Red bumps on skin of dog

Common Questions and Answers about Red bumps on skin of dog

bumps

For the past week, I've been getting these small red bumps on my skin in random spots (specifically, upper arm, lower leg, upper leg) they dont itch or anything. The two bumps that have been there for a week are now again flattened and have a dry patch. What could this be?
It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs. So my advice would be to consult a dermatologist and get this investigation done to rule out/ confirm scabies.
It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Permethrin and oral ivermectin are the treatment options of scabies. Sometimes there may be recurrent and chronic cases which may require oral treatment of ivermectin.
Hy everybody, I'm writing having the hope that someone will somehow have an answer to my problem. It all started 2 months ago when I noticed a lot of red tiny spots on my skin. They started developing quickly on my back, on my arms and and on my abdomen. I freaked out and I started searching the Internet for an answer and found a lot of terrible deseases like leukemia, lupus and vasculitis and this only freaked me out more.
No red bumps on our Westie, about 9 years old... see my post on the "ear" subject to which I posted today. There may be something in there to consider. My suggestion is to be aggressive about limiting opportunities for food allergies being the problem. As I have already said, feed only No Grain, especially in Kibble (even "good" Kibble) and switch protein source. The step we've gone through of late is to stop feeding all animal/fish protein that has not be broken down.
About three weeks ago I noticed my son had tiny red bumps on his left arm(bottom side) and left leg. Since then it has spread to both legs and still just the left arm. It doesnt itch but there are more and more bumps daily. Nothing has worked to get rid of it. Do you think this is contact dermititis?
About a week ago we noticed she had a raised red bump on her belly I have photos of it then and now, it doesn't seem to bother her but I think it has gotten a little larger and doesn't seem to be getting better. It is only red in color raised and not draining or have a ring around it it is in a circle not odd shaped has hair still growing on it not crusty and no sign of a hole in it . Please help we really cant afford to take to the vet unless we have to.
What a cute dog! It might just be allergies. My dog Oscar gets bumps on the top of his head, they kind of look like zits. One day when I brought him in for vaccinations, the vet told me not to worry, its probably allergies and if it started to bother him, we would further investigate. He only gets them once in a while. Usually when he is frolicking in weeds, etc. They go away in a couple of days. I wouldn't worry unless they start to get large, ooze or hurt him. Just keep an eye on him.
My fiancee has noticed that he has tiny red bumps on his penis. he says thye appear when he sleeps with no clothes on and after a couple of days the will disappear. He also said that there are about 5-12 tiny red bumps and they almost look like smaill pimples.
Im getting weird red bumps all over my body, About a week ago my dog got flees so we got rid of her flees and bombed the house with bug killer and ever since then i have been getting little red bumps that look like tiny mosquito bites, they itch and sting really bad, every time i itch they spread any help or answere??
I just got him 2 days ago and notice bumps on his back. He also has some bumps in his ears. I don't see him scratching them, they are just there, bumps on skin. I noticed it because his hair around these bumps are lifted, but when you pet him you don't feel them. It's only because I noticed the hair difference and I separated the hairs and noticed the bumps. They are not red, just kind of flaky. What do you think he has? ANy over the counter medicine or shampoo????
My boyfriend and I went to Rehoboth Beach, DE last weekend and he has an itchy rash on his waist, ankles and thighs. I have red bumps on my ankles and knees. Some of my bumps are raised and seem to be filled with liquid. He went to the doctor but could not get a diagonosis because doctor sen't sure what it was and prescribed a cortizone cream and antihistimine. Mine seem to be going away. We are thinking his could be scabies and are afraid to sleep together as it could be contagious.
I have got these little red bumps on the inside of my legs and its like they dry up and dead skin comes off and they are on my arms also. I thought that they might be flea bites but they are too little to be that because i do have a house dog. They have got me worried because i dont know what they are.
They are also very prone to folliculitis, or pimple like bumps on the skin. Usually the bumps have a puss-like substance that comes out of them. If your vet feels your dog has folliculitis, he should be treated with antibiotics, which should be continued for a long time, much longer than they are usually used for. To give you an example, our Blue dobe had to be on antibiotics for his folliculitis for 3 full months, at high dosages, before we saw a resolution from it.
