i had a itch in my groin 2 yrs ago it became infected it smelt i treated it with psudo nappy rash cream and it went this summer it started again without infection a red sore rash and it felt like my testicles were too heavy and as i walked they rubbed badly on my legs i tried canestan anti fungals timoten psudo cream vaseline nothing worked the doctors insisted it was fungal .
Ok here is my issue I have had 2 previous issues in 2 years with groin irritation. Both issues came after shaving and led to a red scrotum and small whiteheads in my groin region with cracking skin in my groin fold. Both times it freaked me out. I have OCD and am a hypochondriac. On Friday after a long run I examined my groin and on my left side, well below the scrotum I noticed a reddish mark close to where my underwear band touches. This mark didn't change all weekend.
Less than 24 hours later I now have a rash/spots at the edge of my groin, in the creases between the legs and groin. The spots were itchy before I treated them with E45 itch relief cream.
What the hell is it? I'm reasonably sure it is not molluscum as I have had that before. The main STD's seem to have a longer incubation period. Could it be yeast related from her fluids?
As of 3 weeks now i have had a red rash around the right side of my groin. The rash is itchy and raw in the crease between my thigh and my groin. Around that time i also received oral sex from an old fling. (I have reached out to her and she says she is clean and has no symptoms of any kind.) The rash has since appeared on the left side of my groin but not as intense as the original. I have used Lotramin AF, Lotramin Ultra, Tinactin and recently started Calamine lotion. Any suggestions?
i have a rash between my legs and is slighty itchy and very red.. it worsens when i wear sanitary towels ... i have tried using canestan cream but this does not seem to help... I'm not sure whether i have trush as i've never had it before what should i take to try and clear it up?

Started off as slight discomfort while sitting and walking, turned into a bunch of red spots that developed around inner thigh areas (both at same time), and has turned into red & irritated scrotum (with a normal patch down the middle) and re-occurring development of the red spots on the inner thighs. Steroid creams seem to eliminate the red spots on the thighs, but the discomfort and irritation on the scrotum/and area between the anus and scrotum is always lingering.
I have a rash on both sides of my groin. It is in the crease between my genitals. It goes from the start of the seperation of my leg and groin and goes down to below my testicles. It is light red on both sides and produces a distinctly bad odor. It does not ever itch. It feels slick and appears moist most of the time. I have also had pain in my thighs and what appear to be inflamed lymph nodes in the groin (but I'm not sure). I have had these symptoms for about 5 months.
i went and got hiv tested (not herpe tested) and the doctor also looked at the groin rash (the head rash had dissapeared so i foolishly didnt mention it) she said it was some sort of yeast rash and gave me a cream for it. i barely used the cream accordingly...it went away on its own, then came back...stayed for awhile, spread to my stomache and under my pec muscles...slowly spreading. i used cream on it nonstop and it would go away awhile, then come back some more...
Nine weeks ago I had protected vaginal sex with a sex worker. About a week after I developed a red bumpy rash in the crease of my groin. It appeared that there were small red, pimples that itched and hurt. I went to my GP who said the rash in my groin didn’t resemble an std, and suggested lotrimin, which severely dried the area out. Difficult to tell how much it actually helped the rash. At 4 weeks I tested negative on an IGG test for HSV1and2. The rash sort of gets better and then gets worse.
I developed a rash on each side of my scrotum it is bright red and has some small "zit" like spots within an inch of it. My scrotom is also bright red.
I run and bike alot.
Does this sound like sweat rash or a yeast rash?
My GP gave me econozole and nystain sp* which I have been applying at the same time day and night, and using goldbond medicated after that sinks in good.
hi I have noticed a week after I had a shave I have got a red sort of rash in the pubic area and few red spots near rash the rash or little spots arnt itchy just red the rash this morning was dry and was pealing little bit so I put cream on it to stop the dryness but al still there I also changed my washing powder last week thinking it could be a bad reaction any advice would be great full thanks
In late November I noticed, further up the groin crease, small pinkish red patches on either side of the crease, one near the scotum, and one on the inner thigh. I applied anti-fungal cream there as well, and the redness went away, probably within a week.
