading the possible side affects and all the other information, I am a bit worried. Has your child taken this drug and improved or benefited from it? I'd love for you to share your experiences and story with me if possible. Hoping this will really work but I am a bit anxious. Hope to hear from you! Take Care, Kimmys Mom.
Avatar m tn Thanks friend.Maybe I was lucky but I definetely had TD which was why chlorpromazine was discontinued and I did not need any antipsychotic till 3 months back.Thankfully I did not have any TD on Risperdal>Believe me Risperdal is worse than chlorpromazine. It makes a person agitated, nervous and renders a person an insomniac while taking it.I went through the worst and thankfully will be off it in 3 days.
Avatar m tn Zyprexa is an antipsychotic that is FDA approved as a mood stabilizer as well. Extreme anger and other mood changes can be part of mania which it should be treating as well.
Avatar n tn I am a 20 y/o female in relatively good health - I only have an issue w/ hypothyroidism. For probably the past year I have been noticing changes in my vision. It's a little bit hard to explain but here it goes. I have the sensation that I do not comprehend what I see with my right eye. I feel like whatever I am looking at I am only viewing with my left eye. If I cover my left eye & only look through my right eye, everything appears very "pixelated.
Avatar m tn I also had an extreme feeling of disconnect from my body and mind. After the panic subsided, I realized that the vision changes had not gone away. I quickly needed to leave. As I was driving home the cars in front of me and everything around me felt dream like. Nothing was as crisp as it used to be. I have problems reading because the letters on the page look like a confusing mess. crowded places are hard for me.
4083235 tn?1351032252 Hello! Just wondering if anyone has been Dx w/o having any notable vision changes? My doc is not wanting to Dx w/MS because I have not had any issues w/my vision (to date). Thanks for any input!
Avatar m tn l also have mild early stage glaucoma but he said that is going well and under control from the eye drops, He said l passed all the flashing light Peripheral vision tests well so l dont think the glaucoma is affecting my vision . When l am indoors my vision seems toally normal but outdoors on sunny days it seems slightly hazy or glarey and on overcast days or evenings my vision seems dimmer or lower constrast then it used to be before l had cataracts . Does that sound like cataract symptoms?
Avatar n tn I can think of no legitimate or appropriate reason for a 73 year old to be on risperdal. Risperdal is a "blacklisted drug" associated with many deaths. The geriatrics department at Johns Hopkins sponsored a seminar at Mount Sinai last year specifically dedicated to the inappropriateness of risperdal for the elderly patient. Long term use of risperdal will result in tardive dyskinesia, siezures, and degradation of sentience.
Avatar m tn s likely going through hormonal changes too. I have two sons, OMG, the hormones and moods! I would really suspect that her hormonal status is greatly impacting these tantrums and mood swings. I'm guessing that Risperdal will be mentioned to you which has been used. Let us know how the appointment goes!
280234 tn?1532986249 Hey all moms to be! I'm 28, & pregnant with my 2nd child. I was just wondering if any other pregnant moms have had changes in their vision during the pregnancy? I'm about 26 weeks, and have been having some visual changes since the first of my pregnancy. When I'm outside on a bright day or driving during the day, it looks like my peripheral vision is kind of strobing or wavy. Then all of my vision gets slightly wavy or strobing.
