937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
2187580 tn?1338053554 You should have your period about once every 28 days (or slightly shorter/longer) lasting no longer than 7 days. You may need to look into taking some birth control pills to help regulate your period so something like this doesn't happen, but if this is the only time it has, your doctor may decide to have you track it.
Avatar n tn a period, it actually means that you have a longer cycle. There are many reasons for changes in your cycle length. Stress (good or bad), travel, new job, etc. can all cause a delayed ovulation and therefore delay your period.. Your body must menstrate and create a new cycle for ovulation to occur, if you hadnt alreay ovulated ...
Avatar f tn This one is for the ladies. My cycle, as many of yours probably are, is out of whack. Lately it's been coming a week or even three weeks early. My headaches and symptoms get terrible the week before it starts and during it. Would birth control help or make it worse? I'm curious as to if any of you use it to help with headaches and regulating the cycle in general.
Avatar f tn For about a year now I have had severe pain during my cycle. I did't have these pains before but now I can't stand to get out of bed during this time. I have headaches the day before that puts me down then my period starts the next day. It's not like a cramp it is a constant pain so I take motrin every 4 hours for at least 2 days. If I don't take the motrin I can't get up. I still hurt but I can walk.
Avatar n tn No, HPV will not affect your menstrual cycle, there must be some other cause for it. Is there any possibility of pregnancy? Have you had a LEEP or cone biopsy at all due to dysplasia caused by HPV? It may be time to make an appointment with a doctor.
Avatar f tn since then I check my TSH regularly.it is normal now I dont take medicine .since last 6 month i am getting my cycle longer again(60-65 days).we are planning for a baby.will there be any difficulty due to my irregularity.
Avatar m tn Hi there. When we miss a period, we aren't actually 'skipping it', but we are having a longer than usual cycle. Here is how a woman's cycle works and how we track it: Cycle day one is the first day of your period. You count from there. The average woman then ovulates midway through around day 14 to 15. Then we get our period around day 28. That's why it feels like we should have one 'every month'.
Avatar f tn The chance of getting pregnant revolves around your ovulation cycle. You can look it up on an ovulation tracker. Put in when your periods are and it will tell you when your best/worst chance at getting pregnant is basically.
Avatar n tn You could have fertility problems and the quicker you get it checked the quicker you will find out what is normal for you. If there is nothing wrong then getting on birth control will not only help with your bleeding but will regulate you and allow you to plan around your period easier. Good luck to you.
Avatar n tn have you tried vitamin B6 this is good for getting your cycle on track,as for trying for 6 months with no success.that is a short time really.can take couples years to concieve.however since your cycle is a bit wacky,i would concentrate on getting that regular first.once this is sorted then concieveing should be easy.since you will know your ovulation.failing that bed from cd12 onwards.until you are confident you have ovulated.
178590 tn?1294176767 Brown Eyed Gurl, It's not uncommon to have menstrual cycle length change a little after a miscarriage, like a pendulum that has been knowed out of kilter, it takes a while to get back into its rhythm. Cycles up to 34 days in length, however, are normal. The last cycle sounds abnormal though. This may be a one time thing, so wait to see if the cycle normalizes.
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
Avatar f tn If you're in perimenopause, that's no unusual since the menstrual cycle goes haywire!
Avatar f tn ve shifted to a longer menstrual month (such as, 32 days from period to period)? If your cycle has shifted and is a little longer, but is regular at that new number of days, I wouldn't worry at all. If it's getting longer and longer every month, that is more unusual.
Avatar n tn I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.
11305938 tn?1417998533 For alll the ladies out there. I have had some issues with my menstrual cycle since my diagnosis. I don't think it has to do with my MS but I thought I would ask your opinions. For the past two years my cycle has been messed up and I just thought it. Was due to all the stress etc. I was getting it every three or four months and for the past year, I have only had it once. Before all this MS nonsense I wwas regular and had it every month.
Avatar f tn No i havn't taken a pregnancy test i was thinking i should but i've read implantation only last's a couple days and i've had this for aleast four days darkish and lightish. I've been on it for about 2 years now and never had anything like this and i've missed some pills in the past and still never had a weird cycle.
Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.
Avatar m tn com/womens-reproductive-health/menstrual-cycle/reasons-behind-irregular-periods/ Significant weight gain or weight loss is one of the reasons for irregular periods. Even though low body weight is the most common cause of irregular periods, obesity (obesity effects)also causes various interruptions in your regular menstrual cycle. If you are a victim of severe emotional stress, then you can possibly experience irregular or missed periods.
5132597 tn?1364074607 I'm 19 years old and have a hard time getting wet when aroused. Even if I do there is barely enough to notice or make a difference. I'm not on any birth control and have a normal menstrual cycle. What's going on and what can I do to...I don't know, get more wet and stay that way longer?
