Common Questions and Answers about Red bumps on face not acne

bumps

Avatar f tn I have had for the past 2 years small red bumps on my face in top of my nose, cheeks, around the nose, forehead, etc...I get red but not as much like other people. I used Elidel for 11/2 years and it worked great now I had to stop because of fear that it causes cancer. I have been using metrogel for 8 days but at first it was great and now my pimples are starting to come out again is that part of the process???
Avatar n tn At first, I believed this bumps were hypertrophic acne scars. I thought this because the bumps appear exactly on the same location where I had pimples. The biggest bump I thought was related to a really big pimple I had on my nose 5 years ago. Now, I don't know if the bump was very big at first. I would think if it was big at first I would have noticed it and been conscious of it.
Avatar m tn It kind of resembles a pimple but for sure isnt and is sometimes a little more red some days. I need to know what this one dot on my face is so i can treat it. Can you help me out with a possible diagnostic of what is on my face. My best guess is a cluster of blood vessels or somthing along that line but would like to know some treatments.
Avatar f tn I've had this for three days now. My face started getting itchy (kinda like how it would feel from really dry skin). I have tried not to scratch it, so I've just rubbed it a little or wash my face. I found out that washing it releives the itchiness a little. After I wash my face, I've noticed that the redness gets worse but then just goes away in about an hour. My skin is rough and feels like I have little tiny bumps on it. What is this.
Avatar f tn ve had them before and they went away but this time there are more bumps and it has spread to the side of my face, under my nose, on the outside of my ear, and on my chin. I have not changed anything in my make-up routine, lotions, perfumes, or medications. The bumps are not red and don't itch. I have been washing my face with mental soap and warm water. I have no clue what cause the bumps/rash but I would like to figure out a way to treat this. Than you for your help.
912322 tn?1243528988 Ive noticed that my 2 month old Stephany, is getting little red bumps on her forhead and on one side of her face, and on her neck a little bit. I always wipe her face with a soft wet cloth every night during her bath, but it doesnt seem to help.

Avatar f tn Hello good evening, I have a question I recently developed a rash that is red and spreading on my left side of my face. The rash started with 2 bumps on the left side of my face and started spreading down. It looks as if I have cystic acne but I’m sure it’s not acne, I never had acne in my teen years. And this sort of developed after going to Sephora and letting a makeup artist try on a foundation on my face. I had never had this type of issue though? Could it had been the make up I tryed on ?
Avatar f tn I am with you I can not stand t shirts I am always wearing tanks an now my chest looks terrible they are every where I thought having five pimples on my face was bad this is worse
Avatar f tn I have a similar condition on my chin. Redness that would never completely go away and acne bumps that would get quite large and deep filled with puss. I did see a dermatologist and am currently taking Doxycycline which has helped. I was using a Rx cream, but it got too costly and wasn't that effective over time. Oddly enough, I found a home treatment that's helped. After I shower I apply some apple cider vinegar to my chin. Once it dries, I apply 100% aloe vera gel over it.
Avatar n tn Hello, Such itchy bumps can be due to contact dermatitis, allergy, hives or bacterial or viral infection. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used, whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Avatar n tn The doctor perscribed a cream for my daughter because she had a rash on her leg. I tried it on my face and the blisters and itching almost went away instantly. The cream is called Hydrozole witch is a broad spectrum anti-fungal and anti-flammatory cream. It contains 1% cortizone and 1% clotrimazole and you should only put a little bit onto the infected area. Once applied, it will almost dissapear instantly. After trying everything, this is the only cream that works.
Avatar f tn I have had this rash on and off for the last few months. As of yesterday it will not go away. It is all over my cheeks and chin and nose and some on my forehead. It's not really itchy. I have taken allergy medicine and Benadryl but it hasn't helped. It isn't really like hives. Almost looks like acne but the bumps are all the same size and they're just red no white heads or anything. You can't really even feel them. It's almost as if they're under the skin.
Avatar f tn Continue with the Yaz. This is a good pill for acne-prone skin as it is not based on testosterone like some others. It will take about 3 months until it's effect is visible. An excellent product is Rosaliac micellar gel by La Roche-Posay which is for skin prone to redness. Metrogel is quite strong. It is normal to have an initial outbreak but if your skin does not start to improve or you feel you are having a bad reaction, speek to your doctor about changing products.
Avatar n tn Hey there, I have always had a history of acne (mild but involved an occasional cyst), but more recently I have had 2 bumps that start off being tiny red bumps that are hardly noticeable that proceed into being inflamed and getting bigger and more red, then remaining for what has been a little over a month. They are both in an area of hair on my face so I though at first it was an ingrown hair, but have had no success with warm compresses.
384896 tn?1335294331 Well, does it look like tiny zits? red ones? Cause it could be baby acne which goes away on it's own and don't pop them... Her pours are working on their own, this happens to all kids at some point before their 1. If it was exzema it's be patches of dry and flakey stuff. I believe you probably know what it lookd like though, but really sounds like acne. You can put some Eucerin Cream/Lotion on it.
Avatar n tn I know every summer since HS (I am now a senior in college) that I would break out in the same symptoms (very itchy and red bumps - no pus or anything like that) not only on my face but all over, but especially on my face. My mom said she never noticed, but of course I did! Anyway, my sister was a lifeguard and told me that she had the same problem being outside but also having to constantly re-applying on sunblock and sweating.
Avatar f tn IPL helped me but is very expensive and the rosacea comes back .... Rosacea can be simply redness like what you have or small blisters on checks, or acne like bumps. It will leave broken veins on face as you age. It is a very frustrating disorder. I am using Renova and a sulfa lotion as antibiotics are not an option. And this combo is working. I did go through a course of IPL treatments: great results, but the condition came back within a year, so I can't afford that type of remedy.
Avatar n tn Hi. My skin has always been clear but about six months ago I got acne. The acne on my face keeps spreading. It's starts off as very small bumps on my face which later get red and swell a little.
Avatar f tn Not really sure where to post this because its like a rash but acne at the same time. It has lasted for about 10 months and I take protopic and it seems to help and Triamcinolone works but as soon as I stop using them it comes back in just a couple days. I just want a cure for this because medications help but it just keeps coming back. As you can see, it is just a group of small bumps acne like, they are not painful and they just show up almost overnight and are somewhat bright red.
Avatar f tn m a 17 year old male, and recently I went to my doctor for a regular checkup. He commented on the redness and spots that were showing on my face. They weren't necessarily pimples, in most cases they were just empty red bumps. My doctor put me onto a facial medication known as Epiduo. (http://www.epiduo.com/) I'm not sure where you live and whether it's available to you or not, but I would recommend talking to your doctor about it (I'm from Australia, and we have it here).
