I would suggest that for a lot of inmates of all/any race, the health care provided within the prison system is better than what they've received on the outside simply because upon entering prison, a medical check up is mandatory. Things are often found at this point in time and can be addressed.

I work in a nursing home that house the incarcerated. So I understand why I was asked to change. Mind you I wore the same shirt a month ago and no one said anything to me about it then. I was also much smaller then. Later in my shift a co-worker pointed out in front of the residents how fat I was getting. (She used the word fat).

He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. We really want to find a home where he can be among people with the same rehabilitation challenges.
