rehab

Avatar f tn Suffering from an addiction this site could be help you. They are providing treatment for those who are addicted to the drugs.
Avatar m tn hi.. don't worry that drug abuse treatment is very costly. many drug rehab centers are available to treat you against Drug addiction. Please have patience and try to quit it because its good for your health.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure I have a great answer for you. I've done detox in-patient, but not a rehab program. What I know from doing AA and NA, is that it often becomes present all throughout people's lives. It can resemble a 'cult' sometimes. But that's actually part of why it can be so effective. Regardless, getting clean and a person motivated to preserve and sustain their sobriety will often also mean major changes throughout their life.
Avatar f tn You have to not worry about that right now and get yourself together. What you did is a serious crime, and I would get my butt in some kind of program, NA, AA, Rehab center....something. The wrong jugde and you can be in deep doo doo. There is some really good advice.....Please take it. I wish you the best & please keep posting and reading here. There is a lot of good advice and support. luv, Nauty..........
Avatar f tn The detox/rehab will likely set him up with an aftercare program. Some will have them continue on an outpatient program. Some may recommend NA or AA where he can get a sponsor who will help him through any rough spots. Your son is going to have to earn your trust back. Addiction is a disease that has a high relapse rate. He has to want to stay clean and stick with the aftercare.
Avatar f tn its the reformers unanimous womens home....its a christian based program. im sooo nervous but excited. has anyone ever been to rehab? any advice? i hope they take care of me when im in there. when i took my subs and stuff and just detoxed at my house, i was in control and if i didnt feel up to doing anything i could just lay in bed. i dont know maybe this will be good for me.its a 6 month program...and i dont wanna be in there the whole time because ill totally miss out on my summer.
Avatar n tn My daughter is in rehab for pills addiction. I will be able to visit her in another month. She says she will be there for a total of 6 months. She has no money, no belongings, nothing. All was lost when she was forced to go to rehab. My question is: What can I expect when she is released? She says she will have to live on the streets if I don't help her. I tried to help her by paying her rent and giving her spending money but she spent it all on drugs was was evicted.
Avatar m tn Then there are people who get clean without using Sub. If you can get into a residential treatment program and give yourself time to detox with the help of NA it might be enough for you. It depends on how bad you want it and the coping skills you have developed while in treatment. In any event I wish you the best of luck..
Avatar m tn //www.bellwood.ca/drug-addiction/ ) but I don’t know how to convince my father for the recovery program. I really wanted my old father who used to had fun with us.
Avatar m tn You need to go to your county of residence outpatient alcohol/drug abuse clinic. They can help you find a good detox program plus do some follow-up treatment. If you keep this up your wife and your children will be the recipients of additional damage, more than what they've already witnessed. You are young!Stop this now before it stops you!
Avatar f tn Suboxen really should be a short term solution which explains the taper program in rehab. Maybe you could go with her and hear what the Dr. has to say. Sounds like she is headed in the right direction. Hope you can get answers to keep it going. Wish I could give you a better answer. Just dig in and educate yourself on the suboxen program, it is hard to get off of as well. Best of luck and God Bless.
1700527 tn?1307366486 if the detox has a residential program attached to go to afterward maybe think about doing that. they will teach you the skills needed to live a clean and sober life. don't freak out about how long the residential program is for ('omg 9 months! nooooo! i can't!'), you don't have to stay the whole time if you don't want to ya know. :) but suggest giving it a try, it will be time well spent for you. good luck!
Avatar n tn Thank you all for responding. I can't believe there's nothing we can do. Last night she cut her wrists & was admitted to the hospital. She's drinking & on drugs & we can do nothing because she's 18. She needs to be in a rehab program inpatient but it seems that she cannot be forced. Thank you again.
Avatar m tn I have a son in jail for drug addiction and we are going to court on monday, his girlfriend which is also addicted, and him tried to kill us just before christmas and both of them were arrested, my son was kept in jail for he did not comply with his parole rules, girlfriend was released, their 5 year old daughter Kelly was placed in our care and we are now trying to get custody of her until both of them are clean and has sorted their lives out.
