I slept with a girl 2 days ago and woke up this morning with a red rash around the groin with some pimples here and there.... It doesnt burn or itch too much, but it does a little... The girl I have known for a while, she claims she was tested last month and she is clean.. Do I have anything to be worried about??

About a month ago I noticed that I had some sort of a rash originating in the crease of my groin and running down my thighs a little bit. The rash consists of little lines of red/purple color that run down my leg, and they are probably about 4-5 cm long. I tried clotrimazole 1% cream to treat for jock itch and I have not noticed any results. Any idea what it could be?

Then, in mid-December, I stopped using all creams and two small pinkish-red patches returned at the same place on the upper groin crease, with one near my scrotum forming a small white pimple. I noticed these pinkish-red patches develop where the groin and thigh-skin touch when sitting. I went to my family doctor, who said that it was an infected follicle.

Ok here is my issue I have had 2 previous issues in 2 years with groin irritation. Both issues came after shaving and led to a red scrotum and small whiteheads in my groin region with cracking skin in my groin fold. Both times it freaked me out. I have OCD and am a hypochondriac. On Friday after a long run I examined my groin and on my left side, well below the scrotum I noticed a reddish mark close to where my underwear band touches. This mark didn't change all weekend.

I have a red groin rash in between my legs but not on my genitals, although near my genitals that I caught from my brother's (clean) underwear. It goes away with Lamasil, but if I wash with soap, or get sweat there it comes back. It is also on the head of my penis and probably up my arse.

hi I have noticed a week after I had a shave I have got a red sort of rash in the pubic area and few red spots near rash the rash or little spots arnt itchy just red the rash this morning was dry and was pealing little bit so I put cream on it to stop the dryness but al still there I also changed my washing powder last week thinking it could be a bad reaction any advice would be great full thanks

Hello, i am wondering about a lumpy red rash that has appeared on my upper thigh groin area recently. red lumps have formed around this area and have been there for at least 2 or 3 weeks now, they have turned a purple colour and look to be expanding. I have done research into genital herpes however most pictures seem to show spot like growths and are said not to leave red or purple marks so i dont know if what i have is herpes or jock itch or another related problem.

This has been going on for about a 2 years. Sometimes it happens every few weeks, sometimes a month, or sometimes I'll get 2 within a few days of each other. I can always tell when there is going to be a breakout, because it will feel like my pubic hair is sore, probably near the base of it. The breakouts always consist of a small cluster of about 6 different sized white pimple like blisters, with red irritated areas around them. The breakout site usually is about a half inch in diameter.

Hello Doc, I currently have a rash on my groin area (penis, scrotum, inner thigh near buttocks). This rash is red and blotchy, raised a little bit (inflamed?) and it only itches, it does not hurt at all. The rash is in a ring around my circumcision as well as on the tip of my penis and near the opening to the urethra. The splotches of red on my scrotum are on the backside of it mostly, but only in smaller red spots. On my inner thigh area, theres about 5-6 raised red spots on my inner thigh.

However, steroids should not be used in the groin alone without consulting your doctor since steroids alone can make the rash of jock itch much worse. If the rash is very red and itchy, especially if it has blisters at the edge, a topical steroid such as hydrocortisone can also be applied aside from the clotrimazole cream. If this persists, it would be best to see your doctor for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.

I have two small patches of extremely itchy red rash on my upper inner thigh (right near my groin). I am a 19 year old female. Recently developed a type of rash on my groin. I was wearing a pair of underwear with lace trim and the lace was staring to irritate my skin. I soon checked and exactly under the lace the area was red and if examined closely I noticed little red bumps. I took them off and put on some sweat pants. By the end of the next day the area no longer irritated me and by the third or fourth day of it, it seemed like there was nothing there.
