I have red pigmentation around my lips which looks very irritating when i shave. It kind looks like I have dry skin around that area. I used to use neutrogena acne soap excessively all over my face which i think is the reason why that part of my skin is kinda burned. is there any kind of cream i can use so that my skin can go back to normal; to the normal skin color that the rest of my face has. all your advice is very much appreciated.
My lips themselves can be quite dry at times and have a large number (sheets) of fordyce looking spots on both lips. The red area of skin just around my lips is also an area where my pores get really clogged and look like small white hairs about every other day, I usually just shave over them every other day to get rid of them. When I get out of the shower, my skin on my face and around my lips feels very tight and dry, especially if I don not moisturize.
im 13 yrs old, girl and i got this rash around my lips that is really irritating me its really itchy and in most cases its red but if i dont put some lip balm on it , it will go red itchy flaky and dry. i got it ages ago thinking it would go away by applying lip balm to it but really the lip balm just stops it from going itchy and dry and its not helping me at all! and it looks like cuts like my skin has come off and its raw PLEASE HELP!
Those red marks around your lips sounds like the same thing as what i have,except i have been fight it since i was 4(im now 21)..same as you, i have tried lotions,creams,soaps,facial scrubs....and nothing seems to work..i put a bit of polysporin on my face before bed.hopeing it will work.in the morning the red marks seem to be a little less...but light right up throughout the day..when i clean my face it sparks up severly..If you find a cure..i would LOVE to know.....Im at my wits end.
Hi the skin around my lips started off red alittle itchy and then progressed to a yellow orange almost like a scab. if i remove a piece the skin is wet and this wetness dries to the yellow-orange scab. which then starts to peel. I'm assuming it is healing. is this just really chapped skin or something else. when i eat it stretches the skin and bleeds slightly where the skin tears. I'm just looking for the best thing to apply to the area.
For a couple months now I have had this red rash around my lips. Its not dry skin it sometimes has dead skin and other times it just red and sore. I have been to a doctor 2 or 3 times about it and they keep telling me to stop licking my lips and it will go away. I know for i fact I DO NOT LICK MY LIPS! i have been putting some blistex medicated ointment on them that helps a little with the redness and makes them comfortable to live with.
I've had this horrible red rash around my mouth over a week now. It started as just a dry, flaky spot on the lower right side of my mouth but now I have it on both sides and it's itchy, flaky, dry, inflamed and red. There is no pus or anything like that. The corner on the left side of my mouth has a little "tear" because of the dryness. I've tried putting vaseline and other things on it but it doesn't seem to do much.
I am having a problem with a rash that radiates downward from the sides of my lips. There are no blisters or bumps, it's just red. This area is also particularly dry with flaky skin, particularly close to the sides of the lips. Sweat and toothpaste cause the redness to increase significantly and produce pain.
The toothpaste I'm using is very strong - Aquafresh Extreme Clean. From the time I began using it the area has become increasingly more irritated.
When I stopped taking the pill it appeared to clear up, then 3 weeks later it suddenly flared up again. I noticed these small bumps around my lips and I was wondering if they could possibly be herpes? A few days ago I had a burning sensation around my lips but the sensation went away and now it's rather irritating. They're not red, they're my skin tone, all around my mouth and they're small only really noticeable if I stretch my skin out. Every few months at times when I get stressed, I notice red marks that appear around my mouth. They do not look like sores, only red spots on the skin about 1/2 inch or less from the lips. They are about less than 1/2 the size of a dime in diameter. They are usually there for a few hours and then disappear only to reappear in a different spot later. They feel slightly itchy and hot. They will appear in different areas around the mouth and the episode lasts for about 3 days.
Doctor told me it was a yeast infection and gave me a pill. The redness around the whole head went away but the red around the meatus was still present and the skin where it is red looks different from the rest of the skin. I went to the urologist and he said everything looked healthy, at that point I was starting to feel better but not 100 percent he gave me an anti fungal cream to use if it didn't get better.

we have notices few pimple like bumps around her lips for last few days..mainly on upper lips..they dont hurt but feel sore when touched by hands...what can this be? should we apply hydrocortisone on it?also we are noticing that her pigmentation is getting darker...she is taking all the precution in the sun..what could be cause of this.
I started using Benadryl which has worked but im curious to find out what it is. Its red with little bumbs and the lines around my mouth are red. Does anyone have any idea on what this could be? I have an appointment scheduled with my dermatologist, but I would like a little insight about what it is. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.
I have had some red marks(almost like irrated skin) beside my lips since i was 4.i would like to get it under control.I also have red marks all over my face and it is very very dry..I have tried all sorts of lotion,facial scrubs,creams.my face burns everyday(like windburn and sunburn)..i have been fighting the dry skin and burning face for about 8 years.please help..
