I also noticed that he had 4 white bumps ,one being red around the white bump, on his tongue in front close to the tip. I took him to the dr and she said sometimes the virus settles in their mouths. He's never had that on his tongue before. I would like a more in depth opinion please.
Then a couple days later I started getting larger red bumps on the rest of my tongue. I've never had anything like this before and I can't recall eating anything out of the ordinary. I was just wondering if this was a run of the mill viral infection or if I should go get checked out.
I got back from the bar and the next day I had these tiny red bumps on the tip of my tongue that burn consistantly, and bleed. Along the side of my toungue there are little white bumps that also appear along side my tongue. It's also making me have a sore throat that never leaves, but the pain in my throat is only on one side-the left. I need help and I am worried that I could have contracted something from making out with one of the girls at the club.
My baby was born with two enlarged" taste buds"on the tip of tongue . The Dr.s ran viral and bacterial tests on her. They also did a spinal tap. The tests came back fine. She is now 17 months old , and they have gotten slightly larger. Has anyone ever seen this before???
I noticed some bumps on back of her shoulder and on her tummy she said those are bug bites got them from camping. After nearly five days of this exposure I have a sore on the tip of my tongue with little white puss (it wasn't a bump). it is small I don't have any pain (just slight tingling sensation when I touch the sore with my teeth) I can eat normally. I am not sure when was the last time I had cold sore on tongue. It is 36 hrs since I noticed this sore.
I've been suffering for days because of these white bumps on the tip and side of my tongue. I tried cutting off the white pieces with a cuticle cutter needless to say that failed miserably and caused much more pain the following day. I went on the internet to check out wtf was going on and stumbled upon this page. I tried out kelseyreneefuller's suggestion of dipping my tongue into pretty hot unsweetened tea and although it hurt to keep it longer than 1 second I kept doing it.
1) and diarrhea for about a day. I have one bump on the tip, one underneath and one on the side. The bumps are on the inside so they aren't really noticeable by looking at them. My wifes bumps started the same way but it later turned into an ulcer-looking thing on the tongue, then went away. I do not have the burning sensation at the top of my mouth like my wife did. I am currently on antibiotics (3rd day). Problem is that my wife is starting to get her bumps back.
My 7 yr. old son has tiny white dot like bumps on his tongue, and on the very tip of the tongue the dots seem to have grown into one large white spot. They are not outlined in red, just white. He cries alot over them & wakes at night screaming in pain. We try baby orajel swabs and a benadryl/mylanta mix on the surface of tongue, but it doesn't help alot. This was at the suggestion of his pediatrician, but I'm praying there is something else we can do as this doesn't seem to help.
by today (Thursday), I've got a cluster of 5 tiny whitish or fleshy bumps/blisters on the tip of my tongue, which hurt whenever they touch food or my teeth. No raised red area around them. In the center of them is a small redish dot. I can't tell if there's any liquid inside (I'm not going to try to puncture one). The description sounds a lot like "lie bumps", but could this possibly be a primary OB of HSV on my tongue (only?
I have a few small bumps on the tip of my tongue and some larger bumps on the back. My tongue is hurting and burning. What might this be?
Today when i woke up, the tip of my tongue was numb. It feels like there is oral gel at the very tip of my tongue. Its like the taste buds at the very tip of my tongue are gone. Its located at the tip toward the center. I got very close to the mirror to see if i noticed anything unusual and i did. There was a little black spot...it almost looked like a black head i would get on my face. It was as if one of my taste buds had been burned black.
ok, so I'm getting the same problem too. After reading all of these comments im kind of getting scared about having herpes or something. About 4 days ago I noticed that i got little cuts on the corners of my lips and that there was a little white thing on it that looked like a pimple but it isnt, and the tip of my tongue reallyyy hurts like crazyy. I have noticed that there are little white bumps on it .. and i usually never have that.
Though, 17 days later, I happened to look at my tongue and noticed there were three red circles/sores on the tip of my tongue...but one was more to the side of the tongue but still on the edge. They turned red and circular but went away in 4 days. Just yesterday, I noticed a red circular formation starting to appear again on the tip of my tongue and today, it has a very tiny white puss looking bump on the edge of the center of the red circle.
