Avatar n tn He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. We really want to find a home where he can be among people with the same rehabilitation challenges. It would be ideal if the home offered psychologist and a physical therapist; however, even if the home had one or the other it would be better than his situation right now. He just sits at home doing nothing.

Avatar m tn Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this. Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.
Avatar f tn Today I had an appointment with Psychologist. She was very nice lady, young and I think very knowleagleble. Not for a minute (my session was suposed to last an hour and it lasted hour and half) I had feeling that she was rushing me. I basically told her what I am finding depressing and I have anxiety about. It all stems from when I retired and all of a sudden I had too much time on my hands and I no longer felt useful.
Avatar f tn Who knows of a good psychologist/psychiatrist for anxiety and panic attacks in Los angeles, ca? Preferably in the san fernando valley area. Thank you.

"As she tried to run away, the suspect grabbed her and hit her in the face," court records say in describing what she told police. "She lost consciousness and then when she awoke she found her pants and underwear pulled down to her ankles.
Avatar f tn Proper assessment of cognitive loss, areas of brain injured and other memory related issues will need to be done. Please consult a nero-psychologist. There are tests like MRI, memory assessment tests and IQ tests which can be done. With proper rehabilitation there will be marked improvement. Take care!
1508698 tn?1360215710 Hi all!! I am looking into going to a outpatient rehabilitation center. I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone, what all it included, if you liked it, and the price. Just wanted some input from people who have gone so I will know what to expect.
Avatar f tn All of these are issues but not sure what are the biggest concerns when it comes to getting the additional days in rehabilitation approved.
Avatar n tn I just made arrangements for my first ppointment with a psychologist yesterday and insurance was a big portion of the conversation. I have United healthcare and this is how it works in my plan...there are two types of mental health coverages. One is biologically-based mental health care. This is covered just like any other physician visit and there are no limitations to the number of visits or treatment, just my regular $15.00 per visit co-pay.
Avatar n tn I do not have health insurance or very much money, but need to talk to someone very soon. How much does it cost to talk to a psychologist or a psychiatrist and what is the difference between the two? Are there any services to help out with the cost?
Avatar n tn Okay so I'm 14 and my first visit with a psychologist is next week. I'm really scared.. I just want to know what's going to happen. I don't fair well with needles. Will they need to do any blood work? I also feel like people's view of me is going to go way down. It makes sense.. Because, here, everyone is so judgemental that even my fear of heaven makes me a retard. I don't like this school but I have to be here to stay alive.. I'm threatened only by myself into this.
Avatar m tn you need rehabilitation in any brain surgey, come again and we will set an appointment. The next time she said:rehabilitation is done only when she cant move a leg or arm. I am aware of the neuropsyhiatry and the test and everything. I want to make sure she gets the right treatment and doesnt waste these 6 months. Thats why I am asking her so I can make the deference between truth and real. I am looking around until I find the doctor that gives me the correct questions.
Avatar f tn The answer could go from complete rest to modification of activities and rehabilitation or just rehabilitation. If the tear isn't complete and isn't restricting your activities, rehabilitation is typically a great way to recover from an injury. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Avatar f tn I have been suffering from severe panic attacks for the last 4 weeks..due in part to having an Atrial Fibrillation Attack and now dealing with the possibility of it happening again. I started seeing a Psychologist two weeks ago. So far..I was told to get the book "Feeling Good" David Burns and I was taught a relaxation method. I feel like I really could benefit in taking a medicine to control the panic attacks until I have had more time in therapy.
Avatar n tn that you should see another therapist, preferably a psychologist. I would select avoiding those who specialize in areas that do not apply to you (family therapy, marriage counseling, etc.). You should also be evaluated by a psychiatrist.
Avatar n tn i am suffering from pre schizoprenia but according to my psychiatrist it is treatable so he gave me medication and it is efective but the problem is the medication is expensive that is why i want to shift from a psychiatrist to a psychologist. i consulted a psychologist and she tells me that she can handle my situation but what she can only do is counseling and psychotherapy, she can't dispense medication. do you think psychologist will help me?
Avatar m tn Now i wanted to know the difference between psychiatrist and a psychologist. Medication is not an option for me i just dont like to put chemicals into my body. i just need someone to talk and comfort me that i dont have anything serious physically wrong with me and im just suffering from anxiety as i tend to worry about having a serious disease all the time. I have also been symptoms free recently except having a constant Derealization and Depersonalization.
