What surface of the tongue are they on? The top part of the tongue, or the underside? Look up pictures of "geographic tongue" because that occurs on the top part of the tongue. If it is on the bottom, it could be some canker sores because they occur on these spots. Either one, it would just be palliative treatment. Use some numbing gel - all your dentist will give you is, at most, a steroid rinse. See if it goes away within 7 days. If it doesn't, then go to your dentist.
and I thought I had developed some sort of sore throat this last weekend and was very surprised this morning (when I checked it out in the mirror) to find that the back portion of my tongue looked red and swollen and appears to have red bumps on it - It is isolated to the back - like a line that seperates the back red area from the front- and the rest of my tongue (front) has a whitish film - They are pretty far back and kind of hard to see - far enough back so as I have a gag reflex if I try
I can't see anything in my throat, only on my tongue. I looked at the pictures of herpes and it seems really red and close together which isn't what I have. They seem like irritated taste buds. I can`t really find a picture that looks like what I have but i still have that burned feeling on my tongue after 3 and half day. I`m just worried that its an STD. Theres no white coating that isn`t usually there and its not thick. all of the bumps are spaced where it would seem like they are taste buds.
The oral sex consisted all of 5 minutes with my penis outside of the persons mouth most of the time being jerked and licked. The next day I noticed small red bumps around my penis close to the head going about 75% around the shaft as well as bumps around the base of the head of my penis and a reddish change in color on the head that comes and goes. The bumps are whitish/reddish/skin colored.
I have red bumps under my tounge and two that are behind my lower bottom teeth on the gums, when i went to the dentist 4 months ago they took a picture of one of them behind my lower teeth, now im starting to get them under my tounge, he didn't say what it was though. I heard you can get warts in your mouth, but they dont look anything like the pictures online, what could they be?
I have red patched generally on the right side of my tongue. Some of the patches are very smooth and others have some bumps on them, almost as if they are inflamed taste buds. There is no pain but I am a teen and I am very self conscious about this. I do have pictures if it helps to diagnose my problem added below. I would also like to know if there is any sort of treatment for this and can anyone give me any advice? thankyou A.
After a couple of days two red spots appeared on the edge of my tongue on the border one on each side. It was dark red, a month later on the left side of my tongue a white flaky line appeared that seems to be flaky, and i can scrape it off. After brushing my teeth, and tongue it goes away. It shows up again the next morning. Is this some type of HIV?
I have been through a stressful time and my tounge has gotten red and raw patches on the tip of my tounge. Bumps like lesions on my tounge. a raised white patch with the taste buds on them seaming hard. I find myself picking at it and using a topical pain med (gly-oxide) recomended by my PC. He assures me it will pass but I thought it was something different (STD). It seems to be getting better after a day of using this med. It helps me forget it is there and go on with my day.