my 10-year old noticed that a small patch of skin on the front of one of her knees was red and itchy. She was in a pool. She scratched it. Now it is bumpy clusters and really itchy. I put some RID on it, and although it didn't grow, nor spread, it is still bumpy and itchy. It is nowhere else on her body, and I've now put cortisone (OTC) anti-itch on it. What is this? Just irritation from scratching? A bug bit? Fleas? (the house she was at had a dog) A sore? Scabies?
EVEN AFTER A BATH I WILL SCRUB AND THEN THE NEXT DAY I WILL HAVE LITTLE BITY RED BUMPS AND THEN I SWEAT THEY WILL TURN INTO WHITE BLISTERS. I AM REALLY TIRED OF THESE SOBs.
skin scrapes, the vet never found a single mite on any of them. The only thing she ever found was bacterial infection in the areas of intense scratching. However...I live in the country, and we had mite infested coyotes that had been in our yard...with that bit of information, the vet decided to treat them all for mites. We treated them for 3 months, and all the symptoms disappeared.
I noticed these red dots on my hands this morning. There are several of them on both hands. They are all pretty much perfect circles, solid red throughout with no pus or apparent "bite" marks, and they're all the same size (a little smaller than a pencil eraser). They are not raised, painful, or itchy. They're just red dots (I wouldn't even call them "bumps") on the top and sides of my hands and fingers - none on my palms or feet. Any idea what they might be?
my lips feel dry no matter how much stuff I put on them, and they feel scaly because of all the teeny tiny bumps. I used to have problems with seborrheic dermatitis around my nose when I was a kid so the only other thing I can think of is that. Is there something else they could be? If they are forcyde spots, is there a way to make my lips feel moist again? I don't care about the appearance, but they are very uncomfortable.
Wish I could help. My Mom's dog has a couple of those type bumps. If he rubs at one or scratches at it, it will bleed a bit and scab over. On a white dog it's kind of ugly. The vet said they were just benign little growths. In a ferret, I don't know. It would give you greater peace of mind if a vet checked them and said they were common. I'm encouraged that his overall health seems to still be normal. But 2 bumps growing in a matter of a few months - it would be better to be sure.
I have the red bumps, bottoms of my feet, ankle, chin, a few on my elbow area... I had predisone for 5 days and cream. I thought they might have stopped, but when I stopped preidsone the bumps seem to be coming back. There are only a few bumps; maybe 20 on both legs, but now my skin is thin (from cream) and I scratched BIG TIME today and made a few bleed. I am going to have scares all over my legs. Has anyone found out what these are caused from?
I also notice very very very very small blister type bumps on my fingers that i have popped and released some sort of fluid.. the bumps on my penis/butt/thighs do not seem to have any fluid in them.. just very itchy and red.. I have had sexual intercourse about 3 to 4 months ago.. and have noticed these irritations about 2 months ago.. can masterbation cause it to get worse?.. i was told by a friend that it may be bed bugs?.. is that possible? (fleas? or no?..
It was bad but anyone can get it. Kind of like lide but on the skin. But now every time I get any bumps I am scared that is what I have. I again have bumps all over that itch really bad. Gonna go to the doctor tomarrow and pray that is not what it is.
IT STARTS LIKE LITTLE RED DOTS UNDER THE SKIN AND GROWS INTO A GROUP OF BUMPS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO .
So, anyway, about 3 months ago, out of the clear blue sky, the skin around my eyes erupted into a mass of little red bumps. The symptoms were just like many people on this (and other) websites describe. The bumps are small and red and they are a little bit swollen, but don't hurt. They have a very slight white spot in the middle, like a pimple, but they aren't really a pimple like the big kind some people get when they are teenagers.
Doesn't seem to hurt or annoy him or anything really.its not blood or puss filled, it's just on the top of the skin, and it feels sort of like a wart..Im not sure what this is or how serious it is..I've asked my vet over the phone and he just mentioned surgery to remove it..any ideas what this is an how serious it is so I can determine if surgery is required to remove it..any information would be greatly appreciated I have several pics that i uploaded online..here they are: http://s21.
My dog has had these bumps on his skin for quite some time. Every time I take him to the vet they say something different. From normal to staph to skin tags. Buffett (dog) has gotten really lethargic the lump on his lower back (upper hind quarter) has gotten so big that the hair is unable to lay flat, and now he has two others starting to grow. One on his leg and one under his neck at the breast bone area. I have talked with the vet numerous times but with no clear cut answere.
Over the last 4 months he has been shedding badly and itching alot, also devoloping red bumps on his skin. Now, i guess my vet said he has happy tail syndrom as well. His tail is very blud from the tape and they said the only way to cure it is by docking his tail. i dont personally want to doc his tail and i'd like for him to feel better. They first thought he had mange but his skin scrap cam out negative. they now put him on a streiod but if he even miss one day he gets really bad.