Ok, so I'm 14 and when I was very young I noticed 3 small red bumps on my penis tip. Since then, my whole tip is covered, and it has spread to the shaft. It doesnt itch. Recently, I recieved oral sex, then later i made out with the same girl. Now we both have the same looking red bumps on our tongues (the same bumps from penis) I'm very scared of what I have. I need to find a way to stop this. Please help.
the tip of my tongue has been stinging the past week after i brush my teeth and tongue.i looked at it todat and saw blister like shapes(wazy ovals) on the tip of my tongue and they were red.what could this be?
there are usually 2 noticeable veins that run down the underside of the tongue. on one of my veins at the tip of the vein, i noticed a small red bump/flap. it lay flat down but you could raise the flap up. It is not painful when i don't move my tongue or touch the bump/flap. but when i do touch of move it, it is very painful. i'm only 15 so do you think this is anything serious? Some patients have had them so bad they have had to go off treatment because of them. the ONLY way I could get them to go away was to put hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip and rub it on the sore. SO painful but lasted a while. Nothing else ever worked at all. The GOOD NEWS is that - they go away as soon as you stop the interferon. But be careful...after not eating for 72 weeks...............................................
I'm scared that my girlfriend will get these bumps on her tongue because she gave me oral sex and I'm also scared that I will get them on my tongue since we have made out since the oral. I found a picture online of what it looks like: http://lookmypenis.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/photo0176.jpg mine looks like that but a little worse. Please respond if you have seen this before and know if it can spread to my partner. Thanks.
Anyway my 2nd oral outbreak I believe started w a sensitive feeling inside my mouth in my inside left cheek and sensation travelled to front of my mouth. Then I had all bumps on my tongue raised same colour as tongue some size of a tac some tiny raised taste buds. Also had craters at side of tongue and tip. 3 dr said not herpes one dr said maybe. Got it swabbed 4 days after presentation of symptoms 1. What does herpes look like on the tongue vs another viral outbreak or just stomatis? 2.
My issue started with burning tongue and lips that would just go away for a few weeks only to return for several months. I have red blister like bumps all over the sides and tip of my tongue. Two very red raw spots in the middle near the tip of my tongue. At night while sleeping my tongue gets so dry it wakes me up. In the morning the problem is not as bad and I think today is the day it will go away.....Nope, as the day goes on it gets worse.
It started about 4-5 days ago. I am not sure if the bumps on the tip of my tongue are related to the cut on my lip or not. I think i may have burned my lip somehow while under the influence this weekend, but I'm not sure. I can't remember it happening. I'll stay away from acidic foods and beverages if that helps, and I will stop with the "harsh" methods. I read that oral herpes show up as little red bumps on your tongue, or as white bumps on the end of your tongue.
My girlfriend started noticing some odd "dents\craters" on her tongue 2 days ago. It started out as 3 separate pea to dime sized "craters" 1 on the side of her tongue and 2 on the tip of the tongue. After a day the two front craters joined and expanded into one large crater that takes up the majority of the top part of the tip of her tongue.
I remember, while visiting my family and friends, I began to feel an immense pain emanating from the sides of my tongue, but there was no physical sign of any ailment. Then, I found a white cluster of tiny bumps on the tip of my tongue a few weeks later. It was slightly painful, but the sight of it was more alarming than how it felt. Not too long after that, I developed a few, scattered white bumps on both sides of my tongue.
I started using a tongue scraper and now I seem to have small little red bumps at the tip of my tongue. I am not sure if this is a reaction to using the tongue scraper or just further issues that are the cause of some disease.
I have been through a stressful time and my tounge has gotten red and raw patches on the tip of my tounge. Bumps like lesions on my tounge. a raised white patch with the taste buds on them seaming hard. I find myself picking at it and using a topical pain med (gly-oxide) recomended by my PC. He assures me it will pass but I thought it was something different (STD). It seems to be getting better after a day of using this med. It helps me forget it is there and go on with my day.
I have an episodic tingling on the front of my tongue that also seems to be coupled with redness and burning. I also have weird red patches that straddle both sides of the tongue that appear for a week or two at a time, and they may appear once every month or so. I've had weird issues with my tongue for several years at least. But the tingling started happening when my other tingling started about a year ago, so they are definitely correlated.
It is an awful thing to 'have to put up with' I also have ulcers on the back of my tongue and roof of my mouth, this cannot be normal.
IAt times I feel bumps on the side or toward the tip of my tongue, so I try biting down on the bumps or squeezing them with my finger, which of course just worsens the condition. I have tried peroxide, salt water which relieves it some.