I have a fever now, but it's after the bumps. I have a really large sore on my tongue now that is extremely painful, but my appetite isn't poor. I just can't eat with this thing on my tongue because it hurts too much. The rash is on my hands, feet, in my mouth, the back of my thighs, and across my chest. Would this present in the additional two areas?
In the past three years of my life I have noticed rashes becoming quite frequent. I am 21 going on 22 so I am young. I have red little bumps that cover my chest, breasts, neck, shoulders, and a little on my upper back. I also am getting some red bumps on my face and some of the bumps are white puss filled and some are not. They are not itchy... I have a headache when I get this usually. A couple of years ago it used to just be on my face and now it shows up more on my chest than anywhere.
Hey i also note noticed red little bumps on my penis . I look at pictures about herpes and info and they do not look like that! And also i dont get pain from it. It does not bother me at all only when I notice it sometimes are not even there. They say when you have herpes they scab up just like if you had a cold sore on your lip also to I am not circumcised. And the picture that I looked up do not look like mine at all. What kind of cream do you get for the anti fungal and working you get it?
so, about three days ago i went to the mirror and noticed i had tiny red bumps on my upper lip. the next day, it spread at the bottom of my lips. the third day, when i woke up it was crusty and itchy. my story kind of sounds similar to the ones above. when you guys mentioned about your chapstics, i recalled losing mine then finding it on the floor 5 minutes later. so i'm thinking it is bacterial infection rather than a cold sore.
4 on index (2 on outside side, 1 the inside side, 1 on outside knuckle), 1 on palm, thumb-side of center. On my right: 2 on middle (1 below upper joint, index side; other palm-side knucklemost section); 1 palm below pinky knuckle. Small; size varies, but ca. sm. letter "o". Raised but to tell need to see in profile vs. from above. Over time recede & a flesh-colored (fluid-filled?) center becomes more noticeable. Don't itch.
My bf has itchy red bumps all over him, his legs mostly, its on his stomach and some on his back, its either in clusters or pairs. I don't have anything so not sure what it is and we don't have insurance so he's been suffering for about a month now. It started when he started his new job at his nursing home. He says it is bites but is it possible for him to have bites and not me? seems most of these people have the same problem with just one person but not the spouse.
Upon further inspection, I realized that I had some irregular red bumps spread under my tongue, on my mouth floor on both sides under my tongue. I also found two of these bumps under my tongue near the frenulum. The next day, the white spot on my frenulum and the pain disappeared. . However, the red bumps are still there and I have a really minor gum pain. They are not painful and do not cause any discomfort.
By the way, I also can swallow fine, eat fine, there is no tongue pain and I don't have a sore throat and I have no red patches on my tongue.
Man am I glad to see other people with tongue problems. I have had pain on the side of my tongue for nearly 1.5 years - both on the left side and the right side. I have talked to two general MD's, one ENT, and two dentists about it and nobody can seem to give me a clue as to what's wrong. The left side of my tongue always seems sensitive. It seems to be foliate pappitis to me but what do I know. I do know that I have cut wayyyy back on sugar (about 90%) and things have improved.
A couple weeks ago, i noticed some white stuff on the way back of my tongue accompanied by some red bumps, which could be normal because they dont hurt and dont look inflamed or anything. I have looked at pictures of thrush, and it does have some similarities to it, however, it has not spread to anywhere else in the mouth and it is not curd like. Furthermore, it does not come off, when i brush it or scrap it.
A couple of hours later the bumps came back and I know that herpes cannot appear that fast, but then I noticed these red spots on the tip of my tongue. It is not painful or uncomfortable but I wanted to know if the red spots on the tip of my tongue can be related to herpes?

Once in a while during more stressful periods we would get a condition where our hands would itch like crazy and small red bumps would appear on our palms. The condition would worsen if we exposed our hands to hot water. Also, after a day or two, the skin on our hands would feel like onion skin. I was in college the first time I got the condition.
I would like to point out that I was not really aware of how my tongue looked like before the contact and never really bothered about the possibility of having any kind of diseases/bumps on the tongue. Therefore, there is no indication that the observations listed bellow were not present before the contact. Day 1: Nothing to notice but didn't bothered checking at my tongue. Day 2: My tongue got a little swollen/numb especially in the morning.
I also have burning mouth syndrome And have gotten small canker sores but no sores like the herpes pictures that I have seen on the internet. I have gotten little red bumps around the tip of my tongue. What are some of the sores typically associated with herpes inside the mouth? - My tongue has a white coating on it, as well as very small red bumps close to the tip of my tongue. There is one large sphere on my tongue that doesn't have this white coating on it, perhaps a sore? It is not paintful (yet). This looks similar to some pictures I have seen on the web of herpes or syphilis on the tongue. I am not sure when this developed as I don't look at my tongue on a regular basis. I just noticed yesterday, so about a month after my at risk encounter.
But from reading different sites, I think the places where blisters were leave pitted red spots on the tongue after they heal up. The bumps i have on the back and right side of my tongue are purplish, dont hurt, and look like the tongue has just been overcompensating for trauma that occurred from biting the tongue. Basically what I want to know is if I'm worrying for no reason. Is it possible to confuse an initial herpes outbreak with biting your tongue?
I just noticed on the underside of my tongue in a line on both sides are red bumps that look flat but when I touch them they look like skin tags. I was recently diagnosed with HPV and I'm just worried if they are warts. A lot of the pictures I seen look a lot different. My tongue is a bit swollen but I have had a cold for 2 weeks.

I've been suffering from blistering inflammation for 5 years (I'm 29 now). I used to get huge red bumps on my face, especially my cheeks, which would ooz yellowish liquid for 2 days. It has been only a few months since I've gotten it under control. I've tried all kinds of antibiotics, cremes, biopsies, 6 different dermatologists, none of which helped. Last year, I took accutane for 6 months with great results (from a blister every other day to once per month).
