Red bumps under ring

Common Questions and Answers about Red bumps under ring

bump

I am an RN who works in a hospital and washes my hands multiple times a day. Around 2 months ago I started with a red itchy rash under my ring finger under where my wedding rings sit. I took them off and the red rash went away after a week but a dry cracked skin was in its place. I put my rings on for a few hours and them I found a red itchy rash with red bumps or blister like areas also. I again took my rings off for a week or so and it seemed to heal after the same dry skin.
I have a raised red ring that comes up on my back every 2-3 months and it stays for about 3-5 weeks.. it has retruned yet AGAIN.....It itches sometimes....it starts as a small "Pimple" like redness, but never forms a blister. It shows up in the middle of my back, in the SAME spot everytime. I also get the rings sometimes on my scalp in the back of the head....
For the last 6-8 months I have been unable to wear my wedding rings for more than 3-4 days before red itchy bumps appear (usually along the hair follicles on below my middle knuckle.) I take the rings off and within a day or 2 the rash is gone and in it's place is dry peeling skin which usually heals within a week or so. Again, this has been happening for over 6 months! I am wondering if this is a fungus and if so, how do I treat it? Do I need to apply some anti-fungal to my rings as well?
Hello. Recently I developed a singular red spot under my armpit. It doesn't itch or give me problems at all. It is perfectly circular, about a 1/2 inch big all around and flat. At first I thought maybe I got pinched or something, but I don't remember anything pinching me and the area isn't easily obtainable for something to pinch it. It's been there for about 2 weeks now. I'm not sure what it is, and I fear the worst. If you could please help determine what it is, I would be very thankful.
I have also had these tiny red bumps. They feel like a splinter or sticker-burr under the skin. I currently have them on my right pinkie so everytime I need to write something it hurts. The area all around the bumps is red. I have something similar on my pointer finger below the middle knuckle. This area became very swollen and is just starting to go down. I saw a dermatologist for another reason and he suggested chilblains.
A few months ago I started developing red bumps on the tops of my feet. Some are in rings and some are just individual. The bumps are smooth and no skin is flaking off. They do not itch or hurt. I have tried neosporin, cortizone, anti-fungal, etc but nothing has any effect. The bumps are now appearing on the backs of my hands and spreading up my ankles as well. The bumps seem to be under my skin and are a dark pink/red color. I am concerned at how quickly they are spreading.
Itching soon follows, along with red bumps, and since then I've started moisturizing. The thick sections of dead skin have peeled away and my elbows are fine, save for still itching sometimes, and the bumpy texture isn't completely gone. 2. A weird itch/bug bite on my index finger appears around the same time. The skin has little dabs of red/brown, and is stiff.
I have red itchy spots that look like a rash., under my right breast that looks like a ring worm and alot of bumps that's hurting me.
The color is brown outter ring the red/maroon center with scaly dry skin tops. I am Italian so when I scar or have trama, my skin turns brown so it is scaring me that the outter parts are brown tinted. I have changed soaps, detergents, bought new cloths applied ice packs for itchiness, went naked for the day to let it get air. Since I am breastfeeding, I do have hot flashes and am naturally hot all the time to begin with (that's why I am prone to heat rashes).
Then, a day or two later, I developed three + red painful bumps, one right below my nail on my right pinky finger, one on the upper joint of my left middle finger, and one of the upper joint of my left ring finger. The pain isn't that bad -- the bumps are just sensitive and hurt a bit when touched. There is no itching at all, or burning, etc. Just a sensitivity/slight pain. I had this happen a few months ago, and it started like this and then more painful bumps appeared.
About 5 days ago, I woke up w/ a couple of small red bumps, about the size of a pen tip. One was on my thumb on my L hand and one on my middle finger, on my R hand (they are on the underside of my fingers). Then yesterday when I woke up, I had three more. On the palm of my R hand, and middle finger again. Now, when I woke up today, I have about 10 more that have shown up. More on the palm of my R hand, the same middle finger, pinkie on my R hand and ring finger on my L hand.
My 7 yr old son has had firey red bumps in his belly button for a few months. He says they do not itch. They are close, making it look like a patch. Now, he has the same bumps under his arms (very large patch) and on his penis. Last night he developed red (not firey) bumps on his face; just a few dots all over. Again, they do not itch - he didn't even know they were there. For the last year or so, he's had dry flacky skin under his eyes, in the lash line.
I have some raised red bumps on the sides of my fingers next to my joints. They start out looking slightly like an insect bite or small hard blister, then they dry up and get very hard and peel a little. After they peel, they are gone for a few days and then come back. They itch only every once in a while, and only seem to hurt when I'm bending my fingers. Please help.
I have red bumps all on my chest, back and neck on the front. They usually are only under my clothing. Thought it may be from my detergent so I switched to unscented but no luck. I finally went to the doctor and he sent me to walgreens to buy this lotion called AMLAXIN XL. It burns for a few minutes but their usually all gone within an hour. The tube of lotion is $29.99 but well worth it. It keeps my skin moist and for the most part, bump free. I use it twice a day. It works soo good!
My boyfriend and I went to Rehoboth Beach, DE last weekend and he has an itchy rash on his waist, ankles and thighs. I have red bumps on my ankles and knees. Some of my bumps are raised and seem to be filled with liquid. He went to the doctor but could not get a diagonosis because doctor sen't sure what it was and prescribed a cortizone cream and antihistimine. Mine seem to be going away. We are thinking his could be scabies and are afraid to sleep together as it could be contagious.
Your diet, stress levels and all sorts of weird stuff is closely integrated with how well your body is able to control yeast which is naturally all over your body. Well, I've had that same stupid patch of red bumps under my eye, which are raised, look like a few pimples, some have white heads, but won't pop, cause dry skin that flakes off... Yeah. Exact same thing. Soooo...

