Common Questions and Answers about Rash on legs and arms only

rash

After a week or so I noticed it spread all over my stomach/<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> upper <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> (less <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span>). It is mostly concentrated <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my stomach. It now looks like small red blotches all over that get worse after i shower and tend to get less and less as the day goes by. It comes back when I sweat or shower or have any stress. I went to a dermatologist and he said it was Pityriasis Rosea.
tonight, my legs were itchy and i noticed small, itchy red bumps on my legs <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> that look nothing like my previous <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> i am very worried about this new <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span>. it has been a month now and i just want it all to go away. any help would be much appreciated!
It first started with a small area <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my right arm but the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span> became bigger, then <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> both my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> now <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> the front of my leg. The bumps look like pimples and got inflamed/raised like a small mosquito bite when scratched. It fits all the descriptions of a heat rash but it has been a week now and they are not on the neck, in the groin, under the breasts, or in elbow creases. Just on my arms and legs!
I have just recently begun to develop some sort of acne or rash, and I am having trouble finding what exactly it is I have. I have done research but come to no solid solution, and cannot afford to see a dermatologist for an in-person diagnosis.
I can tell you for sure it's not a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span> because there is no bumps, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span>ly the skin color changes <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> goes back to normal after a while. What could this be? Stress, NERVE Damage? Is this related to STDs or HIV at all? I need some reassurance.
Hi, I'm 24 years old and for the past two weeks I've been itching like CRAZY only on my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span>. it started <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span>, I've not changed any soaps, I don't use fabric softener, I've washed everything I own just in case of allergic reaction, When I scratch these white rash-like bumps show up all over my arms andlegs, it's worse at night to the point where I can't sleep. I've gone through tubes and tubes of savlon which helps to ease the pain and itchyness for about twenty minutes or so.
There is no <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span> or any sign of irritation <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> is mostly <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my lower <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> but sometimes can be <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> the upper. There is no itching on any other part of my body. The itching feels almost like pins and needles. It seems to get irritated after I shower or swim or my body temperature increases with exercise but mostly water is the common cause of it starting. However there are times when it will just start with nothing to irritate it.
I have severe itching on my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span>. I have no <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span>, no allergies, absolutely nothing <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my skin. As others have mentioned, it usually starts after a shower or bath, but it can happen on its own or if something brushes up against my skin.I start itching and one itch leads to another until I'm going crazy for relief. I have my own theory. I believe its nerves or nerve itching.
The itching is <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span>ly <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span>, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> it comes in waves. Sometimes I can't stand it <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> i scratch until I bleed and other times I don't really notice the itch. Do you have any advice? If you do could you please e-mail me at ***@**** ? I need any suggestion. Thank you.

They look like small little dry pimples with some looking like they are dry. They are <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span>ly <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> now spreading towards my wrist. What can it be? A relative said that it could be scabies, I don't know.
one of the reasons why I was so concerned is that after googling about my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span>, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> finding information <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> the Internet <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> whether HIV rashes itch or not, I have found some sites where they say that it does rash, so that was confusing me a lot. May I ask a follow-up question on this? you seem to be pretty certain that it does not itch, can you provide more background on your answer please?
In odd conjunction with this I have noticed little bits of this also <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span>, although it seems to go away after a day or so- whereas <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> it never seems to go away. I've been to see my Dr. who gave me a week of antibiotics (penicillin) and fucidin cream. Neither seems to be making a difference. Please help, when you have a moment. Thank you.
My 5 month old son has a non-itching <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span> that <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span>ly appears <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> his <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span>. The rash varies in size from and centimeter in diameter to not quite dime size. He has had this rash for about 2 weeks now. Some days there are only one or two marks. Other days there are 10-15 of varying size. The Dr. thought maybe it was because we switched soaps. But we have been on a different soap now for 2 1/2 weeks and there is no sign of improvement.
also i shave of course my armpits <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> no <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span> is there. the '<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>rash</span>' has continued to get worse <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> both <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> hands. its unbearable - esp with doing dishes and cleaning - so of course i use cotton lined gloves. again-thank you for all the info and i will check out the websites.
Currently, its my right arm thats suffering the most, i have something like 20 dots on my right arm. i <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span>ly spot 3 <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my left arm, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> have somewhat like 5 <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> each of them. I ask an adult about this and one of them says its because of the heat and sweating. The other said that its a sign that my blood is dirty. Im still a teenager btw.
A rash recently developed on my sons legs 13 years old in an isolated pattern. The rash appears to be 2" above his knees and then down to just above his shoe line. The areas are red and appear to be taunt/tight. Their is no oozing or head to the bump, howver it does appear to be raised 1/8", circular in shape and mainly on the front and sides and very little on the back or calf area. I would describe it as appearing to be a lot of mosquito bites.

I seem to get a rash which occurs only in the morning last for at least 30 to 40 minutes then goes down when it goes down its interesting because I have white rings on the legs not that prominant <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> but I get these sort or irregular bumps in no particular pattern <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my lower <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> thighs dotted around they seem to be under the skin and the only thing I have had over a while is thrush that didn't seem to go away because I was treated with about 8 courses of antibiotics if anyone could s
Everytime i go and spend the night at my boyfiends house, i wake up, with a certain area on my ankle and arm that is very itchy and once i start scratching , it seems as it just speads throughout my arm <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span>, but never <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> the same spot twice. What could this be? I keep debating if it is scabies or hive. I have eaten shrimp before this happens.
It's only <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> starts out looking just a bit smaller than a mosquito bite, but then after scratching more bumps appear in like a patch. What could this be?? It's driving my husband crazy as well because I will just lay in bed and itch at night, but by morning the rash is gone so it will be hard for me to show it to a doctor. I did take a picture of the bumps I plan to ask my ob when I go back but it's really driving me crazy!
Oatmeal baths, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> liberal application of emollients containing glycerine should do.
my one year old has broken out in red bumps <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> his <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span>ly. he has had them for about a week now and i can get rid of them. it looks like a bad case of acne. the bumbs are now dry and kind of rough. i dont know what to do about them. This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/240290'>Red bumps on arms and legs.</a>.
i have some little red, raised bumps that have appeared <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>on</span> my <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>arms</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>and</span> lower <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>legs</span>(calves). they itch horribly. they first appeared on the back side above my elbow and spread to my arms the first day and onto my legs the second. i went fishing the day before(exactly 24 hrs) these appeared. they seem to only be where my arms and legs where exposed that day. also i have been under a tremendous amount of stress, could either one of these have caused this.
