Common Questions and Answers about Red bumps on face but not pimples

I have numerous pimple like bumps on my forehead, but they're not red or *****, or anything. Just bumps! And everyone always says stuff to me like "You have alot of pimples on your head" "Look how bumpy your forehead is" It really makes me upset. I should be greatful because I haven't got acne, but it's really embarrasing and makes me self concious. I've tried numerous face washes, cleansers etc. I found some made them go, but came back a few days later.
I have had for the past 2 years small red bumps on my face in top of my nose, cheeks, around the nose, forehead, etc...I get red but not as much like other people. I used Elidel for 11/2 years and it worked great now I had to stop because of fear that it causes cancer. I have been using metrogel for 8 days but at first it was great and now my pimples are starting to come out again is that part of the process???
After and until now (20 years old), I have what appears to be a red rash with raised smooth bumps on my cheeks mostly. My face flushes quite easily so I try to avoid excess heat and dry places. I do have mild acne but not near where this rash appears. I have never been able to make it go away and have used extremely gentle cleansers and moisturizers to help it go away.
I'm still a young teen but I have had these bumps on my face for a while now. I have them next to my nose and under my nose and under my bottom lip, on my cheeks, and somewhat on my forehead. I am not sure what they are but they do not bother me though. I think I started getting more when I went to Thailand but they never went away. I do have dry skin also. They are the same color as my skin but sometimes they are red.
I have several small, raised white bumps on my face both in areas I shave and places I don't; these occur only on my face and once they appear don't get any larger. They are not red, not painful or itchy and they don't go away. I have every oily skin but generally don't get pimples.
one difference being that I have two of those bumps on my face. They are DEFINITELY not pimples but we can't figure it out. We have both been tested within the last 3 months and we are clean but we went to the doctor with this latest problem and the doctor looked at my boyfriend for all of 2 seconds and said "it's probably herpes" and gave him a test.
Hello, These bumps can be due to acne vulgaris, infected hair follicles or boils. acne is due to an overactivity and plugging of the oil glands. The main cause of acne is increased levels of hormones during adolescence. The white dot in the middle is due to white heads. Just keep you face clean by washing with a mild soap atleast twice a day. Pat it dry and do not rub it. Avoid picking or pressing the acne. You can also use Benzoyl peroxide 5% lotion or gel once at bedtime.
It started more than a year ago, they are usually red-ish in color, with a white head (but not all of them..some are just red spots). They come and go, decrease in size and color, but is always something under my eyes. This is the reason I went to a dermatologist a year ago and then to a plastic surgeon who discovered another problem with my skin, the basal cell carcinoma.
The past week i have noticed tiny bumps resembling pimples on my neck, spreading up onto my lower jaw line and face. It almost looks like razor burn. No pain or itching, but I am concerned as I can't figure what it could be. It is most noticeable after i shower in the morning, maybe from the heat/steam from the shower? I have racked my brain for anything new i am doing and have only come up with one thing.
I have the almost the same problem. My face is all blotchy. I use mild cleansers and such, but my face is always red! I don't understand. Someone help? I'd really like to know also.
Every thing she said was not even worth putting up. But it is the standard answer for bumps on fingers. Copied and pasted to everyone who has bumps. A generic answer. And that is what doctors do. With no regard to personal symptoms or conditions they are in. Or things the hands come in contact with.
It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference. Well, my skin gets hard bumps under the skin which arent pimples and they will form permenant red marks on my face. I also have three spots on my cheeks near my nose that have thickening skin and contu=inuously flake off and turn red and repeat continuously. nothing seems to help..
It tends to clear up and just when I think it's gone, it will pop back up in the same general area, but not the exact spot. I have changed everything I use on my face, from cosmetics, to skin care..and it still happens. It does not resemble acne at all..I don't know what it resembles! Help me if you can!!! Thanks.
