1363867 tn?1277825361 Hi Kali, You are having allergic rhinitis, Try with nasal spray (such as Rhinocort aqua/Flixonase/Flomist), antihistamines (Cetrizine/Fexofenadine), saline nasal drops (to keep the nose moist) and drink plenty of water. Remember there is no cure for allergic problems. PREVENTION IS THE BEST TREATMENT. Do not sleep directly under the fan, everyday change the bed sheet before going to sleep, when ever you are exposed to just cover your nose with a clean handkerchief. Any doubts you are welcome.

895401 tn?1302792967 What I found works for me is getting a nasal steriod spray, like Rhinocort Aqua, Nasacort, etc., After I started using this at night it opened up my nasal areas ( which I did not realize were clogged), then I use the mouth inhealer in the mornings and that seems to work for me. Since I don't know your situation, please make sure that you don't stop using any medication and have a attack. You do know your body better than anyone, just be careful.
Avatar f tn I too suffer with awful post nasal drip and also gerd. I take zyrtec and Rhinocort Aqua, it is nasal spray and it does help. I have tried other nasal sprays but this one seems to work the best.
Avatar f tn I was the same.. went to the doctors and he gave me Rhinocort..a nasal spray that's safe in pregnancy. I've been using it at bed time and within a week I was all better. Not only do I sleep better and don't snore anymore but my nose is completely unblocked during the day also.
Avatar f tn Theres this nasal spray called rhinocort and its safe for pregnant women but u need a preacription for it. I feel a nasal spray is better bc its topical so it wont go through ur blood stream and it helps w sinus pain and congestion etc.
Avatar f tn It would be prudent to rule out Budesonide (Rhinocort) adverse effect as the cause of your symptoms. I suppose you are taking the nasal spray for allergic rhinitis. Has your ENT specialist examined the oral cavity to rule out any oral candidiasis? Apart from oro-pharyngeal candidiasis, Rhinocort has been shown to cause burning, itching in the oral mucosa and pharyngeal wall.
231441 tn?1333892766 I confirmed these meds as being safe with my OB. Pulmicort for the asthma and rhinocort for the nasal spray. My OB also suggested Sudafed and Benadryl is on the safe list. I only use them when I absolutely feel it's necessary but it's nice to know I do have some relief options.
Avatar m tn I am on steroid inhalers for asthma medication ( Advair, Rhinocort aqua nasal spray) and regularly take Claritin and Singulair. Does this delay Ab production? Thanks for your time on this.
Avatar m tn Well now for some odd 20 yrs, I have used OTC nose sprays. This came about from being very sick and was very clogged up. I have had a nose surgery from being told my problem was that my nasal passages were blocked by my nose cartilage. So laying awake on a surgical table the Doctor cut pushed and pulled bits of my cartilage out of my nose, believe me when I say that is an experience I do not wish to repeat.
579469 tn?1311705550 s absolutely no high when using nose spray. What you get is clear wide-open nasal passages. Nasal spray is a God-send when you have a bad cold or allergies and you can't breathe. The directions say only use 3-4 days or so. Beyond that you start to develop a physical addiction. This means that abrupt cessation results in your nasal passages swelling shut for up to 4 - 8 days or so with virtually no relief until they open back up naturally again, i.e.
Avatar f tn The doc gave me rhinocort nasal spray, antibiotics and clarinase, she also told me to do a CBC blood test! 1137036 tn?1263515995 Started on Prednisone 5mg 2 pills 2-3 times a day and Rhinocort budesonide nasal spray yesterday (2-64 mcg doses). Zyrtec during the day and Benedryl at night. No more PND, throat clearing or raw throat. Plus I got in an hour of exercise mall walking at the Emporium yesterday (best to stay indoors, avoid the smog). 5 days without a cigarette. I have 4 days more to go on the Levaquin. This has been a hell of an ordeal, starting a month ago Dec 15.
216239 tn?1233257361 I had a cold a couple months ago and the doctor prescribed nasonex (nasal spray)...it's also good for allergies, really helped with the congestion..
1017160 tn?1251503608 I hope I dont sound silly for asking this but I was shocked I had one. Im on an anitbiotic and nasal spray and so far its not working. Any input would be great. I just thought that this was weird.
1646392 tn?1333251893 I did some research last night after posting this and found out that Rhinocort AQ is nasal spraty steroid that is a category B, the only one. I am going to ask my doctor tomorrow for a script. I don't care if insurance doesn't even cover it, I will pay whatever for some relief. I will also ask about the 4 way spray as well too. Thanks for your help!
Avatar f tn Yes it it safe I had a cold and the doctors still recommend nasal spray for me!
Avatar f tn The only thing that allows me to breathe is a nasal spray equivalent to afrin. I used to be addicted yrs ago but now I only use it in dire emergency....like before eating or bed because I can't sleep if I can't breathe through my nose. In the past 3 days I've only used it at night and a couple other times during the day when it was really bad! I try to hold off as long as possible without using it. And I only use 1 or 2 sprays and usually only in 1 nostril.
Avatar f tn If it's,allergies you could take benadryl. That helps me when im sick and stuffy.
Avatar n tn I just read a terrifying article about pregnant women using nasal spray in their first 3 months of pregnancy. It said it cause heart and stomach defects. I used it off and on almost my entire first 6 weeks before I found out I was pregnant. Anybody else out there know anything?
Avatar n tn Hi all. Im a 29 year old female and I have been recommended to undergo FESS and septoplasty. I am wondering if this seems reasonable based on the information below? Or should I get a second opinion? I would like my symptoms gone and am relieved to have finally had an ENT take me seriously but the surgery seems like a big deal. Thanks! Frances.
168348 tn?1379357075 Thank you so much. A little history if I may, please .... Last summer I underwent an upper endoscopy, multiple biopsies, x-ray with barium, esophageal manometry, and was also prescribed Aciphex and then Nexium. The G.I. who presumed that I 'had difficulty swallowing' even after I insisted that I just keep 'spitting' finally determined that "your evaluation has been completly negative".
Avatar f tn The way I got rid of using nasal spray is to dilute the nasal spray 10% per week by using water or salt water. Continue use the diluted nasal spray, your nose will not noticed the difference. by the time (after 8 weeks) you get to 80% water, then you can cut it all off. There is a company sale this kind of diluted nasal spray solutions, but you can easily open the bottle and mix it with water yourself.