Then, in mid-December, I stopped using all creams and two small pinkish-red patches returned at the same place on the upper groin crease, with one near my scrotum forming a small white pimple.
However, steroids should not be used in the groin alone without consulting your doctor since steroids alone can make the rash of jock itch much worse. If the rash is very red and itchy, especially if it has blisters at the edge, a topical steroid such as hydrocortisone can also be applied aside from the clotrimazole cream. If this persists, it would be best to see your doctor for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
I had measles a couple of months ago. That's gone. What happened afterwords is my groin area started showing red patches, very dry skin, then red spots on my buttocks (a few). I've had this rash for more than two months. Doesn't seem to be spreading but will not go away. I use diaper rash medicine which seem to help the redness, Also, just after the measles, my groin testical skin area chapped up bad. A crust layer grew over this area then after so many days of showering fell off.
greetings, from three weeks ago i was taking my bath i felt a burning sensation and a small itchy feeling between my thigh on my inner thigh nead the pubic hear so i was looking closely i saw red rash, on both so i removed the hair to used a medicine and becoz there is no doctors arround specially that i am away from home and i am in africa, i used for one week flamisyle it didn;t work i started to see some of these bumps that the color is red and when they heel they peel from center it is not
I have had a rash in my groin for about 3 to 4 weeks now. I am an avid cyclist, and when I ride, I sweat a lot and there is certainly some rubbing in my groin area. The rash started only on the right side, and in the last 2 days has moved to the left side, also. It is red and itchy, and sometimes there are small pustules. I thought it was jock itch and tried Tinactin, then Lotrimin, and then Lamisil.
Hello, i am wondering about a lumpy red rash that has appeared on my upper thigh groin area recently. red lumps have formed around this area and have been there for at least 2 or 3 weeks now, they have turned a purple colour and look to be expanding. I have done research into genital herpes however most pictures seem to show spot like growths and are said not to leave red or purple marks so i dont know if what i have is herpes or jock itch or another related problem.

This redness can be due to fungal infection or contact dermatitis. Wash your groin daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying,not rubbing.The damp groin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and do not share other people’s towels.
Treatment for both is entirely different. I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and get this rash assessed so that specific treatment(antifungals or corticosteroids) can be started.
About 2 weeks later a rash appeared where my inner thigh meets my gooch/groin area. I saw my doctor and she prescribed a fungal cream, the Rash disappeared but two cut/ look like stretch marks remain. About three weeks later I noticed a red bump on my shaft randomly, and the area where the rash was is beginning to peel again. The red bump doesn't hurt and showed up out of no where. I also noticed some discoloration moving up my shaft. Not really red but I can't really tell what it is.
So for the past week I've had a rash on the left side of my groin area where my crotch meets my thigh. Its itchy but it doesn't burn. It almost looks like a big long red blister right there and I have little red bumps all by it. It's starting to spread onto the other side and I want it to stop. I've started using cortisone but it's not helping that much. Any ideas? I don't think it's fungal but I could be wrong.
on the ride side was a red rash that burned like crazy, on the left side was a rash that also burned but looks different cuz this one was scaling more, burning more, had red wet spots on this rash...my scrotum turned red and burned for a day,.
the burning was on and off for a week..so it calmed down...and just burns at time but i still have my 2 rashes.
what does this mean, is this an std.herpes? if it was herpes would it just be in one spot?...
It isn’t very itchy, and has spread a bit, but not markedly. The rash in my groin is red/orange colour and scaly/plaque-like, with lots of tiny red bumps and dots, while the one on my stomach is a small oval ring shape, with an outer edge that’s redder. Could it be ringworm or another fungal infection? I’ve been putting canesten cream (Clotrimazole) on for the past 4 days, but there’s no obvious improvement.
