I was also in Europe once and had to call in as I was having a rip roaring AFib event. I packed the extra meds so I was able to take the right amount when instructed by my EP when I phoned him Europe. Upon my return from my trip, I was back in his office for medication adjustment. The pill in the pocket is not the standard way to treat AFib but only a way to help you through the event. You need to follow up with the EP as the current meds you are taking may not be doing the trick.
