Avatar m tn If it is severe and asymptomatic with dilated RV, there is increasing evidence that it should be fixed earlier before RV dysfunction commences as the results are poor once RV failure occurs. We have quite a bit of experience in TV repair. If you are in the New York Area we would be happy to see the patient at Mount Sinai to render our opinion. Best Regards, Dr.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have used salicylic acid face wash heavily along with Benzoyl Peroxide, my skin type is really sensitive. My under eyes have gonna really red and burt and left me with deep wrinkles when smiling, one of the eyes have completely recovered as it didn't have much deep wrinkles, although the other eye looks really wrinkly and the wrinkles look deep, I am only 21 and my skin was like baby's skin, didn't have any wrinkles before the bp use.
Avatar f tn His RV gradient in August of 2010 was 15 mm and his RV pressure was 25-30. In November of 2010, his RV gradient was 30 mm and his RV pressure was 35-40. Is it possible his body has a sensitivity that will create the homograft to fail again within a 1 year time frame?
Avatar m tn TAPSE 24mm, my RVSP was 25mmHg (TR 2.27m/s) Photo is here: http://www.medhelp.

Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 52 year old female with two previous open heart surgeries - the last was an aortic valve replacement/aneurysm repair in 1999. I have a bicuspid valve and am 4'11"/100 pounds. Last year a CT scan showed an ascending aortic aneurysm of 4.5 cm. I also have aneurysms of the brachiocephalic artery (it measured 2.6 last year) and at the origin of the left common carotid artery. (1.6 cm.) What is the significance of the aneurysms in the two arteries?
Avatar n tn For a perspective blood flow through the defect from the left ventricle (LV) to the right ventricle (RV) results in oxygenated blood entering the pulmonary artery (PA). This extra blood in addition to the normal pulmonary flow increases blood flow to the lungs and subsequently increases pulmonary venous return into the left atrium (LA) and ultimately into the LV. This increased LV volume results in LV dilatation and then hypertrophy.
Avatar m tn My wife has a complex cardiac history, she was born with anomalous origin of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery, complicated by myocardial infarct. She had two surgeries in her early teens to correct this following a series of VF/heart attacks. During the 2nd op, a bypass was grafted. She was asymptomatic for 13 years following that, but awoke one morning with arrhythmia which has persisted since - a further 13 years. For this she takes beta blockers.
Avatar n tn It is also important to understand that the skin has its own repair mechanism and gradually the repair would bring significant change. At the same time, medications have their limitations and there is a limit to which they can benefit. Hope this helped you in some way. Let us know if you may have any other questions.
Avatar f tn Oh how I wish my heart was misfiring in the RV outflow tract, which is far more common and a much easier place to work in. Through some internet sleuthing, I have discovered what is called the "Gentle Touch" ablation approach, which moves the smaller, more flexible catheters by magnets rather than my hand. It supposed it much more accurate and easier on the patient, and is also better for working in more difficult places in the heart.
Avatar f tn 48mmHg; Normal LV size and LVEF=57%; Left atrial minor axis: 5.5cm, The mitral valve leaflets appear thickened, but open well, not calcified based TEE by the cardiologist. Question: 1. Is the "Percutaneous Mitral Balloon Valvotomy 1st choice for the MS patient if the patient is a good candidate? 2. Does open commissurotomy have a better post operative outcome when compared to the Percutaneous mitral balloon valvotomy? 3.
Avatar f tn Our family moved when I was in 6th grade to a house with a lot of old wallpaper. It was shabby already and going to be removed over the next couple of years, so we kids peeled it absentmindedly where there was already a start, especially near our beds or by the telephone. Have you never peeled the nail polish off your toenails in a bored moment? Anyway, cut him a little slack.

8379527 tn?1397863810 I'm 19 weeks pregnant and was using wallpaper stripper the other day , anyone know how harmful it is ?
Avatar m tn Okay, so after a lot of research I have found NO explanation of this but I have come to a conclusion of my own. I have wrinkles in my scalp. Much more noticeable with buzzed or very SHORT hair. Started throughout my SECOND growth spurt (@ 17) and have been there ever since. Most people that have this same issue had it begin around the same time between age 16 and 20.
Avatar f tn I have been on O2 for the past 5 years for hypoxemia with no known cause. My O2 levels were normally ranging from 80-97% on 2 liters. Over the past month, my O2 levels have dropped yet again and were hitting as low as the low 70s and now to keep my O2s back up at least to 80-97% my O2 has been increased to 3 liters. My pulmonologist referred me to a cardiologist for some testing to rule out any heart related issues (we had ruled out anything else).
Avatar n tn How are you? Here are some tips on wrinkle prevention and anti wrinkle products reviewed from this link: http://www.wrinklereview.com/prevention.html Do not smoke because smoking exposes your skin to all those damaging free radicals. Stay out of the sun as much as possible, especially during the "danger hours" when UV light is at its peak (10 am to 4 pm). Always wear sunscreen on your face when going outside in the sunlight.
474119 tn?1273841478 Hi all, My cat is 7months old now, she is VERY active. She eats plenty (including spiders and the like....oh and she sometimes thinks wallpaper taste's nice too, tee hee) and drinks plenty but doesnt seem to be gettin any bigger. She seems so skinny and small for her age, compared to her sister (My sister has my cats sister). Should i be concerned? She seems healthy enough, shiny coat and eyes......sharp claws....of which i have the scrathes to show for them. She just seems so small.
Avatar n tn My TLC is high (129% of predicted) and RV is very high as well (143%) but my RV/TLC ratio is within normal limits. (111% of predicted) ...would this still support a diagnosis of air trapping? Also my FRC and TLC are both high, but my FRC/TLC ratio is within normal limits. would this still support their diagnosis of hyperinflation? Is it possible that i just have abnormally giant lungs for my age and height? my FEV1/FVC is normal 83.52% or 102% of predicted.
Avatar m tn Thus the RV/TLC ratio also increases, above the upper limit of 35% at an early age. While an increase in RV/TLC may be one of the first signs of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and, as previously stated, an increase in the ratio may just be a function of age. This is all "academic" as your spirometry confirms that you have excellent lung function with good pulmonary reserve. Your doctor is right to not "seem worried" and you have no reason to worry.
8628831 tn?1407267564 I painted letters for her name and did a real cute project on pinterest.. I got a wood picture frame, took the glass and everything out then painted it to match her letters. After it dried I bought some cute wide ribbon and put strips of it where the grass used to be then put little hooks along the bottom of the frame. Now I can hang her headbands and hats and clip her hairbows on the ribbon!