I originally had small red rashy bumps appear under my bicep, two weeks later I noticed a small ring of red bumps right below my elbow. The ring is formed by distinct, unconnected bumps and is about a nickel in size. The center of the ring is clear. The bicep bumps are all distinct bumps NOT creating a continuous rash. They are the same bumps, but the elbow bumps are the only ones that form a distinct ring.
However, as the week has gone on, it has become increasingly itchy and a red rash has appeared. (Only under my right arm, the left is fine). The rash is like lots of big red bumps. Its itchy, and stings a bit when i move my arm. It looks a little bit like eczema. I have never had eczema before in my life, but my brother spent the first two years of his life in hospital with it all oevr his body.
After the first bump, I got two bumps that were about 1 cm in diameter, and in the past week I have started getting red bumps all over my body. Mainly on my chest, neck and lower torso area. There are about 30 dots/bumps in total. I've also been getting them twice as fast now, and it's really scaring me. Some are bigger (1cm diameter) and some are smaller(2mm). I'd like to also mention that two other people living with me have also started getting these bumps.
I had the same problem - red swollen itchy eye which started on the skin just under my left eye as the weeks went on it spread to the eye lid, the bridge on my nose, between my eye brows and to to skin round my other eye. it drove me in sane it was so imbarassing going into work. On the days it wasn't as red it was very dry bumpy and scaly horrible. The attack lasted months and the skin was starting to look wrinkly!
I have this repeating rash, the rash is not red, i only noticed it when i rub my middle and ring finer together.the rash is only on my ring finger, it comes and goes and never spreads to the other fingers or hand. I have been trying to get rid of it and i have no idea on how to get rid of it or what it is..
I made an appointment on june 28th to go get this figured out. I have a red patch on my penis head and several red bumps between my legs and on my butt. I thought they were ingrown hairs cause i stupidly decided to see what the hairless look would feel like and I thought I shaved wrong. At night i stay awake cause it feels like bugs are crawling all over me. My feet have blisters. The bumps on my body feel like there are BB gun pellets inside. I try to squeeze them but nothing pops out.
