Common Questions and Answers about Reversal of lovenox with protamine

lovenox

Avatar m tn It has never converted for one minute since the flutter has started. Then I take shots of Lovenox two days before and 2 to 3 days afterwards the ablation. Is this what others have done? I am really scared having gone on this long, as the bottom part of my heart is just scar tissue from previous ht. attacks. Just want to get it over with. Anyone? Please let me know about the Protime and Lovenox bit, as it worries me! Thanks everyone!
Avatar n tn m just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.
Avatar f tn I don't think the lovenox would cause any of that, since it's just a blood thinner. The symptoms you're describing are most likely caused by hormones, but 3dpo is probably a bit early for pregnancy symptoms. Were you on any fertility meds this month?
Avatar n tn Hi, I had a reversal done and it cost me somewhere around $10,000 for the surgery. I live in Northern Louisiana, so I'm not sure what it would run where you live. I am now 13 weeks 4 days pregnant though. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.
Avatar n tn are there any explnations for high hcg levels and not seeing anything above discriminatory levels? does it ever happen and have a successful outcome? can lovenox have anything to do with the subch hemm? i am now back on the lovenox and have hcg tomorrow and repeat us next week. all us were tvus.
Avatar n tn Anyone taking Lovenox? Im 9 weeks and between the lovenox and the prenat vit I feel groggy all the time..just wondering if lovenox makes you feel bad..
Avatar n tn Did they happen to give protamine sulfate to reverse the heparin afterwards? If so, are you diabetic? Or how about the local anesthetic? Did they use procaine? Or how about the contrast dye used for imaging? Latex allergy? And next time, you can ask them to give corticosteroids beforehand, instead of the antihistamine, to try and lessen the reaction.
Avatar f tn I am 13 days post ablation.I was prescribed Lovenox post ablation also Coumadin. After 8 days on Lovenox I was told to stop using it as my INR was 3.8. My Lovenox prescription was for 12 days. Now just on Coumadin 5mg daily and INR has come down to 3. If you cannot tolerate Coumadin you may be "stuck" with Lovenox because of it's ability as an anticoagulant.
Avatar f tn Get one of those bracelets made up with the disorder written on it and in case of an emergency everyone will know to take added precautions. You would have to discuss with your ob wether or not vbac or another c section is indicated. Which ever you have I'm hopeful you will have a good out come. Let your family take good care of you for a while. You will need all your rest with two precious kids to look after.
Avatar n tn 1) Have you ever heard of lovenox injections to prevent further clots in stents and 2) what are the risks from lovenox to her relatively healthy kidneys (after 30+ yrs of diabetes)? Thank you for your good advice. You were the only Dr. who said E.R.
645220 tn?1233764146 Heather, the air thing is not actually a big deal. Whether it's at the beginning or end isn't going to make a whole lot of difference in the end. And as I was saying before, the only risk with removing it is of losing d=some of the medication but I can't see how anyone who's being the slightest bit careful would lose more than the teeniest drop.
1414636 tn?1288284680 I've used lovenox with my last pregnancy and with this pregnancy due to a blood clotting disorder. Lovenox is perfectly safe. does not cross the placenta but thins the blood just enough and very evenly to prevent blood clots. there are no side effects except maybe I bruised slightly easier.
270512 tn?1333177636 just out of curiosity.... anyone use Lovenox with their ivf/fet cycle? And if so, when did you start the injections? My ER wants me to start the injections around O date (we are doing FET cycle). My question is.... wouldn't it be better to start sooner??? Wouldn't blood clots have already formed in the uterine lining by then? Or does the lining start to grow around O date? (I know I know... you would think I would know that part being a 4th time IVF/FET patient...
873190 tn?1304812975 My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.
Avatar f tn I am pregnant. Well 9 weeks to be exact. I am on lovenox because of blood clot. How about you? and how do you feel?
Avatar n tn Not me personally, but my sister-in-law had to be on lovanox shots the entire time during all of her pregnancies. She had issues with clotting; only when she was pregnant though, and was also higher risk due to age (between 36-40 years old for her pregnancies). She managed to have 2 successful pregnancies and only 1 miscarriage.
287479 tn?1272730364 but it eventually happened for both of them and I think the one was on lovenox. So it will happen it just takes time and sometimes alot of heartache later!!!
Avatar f tn Anyone on Lovenox... Will the burning ever go away? Any advice of where to do the injections. My love handles are so soar and its only been a week.
513660 tn?1217171919 Any one out there feel differently? I am thinking of requesting Lovenox in addition to aspirin for next round. Any benefits or harm? How do you all feel? Thanks!
Avatar m tn With my last son I took lovenox for blood clots that I had with my first son (m/c in between) and then I was switched to heparin in the last 10 weeks. I am not sure if they are going to have to take it this pregnancy but it didn't hurt to take it. Better to be safe!
Avatar f tn I also asked him if I can just up the dose of Lovenox instead of taking aspirin. He said the mechanisms of both medicine are different. One does not replace the other. So he prefers me keep taking it if my stomach can take it. I wonder what he will suggest next appointment. The baby aspirin I am taking is coated 81mg. I rarely had stomach problems before this pregnancy. And I always took the aspirin with a meal. I don't know why my stomach is so sensitive to aspirin.
Avatar f tn Well I'm not sure why this Dr. said it wasn't reversable--they are. You have to find a surgeon that is trained in JUST this field. I had a reversal performed, but I only went to the BEST. Make sure their excellent or don't let them touch your tubes! I now have 6in (Right) 3 1/2in (Left). Please be aware that this is not a quick solution. All things have to be considered. How much tube you have left will greatly affect how long it takes you to get pregnant. Are you with only 1 tube.
Avatar f tn I had my reversal done 13 years ago, we TTC for about 5 years with the help of injectables but never got a BFP, My progesterone was always way low, so they blamed it on that and not my tube being blocked, So after alot of tears and alot of money we gave up and just said if it was meant to happen then it would, On Jan 1st 2008 I went to the ER with heavey bleeding and was told I m/c, I was shocked that I was pregnant, Then one year later I got my BFP and gave birth to my son on Aug 5th 2009, 10 d
Avatar f tn Truthfully I dont see any problems with your numbers.