I have never had bad skin. These itchy red bumps are not pimples, there is no puss inside. They are almost like round, red patches of dry skin. They don't looks like any pictures of typical skin problems. They have moved to my chin, neck, arms and chest; but are worse on my face. My GP said its some sort of Dermatitis... It's not ringworms or an infection. Could it be an allergic reaction? I recently got a kitten that was dipped in lime sulfur.
a couple days ago i felt them and just thought they were like pimples on my eye, but when i woke this morning and went to wash my face, my left bottom eyelid was surrounded by a bunch of little red dots, they do not itch or flake, and they only burn when i put rubbing acohol on it and it only burns for a second.
Hi, I'm 17 and I have pimples on my penis since my puberty started, so I've always been too embarrassed to have sex. They look like the pimples on my face but the difference is that on my face one pimple goes away and another comes near it and so on.. and on my penis the same pimples stay from the beginning. I squeezed them, tried to use the same products working well on my face, but no result. They just get full every single time. So please tell me what should I do to get rid of them?
The sore spots are only on my scalp, not my face. I have been putting antibiotic cream (clindasol) on the spots. It seems to make the soreness subside, but they're not going away. So far, Head and shoulders doesn't help. I'm going to change my shampoo to see if that helps.
I also have really bad acne on my face and back so I know it's not pimples. I tried popping the first one thinking it was a pimple but nothing came out except for blood. I was hoping it would go away, but no. It stayed. Please get back to me ASAP. Thank you.
A few days ago, I noticed in the bathroom that I had small red bumps on my inner thighs. I don't know if it's anything serious, but I'm worried. I'm still in high school and still a virgin. I never had any sexual activities with others before. I don't know if it's anything serious... because I tried touching the big, popped one (I don't know how it popped.) and it hurt. The others are small and red, sort of like pimples. Is this some sort of disease/infection?
I am a virgin and not yet sexually active , as i am only 15 . but yeah can someone give me some info on what this is ? is it permanent ? will it dissapear once my pubic hairs grow back ? HELP!
Hello, The bump on lips can be due to folliculitis or boil but for the bumps on penis, warts should be ruled out. Warts are small painless growth on skin caused by Human Papilloma Virus. These can be light or dark. They are usually oval in growth and raised forming rough surface in the skin. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
redness can be due to overuse of steroid cream (cortisone) myself like u I had some redness that was going away slowly but I said I might see a doctor since doctors are for me (for myself!), but that was not the right decision because the doctor prescribed me Cortisone and my problems began and now I have been suffering this since last year and I have gone through immense depression but I worked out my siprtuallity by trying to be more religious person......
I have small itchy red bumps all over my face. Its mostly on the right side of my face. it itches so much that i constantly have to wash my face. also my face doesnt not like to be around heat. i have had acne my whole life but this time its worse. its also on the left side of face and if i dont itch i will go crazy.
I am a male, 20 years old and have recently had some problems with the skin on my face, mainly my cheeks. I have always had reasonably good skin on my face but about a month ago I noticed my cheeks started to become red with tiny little bumps (like tiny blind pimples) a few weeks latter the skin on my face started to go blotchy around my cheeks and mouth when I had a hot shower, a shave, sprayed deoderant etc.
it kind of looks like the pictures of rosacea i've googled, except that 1) i'm asian and fairly dark skinned (about olive-y colour) 2) the bumps are not accompanied by flushed skin, except a faint blush on my cheeks that's a little redder than usual but not very ostentatiously red. it only turns redder if i scratch it. taking piriton (anti histamine) helps, but doesn't make the condition completely disappear, only calms it a little.
so I still don't know if it is roseaca. They do not look like pimples at all. They are not on my cheeks (yet) They do not itch. When I feel the area where the marks are it kinda feels scaly but I just started noticing this system about 6 months ago. I workout and sweat a lot and I wear a baseball hat to keep my hair out of my face. Could this be from the sweat running down the sides of my face?