Avatar f tn I had an addiction to Lortab (after several surgeries very close together) for over a year. I went to a medical detox facility because I was advised to stay away from the subutext/suboxin facilities (which when I got in there seemed to be good advice from so many relapsed from those programs).
7540527 tn?1401187758 Outpatient can be very helpful to many. Its definitely worth a try. I went that route before and picked up some great tools. I did relapse after but I was still young and not ready for recovery. Like I said...I learned a lot and had I been ready to stay clean....who knows. In terms of the statistics of meth relapse...dont get too caught up in the numbers. As long as you do what you need to do to take care of you and seek some sort of treatment...
Avatar n tn Enjoy that all you have to do is to relax and learn the foundations of sobriety. If you choose not to go to a residential rehab (and i would if i were you, knowing what I know about appreciating the comforts of staying at an Inn, basically) then there are fine day treatment programs, sometimes available for women only, should you prefer. You can get treatment from a facility by the hour, or do what many have done at home (and succeeded) and manage with NA support.
Avatar n tn I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.
Avatar n tn You stated that he went to jail for possession of drug paraphernalia, not drugs. Most, like my son did, go to rehab to avoid more jail time. And resume their old habits once they are 'clean' from rehab. Someone has to 'want' to be free from an addiction without playing games. It's his choice, sorry to say, not yours.
Avatar f tn All we know is this will be for 3-5 days, then he can be in their rehab program, which is only a day program. Doesn't seem like enough to us. We're trying to research long-term facilities. My ex has good insurance, thank God. Son has been using drugs and drinking since he was in high school but I was stunned to learn of his heroin use. He had a friend who was declared dead from a heroin od about 6 months ago, and son talked about this to us - told us heroin was bad stuff.
Avatar n tn Suboxone definitely helps but I almost feel like I traded one drug for another drug!! Call around and c about rehab or a program if u think u cant stop cold turkey!
Avatar f tn I would try to go the detox/rehab route because of the combination of the drugs and alcohol. A focused intervention with a drug counselor could be set up with a trip to detox immediately. Look in your phone book for drug/alcohol assistance. It is usually in the front pages in a special services section. She is in heavy denial and needs to be approached with a worked out strategic plan. Good Luck. Ask for lots of help.
Avatar n tn What changed my life, and my alcohol addiction was 30 days in a dual diagnosis, residential treatment program. At the end of my stay I got the Vivitrol shot. I am only 40 days sober but I don't even think about drinking.
Avatar n tn This behaviour is almost certain from using drugs (crack) Once addicted to this drug, you will stop at nothing to keep feeding this addiction. The problem is we have to want to quit ourselves and even then quitting crack is still next to impossible. I hate to say this, but if something is not done it is almost certain he will continue using as crack is a monster to beat without any help. I was around this drug a lot. I did not smoke it (just once), but did a lot of cocaine.
Avatar m tn Okay, I dont want to go into a long story of my drug history so I will make it short. Started experimenting with bud when i was about 14, then progressed to cocaine and meth. But my DOC ended up being opiates by the time I was 18. By the time I was 20, I was in a methadone program. After about two years in the program I developed an addiction to benzo's as well. Eventually I was basically forced to quit methadone and go off cold turkey, I went from 100mg to 60 and then went CT from there.
Avatar m tn m not certain where you live but in your situation I would recommend an inpatient detox and rehab program. The reason is you show high enthusiasm and readiness to address your addiction head on and because it is placing stress on your family, an inpatient program can provide you a safe environment in which to detox, learn new coping strategies and get established with aftercare. The inpatient programs are highly recommended for people with minimal suppot.
Avatar n tn i voluntarily put myself into an 18 month drug rehab in 1993. i was about to lose my kids. i had to do something. they made me detox for 3 days prior in a hospital. it was a really good program. they helped anyone with drivers license problems, fines, court ****, etc. i was able to take nursing classes. they help ed me find a job, save money, and have a place to live so that i slowly re-entered the "normal" world.
