It started with a broken tooth that got sore, then the gums, then my cheeks and tongue swelled up nd inside of mt lips, I developed a white sore on the end of my tongue and it split open from top to underneath. Really bad headaches nd now my throat is sore and my lungs are tight. I gargle and brush with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, which keeps it somewhat under control. What do you thinK? O, and I am extremely fatigued. I almost forgot to mention that I have red spots on my palate.
Underside of my tongue and bottom of my mouth under my tongue are sore. No visible sore but it looks like the salivary glands are red.
Is it some viral thing or something else? Kind of has me worried. I've made an appointment with my regular doctor but wonder if I should be seeing a dentist instead.
I have a red sore on my lingual fraenulum (the muscle that connect the tongue to the bottom of the mouth). It's been there for about a month now, on and off. Sometimes it swells and turns bright red, other times it is kind of white. I'm not sure if this is a severe canker sore, or a symptom of a type of mouth cancer. Please advise!! Over-the-counter options? Health care is expensive, so I'd rather not see a doctor. THANK YOU!!
I am a female. In May I had a long, nonpainful, flat blister appear on my lower lip. No tingling. It was not visible but could be felt. It was present for nearly two weeks before popping, I think because of stubble after buzzing a few hairs off above my top lip. Lots of thick, greyish fluid came out. It did not ulcer or crust. It just flattened out and went away.
During the day, I breathe alot through my mouth, and at night, I know I breathe almost exclusively this way. I always wake up with a dry mouth and sometimes, a sore throat which subsides later in the day. A month ago I brushed my tongue for the 1st time. A day or so later I noticed what looked like some bumps in the middle of my tongue. Concerned, I've bought a tounge brush and have been brushing once to five times a week.
I've had a sore tongue for quite a while now and it has been worrying me. I have whitish spots in my tongue and they burn a little bit. It's very uncomfortable. I thought I could have thrush and when I went to the doctor, she didn't think I have thrush and it looks ok, with just a few irritated spots. She gave me a mouth rinse to make it better, but it actually makes it hurt even more, and it usually bothers me more on the side and tip of my tongue.

They are a whitish and have a raised red circular line around the sore. The become painful with some foods and burn really bad when i take my vitamin at night for a few min they also become inflamed at this time. I am taking the childrens Flinstone vitamins at the suggestin of my ob dr due to nausea and vomiting when I took regular prenatal vitamins.
Five days later the underside of my tongue became red and sore when I moved my tongue around in my mouth. My throat was kind of red but not really sore, just kind of scratchy feeling. After about 4 or 5 days the redness under my tongue went away and the soreness also went away. About 3 weeks after being with my friend, my anus became kind of itchy, mainly when I was hot or did any sweating. There was never any pain involved with my anus, just a little bit itchy.
At this point all you can do is to continue following up on this with your provider.

my doc @ trial said oragell. I used it once and gone sore mouth...However I think my sore mouth was different than your swollen tounge. So you should call your doctor and ask them what to do. And as always other's may know better than I what to do for your sore , swollen tounge :-)... Hey call your doc and see if you can try some oragell maybe and discribe your troubles .. Is there anyone with the same problem. Swollen, Sore, Burning sensation with red spots on the tip of my tongue. Gives me pain everyday while doing daily stuff like drinking coffee smoking ect. Iv tried different diets , different medication nothing is working. The only time its not sore is when the tip of the tongue is covered with plastic. Please Help!!!!!
I was also worried about it being herpes but I have never had a cold sore in my life. My tongue symptoms could be geographic tongue but would this cause other mouth symptoms? and is it just coincidence it happened at time of tonsillitis.
Im really at a loss as to what it could be?
Any ideas? My dr. doesnt seem to be concerned but its bothering me!
The roof of my mouth is red and super sore when I swallow. It feels like I have a sore throat but on the roof of my mouth. It's towards my throat but not my throat. It hurts when I swallow or put pressure on it with my tongue. I haven't ate or drank anything hot and it didn't get cut or anything. It has little indents when it's sore. I brush my teeth at least twice a day too. Any ideas?
ve had a little bit of a cold before, but the morning after I woke up with the bottom of my mouth being red and very sore and what looked and felt like a cut underneath my tongue. There is no possible way I cut my tongue between sex and waking up. Is it possible that I was so into it and rough that I gave myself some sort of inside-mouth hickey? It doesn't hurt anymore under my tongue and the "cut" has healed.
My situation: I have geographic tongue (in short: red, sometimes painful spots caused by "shedding," on the day in question I had one "sore" a bit bigged than a pea), and I am not sure how serious this condition is to strength of my tongue tissue's ability to keep viruses out of the blood stream. also I bite my tongue/cheek a lot sometimes causing them to bleed (my tongue had been bleeding earlier on the day in question).
It went away and then a larger one formed on the back of the roof of my mouth and within a few days I had red spots or blotches all over the roof of my mouth. At the same time the underside of my tongue became sore (no visible sores, but the salivary glands seemed red). Also the floor of my mouth under my tongue seemed to hurt and was slightly swollen (at least felt like it). There was no pain in my lymphnodes, although the ones under my jaw seemed like they might be slightly swollen.
Our decision. Last week he develops these sore spots inside his mouth. One is under his tongue, one is on the very tip of his tongue, and one on the roof. They are all very small in diameter. The one under his tongue has a small white area with red around, others are just red. These sores are accompanied with him feeling sick and swollen lymph nodes. All classic of hsv. It's painful for him to eat, even swallow.
