18020142 tn?1462400804 I have 2 questions I was drinking beer up til almost a month ago, from Christmas til after Easter, I noticed my palms were speckled red, and blotchy...I googled that and it said liver disease! Does all red palms mean cirrhosis? Also, I am trying to eat right and exercise, and I have a lot of belly fat going on...I can grab it and jiggle it, I am up about 20 lbs...The beer and Easter and Christmas candy..or ascites? How do I know the difference??? THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Avatar n tn A couple of my children have eczema. Two of them get red rashes and, one of them just has dry, scaly skin. All of them are itchy and get worse after water. Try a hydrocrotisone cream if it becomes rashy. Try using a non scented lotion after everytime you shower or swim. Your skin dries out when wet and becomes itchy. Lotion should help.
Avatar n tn they are slightly painful. it almost feels like a burn you get from drinking something too hot.
Avatar n tn But I began to suspect it might be red wine related, so left off drinking that for over a year - no recurrence. Recently staying at friends in France, I had a meal which had red wine in it, put in at the end so not cooked - symptoms returned. Any ideas? I felt violently ill. Can drink white and rose OK. No other allergies etc.
Avatar n tn Good suggestions from Carol. Also, Sarna lotion helped me a bit.

Avatar f tn Also a licensed aesthetician will treat your skin and teach you about good skin care. You should look to support your internal health, too. Drinking plenty of water will help to keep your pores clean from the inside out, help eliminate toxins, and keep your skin moisturized. Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and supplements of iron (if you're a female), and omegas 3-6-9 are all skin-friendly. Just be sure not to exceed the recommended daily dosage, as it can be toxic.
Avatar m tn I drank Holsten 3-4 years ago nothing happened but this time I got red face like red pepper, red eyes, rashes on forehead, below front of neck, knees and red palms with little nervousness but no itches. This is disturbing me and sounds like I would have to sacrifice my enjoyment of drinking beer Friday every week. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Avatar n tn Hey so recently my body has been covered in these red bumps/dots. Only certain areas itch and the other areas just look bad. From what I remember it started around my belly button and stomach area about 3 days ago, and it spread thrown my chest, back, a little on my thighs and hand/arm. It's really bad on my stomach area and the other spots don't itch, just gross redness. I'm starting to worry and I've tried taking Benadryl just to calm it down.
Avatar n tn Every summer after I get a slight tan I get these white little bumps lighter than my current skin color as well as a little rough. It doesn't itch at all. Not sure what I should use or if it is a fungus from the sun, I use sunscreen and can't seem to figure it out. Usually it is just around my stomach and mid back. Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn Dry skin, if you feel the skin, its very very very very dry. I have actually gotten dry red spots in the butterfly area. The spots are around 1 cm in diameter, and i have got 6-7 om them. They are REALLY red, and feels so dry. They also peel a good bit. If I try to rub either the dry red spots, or just random around in my face(all this only in the butterfly area), lots, i mean really many, dead skin cells starts peeling.
Avatar f tn Drinking while breastfeeding is the same as drinking while pregnant.
Avatar m tn Hello, Sorry replied to another question first. Persistent red skin on chest can be due to photodermatitis, polymoprphous light eruption of dermatitis skin. Apply some calamine lotion and wear cotton clothes. If the symptoms persist then please get an examination done from a dermatologist and also get pityriasis versicolor ruled out. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn What is she drinking from? If I remember correctly, a yellow lab's nose can turn pink if it is drinking from a metal water bowl. Or maybe it's if it's not drinking from a metal water bowl... I can't remember. My light colored hound had a black nose when she was at the shelter drinking from a plastic dish, then it turned lighter once she was with us a few months, I figure it's because we use a metal water bowl.
Avatar n tn There are different ways to treat Rosacea if that's what you have. You need to confirm with a dermatologist or a doctor though.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have a red chest and neck, when i push down on the skin it goes white then back to red. Evidently it's due to the capillaries coming up close to the surface of the skin, caused by high blood pressure, anxiety, smoking and drinking, all of which i have and do so it made sence to me.
Avatar f tn I have been suffering with the exact same symptoms for years and i am a 27 treat old female. I went to the doctor twice and they both looked at me like i was crazy. I had an allergy test done but everything came back negative. I'm currently on vacation and I'm in pain from drinking 2 nights in a row. It's my skin not my muscles. It hurts to touch and lay down. I'm think im going to stop drinking all together.
4437866 tn?1388119624 s going on with my hands? the tops hurt soon much. And they are red. Its not a rash they are just dry.. like I said I moisturize 4-5 times daily.. Help!!!
Avatar m tn Dear fellow posters, I have only very recently (last 6 months or so) found that my face sometimes goes really red the next morning, especially after a very heavy night of drinking. I know this is common with drinking large amounts of alcohol (ie alcohol flush) but I have also observed myself and found that my face has blotchy skin for a few days on days in which I have not consumed alcohol the day prior. I am 26 and cannot ever recall my face going this red prior to 6 months ago.
Avatar n tn My doctor said up to 12 oz of Red wine is okay, but every doctor feels differently about this. It's really a person decision.
