Common Questions and Answers about Red bumps on lips mouth

bumps

It has only happened maybe like three or four times. But I will get little bumps on my lips. They will start in the corner of my lips and kind of go towards the middle. They are not really painful but it feels like I have bad chapped lips and I have to keep chap stick with me. I have been putting Vitamin E on my lips. It lasts for a little while goes away and I never know when it will happen again.
Additionally, a herpes infection can present as small painful red bumps on and in the mouth, but it doesn’t sound like that is what you are experiencing. Finally, if you were older and had risk factors such as a long history of smoking and alcohol use, oral cancer would be an important differential diagnosis to rule out. Good luck! Let us know what your physician said!
Where the rash stoped there was a rough line outlining where my normal skin began again (that line was a brighter red color).. On the upper lip, same deal, + little whitish bumps on one side of the lip. I keep putting Aquafor to calm it down or else it would burn all the time but when I brush my teeth, Use listerine or eat salty/spicy foods, its burns so much. I've had it almost 2 weeks now .. any ideas?
Yesterday I sprayed some perfume on and a little got on my lips. I washed my mouth area with soap and water and I woke up this morning with tiny bumps on my lips.
for the past few days, my lips have been red, swollen, and with little red bumps on them. it's also around the corner of my lips on the left side. they are also dry and sometimes there's this pus that comes out (making my lips have this crust on them when i wake up).
I just have one or two red bumps on my lips. They dont line my lips they are just singular. They dont hurt really and cant feel them with mouth when I like my lips. I do wear chap stick about once or twice a day, if that. The bumps are really small and not noticable unless you're right up on my face.
The doctor examined me and treated me assuming I had gonerra or chlymidia and the symptoms of that have pretty much cleared up. He was pretty sure the white bumps on my lips were from the HSV-1. He put me on acyclovir. The antibiotics gave me thrush bad in my mouth and a bad rash around my anus and up my butt crack (I assume and hope the itching and redness there is just from the antibiotics). Here is my concern... 1) I have a had one or two 1 mm red bumps on my penis head for 3-4 weeks.
The fingers, hand, wrist and elbow areas clear up with the stroid cream but only to begin the itchy red swells on my lips. While my lips are broken out, the other areas clear up. Every month. After my lips itch and swell, they crack dry out and peel the same exact way every month.. I am afraid to put steroid cream on my mouth so Ive used Blistex which only soothes for a llittle while. It does not clear anything up. Thanks for any help. Oh and the doctor said it's not herpes.
Hello, The red bumps can be due to folliculitis of small hair follicles around the lips and the dry lips can be due to cheilitis. Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case and get cold sores also ruled out.
Now, it is no better and red bumps are appearing around the corner of my mouth.. What are these, and what should I do?
For the last 6 or 7 years I have developed red, sometimes swollen, bumps/lumps which lay on my knuckles and on the tops of my fingers. They are not exactly painful but when you knock them or run your finger over them for instance they feel quite sore and 'blister like'. I get these all times of the year so the weather does not seem to be factor. However, I have noticed that in the summer, they seem to worsen. The area around them can also become dry and scaly looking.
hey everybody. i noticed a few white bumps right on the outside of the border of my upper lip about 9 months ago. my doctor later said they were just sebaceous glands or something and there is nothing to do about them, they will be there forever. The thing is, however, that these bumps have caused all the skin about a mm or two around them to turn red and textured like my lip.
Just a little background. I'm 24 years old. I've been monogamous with the same man for over a year. 4 months ago I broke out around my mouth (the right corner), with one bump on the top of my lips and the other on the bottom. It started as a tiny red bump, & when I tried to pop it, it began bigger (but never did discharge anything).
what are they...I've been getting little bumps on my inner lips lately...at first I thought I was just biting the inside of my mouth when I slept and that is why the inside of my lips felt so uneven and I kept biting the skin and small bumps off through out the day as a nervous habit...Is this herpe's? I thought cold sores were on the the outside of your lip not the inside...
It may present as groups of itchy or tender small red bumps around the mouth. They usually spare the skin bordering the lips may spread on the sides of the chin, then spreading to include upper lip and cheeks. The surrounding skin may be pink, and the skin surface often becomes dry and flaky. The following day I had irritation around the corners of my mouth. The next day it spread to my lips and the skin around the corners of my mouth. It is somewhat irritated (not sure if it's cause I keep thinking about it...). Mine isn't very obvious unless you look close up.
The next day, i awoke and the tiny red bumps had spread to the rest of my bottom lip and the corner of my mouth with a tingling sensation. I use vaseline for the tingling. Then today i awoke, there is no pain, but parts of my lips, top and bottom, are swollen. I am so confused as to what this can be. I really need help. I don't have any STD's, so i am so confused. I can't find answers anywhere.
About two and a half weeks ago I went to the fair and ate a purple candy apple and when I woke up the next morning my lips had bumps on them and my mouth had a red ring around it. It itches and burns if I try to put anything on them. Could anyone tell me what's wrong with them, and my bottom lip turned a different color as well. Help please !!
The bumps on the lips look like a lump that is under the skin. In fact, they're kind of hard to even see except that they are making the lips droop and crinkle in a weird way. When I run my finger down the lips, I feel them easily, and they are painful when I press on them (and painful when I don't now too). They look most like a large pimple that is under the skin. I forgot to mention that when I went to the doctor on Sept. 7, I only had 2 bumps on my vaginal lips.
For the past few years of my life, I've been getting cold sores on my mouth from stress. They aren't frequent and I never really thought much of them. Two days ago I woke up with an awful sore throat and went to see the doctor and was told I had a bacterial infection in my throat. I have had aches in my back for these past two days as well. And then this morning, I woke up to find one red bump in my pubic hair but not near my genitals, but closer to my belly button.
I put some zit cream on them and they are starting to go away. I also have little white bumps inside of my mouth, and my lips seem to be dryer than normal. I hope this is not herpes or something. Also, a few days before this encounter I was also experiencing lower back pain for no reason at all. Not be be too detailed. She did use teeth occasionally, and gave me a hand-job with out lubrication at first which kind of hurt. Maybe this is why my penis head is sore.
There are some conditions in which one would get some bumps on the skin near the mouth. They can even get some bumps on the lips that are nothing majorly important. Given that the best thing to do is seek out your doctor for looking at this to have them tell you whats going on. Even if she has HSV-1 orally about 50% of the US adult population has it and typically get it during our childhood years. Nothing really major about the coldsores. My advice seek the assistance of your doctor.
This morning i woke up and my lips are red and quite sore, it got me quite paranoid and i ended up searching on the net and things like herpes was popping up. Is this a possible sympton?
In addition to redness, there are usually small red bumps or pus bumps, and mild peeling. Sometimes the bumps are the most obvious feature, and the disease can look a lot like acne. The areas most affected are within the borders of the lines from the nose, to the sides of the lips, and the chin. There is frequent sparing of a small band of skin that borders the lips. Occasionally, the areas around the nose, eyes, and cheeks can be affected. Sometimes there is mild itching or burning.
