Avatar n tn Have you tried just takiing 5 mg less for 3 days to a week, then keep cutting. Hydrcodone isn't a fun withdrawal, but you're on a pretty low dose. If you'll keep getting prescriptions, you can drop very slowly & combine with vitamins and exercise. If you go 5 mg a week, that's over 2 months or more. Your brain will want the higher dose, and that's the hard part. Shouldn't be bad if you go SLOW.
Avatar n tn Her doctor would order her exams with what we refer to as MARS (metal artifact reduction sequence) protocol. It is software that reduces artifact from the knee or hip replacements. The MARS software is pretty standard, but be sure to ask the facility where she is having the exam done. I wish her all the best.
Avatar m tn Currently I do go hospital to seek physiotherapist help. I think should call physiotherapist as the department called rehabilitation department. However I think still not very worth, as still maintain as before. Honestly I feel a bit worse than before now. Just curious do you know Malaysia any place famous for this practise? Currently I go Sunway hospital to practise. Besides I did go fitness center to seek trainer to help.
Avatar m tn Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this. Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.
Avatar f tn Have just come out of hospital where I was admitted with heart failure, AF and flutter due to thyrotoxicosis. I am very fit - this is how I noticed something was wrong, as I could no longer run at the same speed, lift the same weights or even walk up the stairs without getting out of breath. Now I am on carbimazole and verapamil (don't know the US names for these, verapamil is a calcium channel blocker) and I don't know whether I'm back in sinus rhythm yet.
Avatar f tn thnx a ton...but i also heard that if alcoholic person stops taking alcohol that is also very dangerous as brain is used to it. is it right??? moreover what should be the diet??? Mehak.
535882 tn?1396576685 A physical therapist, or a doctor specializing in rehabilitation are usually apt to prescribe an exercise routine or regimen specifically for your needs. Some form of anti-depressant drug therapy may also help in minimizing nerve pain but these should be discussed with your doctors first. Regards.
Avatar f tn Yup. They use analysis software for detecting the abnormalities. The button is handy for correlating what you were doing in the log at the time - like exercise or eating or stuff like that.
Avatar f tn Hi, and Welcome to the forum. My needs are taken care of by my sister, who lives with me, so I can't help you. Even though you have to keep your posts short I wanted to ask if you have investigated any of the "Voice-Recognition" software packages that allow you to move through the programs you use and through the internet using just voice commands. You can write anything in just about any good program by just speaking.
Avatar n tn Is there a cardiac rehabilitation center in your area? If so, I strongly advise your husband to participate. Exercise is done while wired up and one gains confidence as success is achieved. That being said, is he taking beta blockers? If so, it may be almost impossible for his heart rate to exceed 100 beats per minute, and the rules for aerobic exercise and heart beat are thrown out the window... the rehab folks teach "perceived exercise thresholds" instead.
Avatar f tn I'm a 22 years old software engineer. My blood test report shows TSH level 5.14, T3 and T4 are normal. what does this indicate? and for how long i have to undergo medication? i feel tired even if i'v taken a slep for 7-8 hours, i'm prone to cold. besides exercise, what are other measures i need o take to reduce TSH level..
Avatar n tn The important form of treatment in any orthopedic surgery is rehabilitation. If proper rehabilitation is not taken, there could be permanent damage, like formation of a new bone and inability to bend the toe completely in your case. Consult a physiotherapist immediately. Best.
738075 tn?1330575844 Is it dangerous to ride my bike on the flats during a flair? I find it easier to ride than walk, stand, or do Yoga right now. I went ahead and rode yesterday, and felt no more exhausted or weak than usual. Climbing the stairs in my house feels like riding my bike 20 miles (my usual flat ride). Basically I'm whipped no matter what I do, even riding my bike - tried dancing at the Halloween party last night...forget it! I sat for the rest of the night.
1348086 tn?1370783185 1. How high should your BP be when doing work/exercise? I was doing some stuff yesterday and I checked mine (sitting down) immediately after the hard work. It was 185 over 100. My average when not doing anything is usually 130 over 85. 2. My mother and I both take BP medication. Her BP tends to run like 160 over 75, whereas mine runs like 130 over 95. What makes her top number so high but my bottom number so high?
Avatar f tn I have gained 50lbs since I have had this problem, I have COPD so it is hard for me to exercise because of my breathing, what can I do to loss the weight or change my oxygen levels?
Avatar n tn The first month after MI, I was told to walk slowly ... but after 8 weeks of cardiac rehabilitation we were asked to walk 6 KM in an hour, which is not slow at all. When I left the rehabilitation and after an stress test, they fixed me a training HR where I have to be between 30-40 minutes every day, to achieve it I need a good slope in addition to walk as fast as I can. By the way, they never mention that this will enhance angiogenesis.
1508698 tn?1360215710 Hi all!! I am looking into going to a outpatient rehabilitation center. I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone, what all it included, if you liked it, and the price. Just wanted some input from people who have gone so I will know what to expect.
Avatar n tn He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. We really want to find a home where he can be among people with the same rehabilitation challenges. It would be ideal if the home offered psychologist and a physical therapist; however, even if the home had one or the other it would be better than his situation right now. He just sits at home doing nothing.
Avatar f tn All of these are issues but not sure what are the biggest concerns when it comes to getting the additional days in rehabilitation approved.
Avatar n tn Ejection Fraction commonly improves with good medications coupled with diet and exercise regimens, at least it did in my case. Also, my Ejection Fraction improved after a pacemaker was inserted. Is physical rehabilitation available to you?
