restasis how to use

If I add other types of eye drops that help with inflammation to my regiment will that further reduce the level of inflammation? Or is there a limit to how much the inflammation can be reduced?

does anyone have any ideas how to relieve this, preferably a natural way i dont want to take anymore prescription meds haha ..... i am wearing sunglasses over my glasses outside right now and it is still bad...

I dont know honestly I use saline mostly but then I wear contacts and have to stick to things that work with them. I just can't believe they'd put alcohol in things you put in your eyes!

Get in to see the glaucoma specialist. Also read about Restasis, it takes about 6 months to start to work so its easy to get discouraged. Also often stings and burns for a couple of weeks. However if you have dry inflamed eyes its great.

Hi, I was wondering what you have been using for dry eye before he changed you to restasis? Did he do any test to see how sevier your dry eye is? I was considering asking about restasis, did he say it is safe or if there is any side effects with it? I'm glad he didn't find any of the other problems you mentioned.

Use the search feature and archives to read the many posts about healing and recovery with Crystalens and other premium IOLs. If your vision is clear with glasses it not likely a problem however if not clear with glasses it may be a problem. Consider a second opinion.

I'm on restasis, my wife is on restasis, I use restasis in my practice. the medicine does not cause floaters. Floaters can occur at any time. If they start and you are doing something else like mowing the yard, reading a book or starting restasis the relationship is COINCIDENTAL. On the other hand if you are hit in the eye with a fist and note floaters the relationship is CAUSATIVE.

t you also have to use these drops post-cataract surgery? Did they help you? I would stop using the Restasis if after a month it's not helping.

Is that the case, do I have to stay on it. I was hoping that once my eye is feeling better, I could just use artificial tears to keep my eyes from drying so badly. He also changed my contact lenses to Acuvue Oasys. Any advice or info would be great.............................

Steroid drops are not a problem, in fact I often put the patient on steroid drops when they start restasis to reduce stinging/burning. Use the steroids about 2-3 weeks. Good luck. Be patient. Restasis is a wonderful medication. My wife has been on it about 3 years with wonderful results.

I prescribe Restasis and I use Restasis. I am not familiar with a blue vial holder. I Googled the term and nothing comes up so I don't know anything about it.

Some contacts work better than others with dry eyes. You might try switching to a different type/brand. Everyone's different, but 1-day Acuvue moist lenses worked well for me.

I will be making an appointment this week. I am thinking I have become allergic to Restasis. Do you have itchy eyes? And how long did you use it before noticing problems? Please post if you learn more about this.

Will this mask help decrease the number of times that I have to use lubricating eye drops for contacts (which is 4 to 6 times a day) ? I also use a lubricating eye gel at night.

t seem to matter what/how much I use before bed, I am always getting up in the middle of the night with severly dry eyes and putting more eyedrops in. Sometimes I can barely open and close my eyes they're so dry! This is uncomfortable and I can't imagine it's very healthy for my eyes. any suggestions? I've seen an eye doctor who just said use eyedrops more often, but that doesn't seem very practical at night.

Should I try plugs 1st and if not successful, then go back to Restasis? 3. In reading about Restasis, are there future bad side effects in continued use such as cancer? I am starting to question if I should get another opinion. Thank you for any suggestions that you may have.

office finally called me back and said it was ok and not to worry. She did not know, though, if I should use the drops in the PM or skip. So, I'm just going to skip and start again in the morning.

fish oil (if not allergic to it) flaxseed oil....evening primrose oil...take 1 or 2 capsules a day...It can be either Omega 3..6..or 9 all the Omegas work well i have found... Worth a try...and remember i takes a while to start working....Good Luck....

I have to wear contacts, Im a very active person and its annoying to always have to wear my glasses. Oh, and by the way, I took Accutane a few years ago, maybe thats what caused it? Because I don't remember any problems before that. The doctor says no, though, cause it had to have gone away.

a relative went thru lens operation that failed (eventually it was removed) , her eyes are very dry and she supers acute pain. any ideas how to solve the dryness / reduce the pain?

ve recently posted that I just recently started Restasis, but my question is will the red eyes start getting better as the Restasis starts to work. Does dry eyes cause them to be red.......... I mean they are not horribly red, but are somewhat irritated. Will my eyes be like this always or will they get better eventually. My eye Dr. said they're not too bad, but I know that this is not they way they were before.

My Eye Doctor suggested I keep Restasis in the fridge to make more comfortable and reduce the burning and to keep using ir for 2 days. Does Restasis lose its effectiveness when placed in the fridge. Also when are results typically seen? I have a TBUT of 5 and hoping to see an increase if ues consistently.

My permanent plugs have fallen out and even though I dont feel I am experiencing the same high level of discomfort in my eyes due to month long use of restasis, contacts are almost impossible to have in my eyes. I wear proclear dailies which are thinnest and most comfortable on market. Any other advise?
