Per prescription they are not used together. However there have been clinical trials using them together "off label" and they have been shown to be highly effective when used together. t really matter that much as far as timing just take per your prescribing information. I assume you are taking the divided dose of ribavirin at 12 hour intervals. Either take the Sovaldi at the same time or a different time of day are long as you maintain a 24 hour schedule on the Sovaldi once you have settled down on a preference you can slide the time over a couple of days if you don't like what you are doing initially.

So it comes down to your Geno type.
