I started taking PEP on august 4th. I take truvada norvir and reyataz. I went to get a rapid antibody hiv test today and was negative. Should I still be worried and stressed? I haven't slept much since this happened.
I recently started the Norvir, Reyataz, Truvada combo. This is my first time taking "the meds" after being hiv + for 20 years. I have been on them for only 11 days. I have weird side effects: headaches, queasy stomach, and fatigue/weakness. I told my doctor, and he said, to "tough it out for another week, and he'll see if he needs to change the combination, or switch meds.
As I was playing the centre in the game, my butt had a lot of touch with the competitors in the basketball game. My worry is like this: if someone is HIV infected among my competitors, and my butt touched his bleeding body(my hemorrhoids touched his bleeding body), will I get HIV through this way? Please help me, I am extremly worried.
More info on your problem will bring more informed responses. No drug works all the time, there are competitors, but it only works if your problem is the one it deals with. If you have a different problem, you need a different treatment.
4 I have a compromised immune system and am on truvada, norvir, and reyataz. I have been walking and watching my intakes... I do have a sweet tooth sometimes but otherwise I eat pretty healthy. any ideas?
However, there are no guarantees and I am guessing that some have a good amount of weight loss where others may only lose a few pounds. It also seems to be more user friendly than some of the competitors that have weight gain as a common problem. Hope this helps...

their 6months triial of myrcludex+standard care vs standard care only has started already so we will have data and results by 6 months only
myrcludex is also the first cure for hdv which has no other drugs so i think approval and marketing will be ultra fast in europe/russia
I was taking truvada norvir and reyataz. Where are you getting your info from? Like I said a few hiv counselers also told me that this is a myth. Pep hotline said its a myth too.
Please post your FT3, FT4 and TSH results with reference ranges. Your symptoms could be related to your FT3 and FT4 levels more than to generic vs. brand name.
My endo also thinks that brand name drugs are more consistent. I go along with him since it's a small point to concede. I've been on generic, Synthroid and Levoxyl at one time or another, and, quite frankly, I see no difference whatsoever. Different brands have different fillers, and sometimes these cause problems.
First question would be, what do the adult members of your family look like? That will establish your genetic predisposition. As for exercises, you can either tone your thighs, which might not make them any smaller but will make them more muscular, which would involve resistance exercises. To just get smaller, aerobics would be your best bet. But how's your diet?

Its scary im worried sick & cant concentrate on work or my studies. My muscles are twitching. I just hope these pills work (Truvada 200g & Reyataz 150g are the pills im taking once a day). There is a test you can do to judge whether Prilosec is affecting your bowels. There are about 4 or 5 competitors to Prilosec. Examples are Zantac, Prevacid, 15-mg; Pepcid 20-mg. You can try one of these substitutes and determine whether one or two tablets takes care of your acid problem. All of these medications were one time prescription medicines, so the OTC strength may not be as strong as Prilosec. I keep both of the substitutes handy in case of an emergency.
I have not seen a medication yet that didn't have a warning about "if you have liver disease consult your doctor" .
Advair has a small amount of steroid in it so it could be detrimental to someone with HCV/ liver disease. I remember some theories that steroids could "wake up" the HCV. People had HCV lay dormant for 20-30 years then after a bout of steroids for something not related to HCV they started to have the HCV symptoms shortly thereafter.
The culture of micro-organisms keep each other in check, if something like tapwater, vinegar or whatever kills off one or more sets, the remaining sets have a free hand and given the absence of competitors may grow out of control.
