3149845 tn?1506627771 I wonder what the statistics are for those that go through the short term "jail" system, before they end up in the long term "prison" system... Perhaps rehabilitation should start at the jail level, in hopes that most wouldn't make it to the prison level, but of course, it should continue into the prisons.
Avatar m tn It is tough because you have so many people in prison and you have to balance that with expense. It would be good to do actual rehabilitation with inmates but the cost would be more then anyone could take.
Avatar m tn Take away all knives and anyone can make a shank in a couple of hours with only a piece of metal or sturdy plastic. (In prison, they melt down plastic forks and spoons in order to make them, so now plastic comes into play.) As for the charge for this a$$ hat? I don't get it either. Is prison the answer? Well, its that or a mental institution and in hopes of rehabilitation.... can that even happen? Can you rehabilitate people like this?

Avatar n tn I have tried to ween off and can deal with the dysenteria, ringing in my ears, flu-like symptoms, but I can not deal with my leggs wanting to run with me and that overwhelming anxious feeling. How long does it generally take at the rate I am taking to be off these demon drugs. Thank you so much. To all of you battleing the same problem, my prayers are with you.
Avatar m tn I would venture to guess many of these are done while in prison with unsterile items. I wonder if anyone knew the stats of what the percentage of people in prison who have HepC is? Do they even test inmates for HepC? It's just that I don't think they know what it can can do to them. Is HepC treatment readily available to them?
Avatar f tn I have never seen an individual come out of a prison in any better shape than when they went in. And I do have personal experience here. There is as much dope inside the walls as on the streets. And the environment is very conducive to using. Little rehabilitation , if any, is afforded. I am afraid that you are in for a long fight if you choose to remain with him. There is hope that he can change. But he is he one that has to make that decision. Doesnt sound like he wants to quit.

Avatar m tn I do worry that you are attached to a woman that has this type of drug problem, who is in prison, and who may have supported her habit in a way that I will not mention. Not everyone would stay for that---------- and I want you to make sure you've addressed within yourself any part of your personality that is codependent. I think people respond to the depth of feeling he has for this woman.

He received his GED and went on to take college courses. There is much good in this young man. I am just praying these new meds are the right combination for him. I do agree with what they have him currently on. As I stated in my last post, he does have a huge heart and such potential.

I am aware of the neuropsyhiatry and the test and everything. I want to make sure she gets the right treatment and doesnt waste these 6 months. Avatar f tn Hello. In complete tears, there is typically a surgical repair suggested by the doctor. However, if you are not getting a surgical repair, rest and rehabilitation would be key. How much pain are you in? Have you been referred to a physical therapist? This would be a good way to identify where you should be in your rehabilitation process.
