m so happy to see this web site! I just started taking Norvir, Reyataz and Truvada. I was terribly reluctant to start on "the meds". However, I had to start, or deal with much less desirable options. Now I've come to realize that we are all very fortunate at this point, even when we are discussing diarrhea, weird dreams, and facial wasting, as opposed to, not being able to work, or walk, or live at all!

I started taking PEP on august 4th. I take truvada norvir and reyataz. I went to get a rapid antibody hiv test today and was negative. Should I still be worried and stressed? I haven't slept much since this happened.

I recently started the Norvir, Reyataz, Truvada combo. This is my first time taking "the meds" after being hiv + for 20 years. I have been on them for only 11 days. I have weird side effects: headaches, queasy stomach, and fatigue/weakness. I told my doctor, and he said, to "tough it out for another week, and he'll see if he needs to change the combination, or switch meds.

I was diagnosed with HIV in 2006, I was 26 years......I was at 129CD4 count.......When I started feeling sick I started treatment. I got all the way up to almost 500CD4 count....I was undetectable for 5 years until now docs were like wow! I went into the hospital back in Feb of this year for some kidney infection that the doctors was confounded about how I got and my CD4 was 2something and viral load 500+ AFTER 5 YEARS UNDETECTABLE!. Kidneys got clear & I left....

been positive since 1988, maybe even earlier, didnt start on meds till 2007. Norvir, truvada and reyataz are my friends. My cd4 is 700 and viral load is undetectable. very fortunate to have meds at my disposal. I would advise folks who are positice,please take your meds.

4 I have a compromised immune system and am on truvada, norvir, and reyataz. I have been walking and watching my intakes... I do have a sweet tooth sometimes but otherwise I eat pretty healthy. any ideas?

In a drug safety communication, the agency warned that there are important drug interactions between boceprevir (Victrelis) and anti-HIV protease inhibitors boosted with ritonavir (Norvir). Boceprevir, approved last year, is a novel direct-acting agent targeting the NS3/4A protease of hepatitis C. It's taken with ribavirin and pegylated interferon-alfa to treat genotype 1 disease.

I was taking truvada norvir and reyataz. Where are you getting your info from? Like I said a few hiv counselers also told me that this is a myth. Pep hotline said its a myth too.

What is your doctor thinking? Is this an HIV Specialist? Are you multi drug resistant? You say your combo is Combivir : which is AZT and 3TC Truvada : which is Viread and Emtriva (which is almost identical to 3TC and should not be taken together) Viread : which is already in the Truvada! Prezista : which is a PI that MUST be taken with Norvir which you aren't on!

Of those you mentioned, jaundice, stomach pain, nausea and loss of appetite are fairly common side-effects of Reyataz. Changes in the liver caused by ARV medication is often over a long-period of time and happens gradually - so short of something I've listed as an unusual side-effect affecting the liver there's no immediate urgency. That said...

Why was I able to take such a low dose of the first cocktail? Can I do the equivalent of Invirase without the norvir booster? What about going off meds all together and just monitor? Thanks for any imput. My doc just isnt interested in anyone that takes interest in their own health.

PEP. So I was placed on Prezista, Truvada, and Norvir and developed a rash from it that my MD says is from the medication. I of course freaked out thinking it was an ARS symptom so he changed my regimen to Combivir and Insentress. He initially wanted me to wait three days to restart (I have been on the previous combo since Jan 17th, so a little over a week).

Im taking a combination of norvia, truvada and prezista and im about to got crazy.

Also let me add that I doubt that I built a resistance to any meds because before taking Biktarvy I was on Truvada, Norvir and Reyataz. My new doctor put me on Biktarvy this year in March (my viral load was 140 at the time) and within a month's time it became undetectable.

I know odds are 0.3% but that doesnt settle my fears, i am young and want to live a happy healthy life with KIDS! DR. please tell me if you have honstly heard of any cases like mine that have converted. I am in awe and feel like my life is totally over and ruined.

Handsfield, I have started with antiretroviral therapy in April this year after my cd4+ further declined to 480 and viral load remained very high at 800,000 even after 6 months after exposure. I am currently on combination of Truvada, Prezista and Norvir which I take regularly every 24 hours. I feel much better than before meds, from time to time I have soar throat, nothing serious though. I didnt notice any significant side effects except temporary diarrhoea.

I went to the doctor and they tested me. I was negative. They gave me some medicine called truvada norvir and reyataz.They told me to come back August 28. The woman also told me she was undetectable and said her viral load is extremely low. I went with her to her doctor and her doctor did confirm that. What are the chances I have it? in 2 to 3 days after I started taking the hiv medication cocktail !! (symptoms I had for years and years and wich became worse and worse over the years) The medication was a cocktail of Isentress,Norvir,prezista and Intellence. The reason of this treatment was an unsafe sexual contact, so I went to the University Clinic where they gave me this treatment for 1 month as a precaution/prevention of a possible hiv infection. After this one month treatment was finished ,all of my symptoms came back.

I received PEP and took it for one month strictly(although a norvir tablet was left outside where its gelatin cover went mushy but nothing came out - i took it) I have had two 4th generation DUO tests(ag/ab) which both came back negative 2 weeks post-PEP and 3 months post-PEP.

I slept with someone from a very high infection rate and who was a CSW but I used protection and mine was also for around 2 minutes. I was told PEP and even testing not necessary and that I could go on having unportected sex with my girlfriend.

* Halcion, Versed, Valium, Xanax and quazepam * Norvir * Zoloft and Lustral * Statins such as Lipitor, Mevacor, Zocor, Simlup, Simcor, Simvacor, with the exception of Pravachol. Lescol and Crestor which are unaffected by grapefruit.

The other meds are TMC647055,IDX 06a005, and Norvir I posted these meds before but no one else commented on these. Thanks again I'll try these suggestions and let you know.
